Thursday Isolated showers or drizzle, clearing later. Southeast winds tending northeast later.
So just like the last SAU one? Awesome.
P.S. paid ya Pete
-
Near my house, they re-surfaced a piece of road 3 times in two years, each time it's great for a few months then it folds in sections and turns to shit.
-
I've driven on dirt roads in better condition than many of the roads in sydney metro.....
+1

Sorry Pete, think I'll pay on the day, unless you really really need the money?
-
We pay for the pollies' wages, nothing else. f**king flamin mongrels
Prove me wrong, they take so long to build the M5, then they redo it because the first time round they did a shit job. Who gets all the money? Managers
-
p.s. I don't think it's backing place, more like the clips that go on the ends of the pads
cos it's still rubbing
More glow-y goodness next track day?
-
Hey fatz is there 'pay on the day' allowed? Might snuggle a couple extra people IMO
I'll pay you at the end of the week
-
White + slate = silver? could work
But shame the backing plate was rubbing and not the actual rotors that were glowing
But yeah I could have braked harder, if only I had pedal pressure
-
Awesome pics Xmetal
Damn backing plate, should have made sure they were on properly lol. At least they made some glow effects. Also some random front pads makes for a smokey entry hahaha. Great pics again, you must have an awesome lens and skills.

great pics

First time at the SAU OP track day, was awesome. Hell I'm a poor hobo and I still went, had to borrow a helmet at the inconvenience of a fellow skyline-r but was awesome. Now to get a helmet and prepare for the next one!
It's not exactly ideal to jump onto the track while it's wet, first corner I almost lost it on the outlap behind the ute and couldn't catch up to it because I was too scared to put my car into a wall. But it's still a lot of fun and pushes you as a driver (especially if you're in a slow car like my R31).
Don't be afraid, the track is a hell of a lot safer than the road and you can really push your car to it's limit with no worries of police or other public (apart from other cars on the track).

Glad to hear that kid is alright, hopefully he makes a full recovery.
-
Whoa hope your cars are okay
-
Same as 4th Oct pete? 'Driver training', bring a helmet, non-flammable long sleeve clothes + enclosed shoes etc.?
-
i dont think there was a silver r31 unless he's talking about liams white over silver silo
and its good to see i didnt make it in the trailer playing in the mud, without proof it never happened
Haha yeah lucky I didn't have the camera on me
-
the master cylinder on my car is stuffed, had sfa pedal pressure, was fun trying to slow the car down but. I don't have a silver R31 but. Think I was the slowest car that was pushing it hahaha
*edit* haha I made it onto the trailer, epic body roll
-
Hmm can't edit my post?
A few pics here

Whoa crap forgot to thank everyone involved in organising and running the day, it was smooth running and very enjoyable.
Sorry for holding people up on the first outlap, cold Sumitomos @ 32psi are no good in the rain
Was my first time ever on a track, and was in the rain in an old tired family car haha, good fun
Didn't do too bad fanging it with the N/A S15, but 3.7 ratio borg whiner diff fails
Now I gotta do more things to get it more track ready... And so the bug bites...
Thanks again everyone for a great day, and thanks to mainyard for lending me his helmet, sorry for inconvenience mate
-
Awesome day, worth every hard earned dollar! Glad I could borrow a helmet and have a stab at the track.
Wet track meant lots of opposite lock action, having lame rear end grip doesn't help.
Time to get a helmet and save up for the next event.

Mate,,,as Ben said,,,no helmet hire,,,but I have the wifes helmet of which she will never wear again. Worn once,,,its up for sale. I'll bring it tomorrow.
10.00pm and it's still raining,,,fun fun fun.
Neil.
Ah sorry my bad, dunno how I missed the "no helmet hire" bit
Well it stopped raining down here (I'm <10min drive from OP), should be soggy tomorrow but hopefully dries up a bit. I'll be there spectating, might get down there early so I can snap some pics. Gotta get up in 4 hrs, oh wait, 3 hrs
Enjoy the day everyone.
P.S. I won't be able to afford a helmet, being poor sucks
-
so no helmet hire?
-
Yeah I'm a dogs supporter, surprising the amount of Parramatta "fans" appeared before and after the game.
But grand final is a tough one, don't want Parramatta to win because of said fans, even though the rest of my family go for the Eels, but don't want Melbourne to win either.

Rain on Sunday

So... helmet hire available on the day? We can pay on the day? I'm planning on paying cash

sh@un pretty much summed it up, seriously I've seen marked police cars PASS BY shitflamin mongrels mentioned previously and do absolutely nothing.
I especially hate the retards who go 60 km/h onto the M5 then do what? Accelerate at 1 km/h/min while cars/trucks/B-doubles are doing 100 FLYING past by or slamming on the brakes behind them. They won't be part of an accident but they will cause it for the cars behind them, fksticks!
I like the bullbar idea, I know the R31 has an aftermarket kit, seen a couple on ebay
