  1. Hey Rice, (apologies Ive not caught your name) Considering my manifold is a true split pulse and the housing is also split pulse which side of the housing should i be drilling and tapping to take the emap reading from? Surely thered be a small difference between the smaller scroll and the larger scroll pressure wise when spooling the turbo?
  2. My 8474 turned up on friday from Turbosource but of course I'm away for work for the next few weeks and have a huge list of crap to finish off on the Car before ill have any data but rice you should be happy as i will have a pretty reasonable amount. (egts, map, emap, etc all from the KV8) Anyway...big list 1.Finish fab of hotside piping to cooler 2.Drill housing for emap and run tubing etc 3.Plumb everything (coolant, oil/OPR, gates) 4.Send housing, dump, gate bodies and screamer pipes for coating 5.Purchase and fit thermocouples 6.Wire in ETC 4 x2off for egts( 3rd party coz f wiring) 7.Lick a stamp and send it
  3. Isnt your rpm and accel rate dependant on load/traction? Ie the more load required, the slower the rate? Hence people try to replicate the accel rate the car would achieve on the street/strip vs what they set the dyno too? so that it gives an accurate amount load on the car to tune with?
  4. Usmair, was your car tuned by JEM? i think seeing your dynograph gave me the info that helped me change my mind in going a 9180 after seeing your power curve. Makes ridiculous power but I was looking to see target pressure in before ~5k. Yours seemed somewhere around 5.8k ish from memory. Keen to see how the 84 goes, hopefully sacrifice a small amount of spool against the 83 to outflow the 91 at 30psi.
  5. Just for anyone else interested in the new black series. Turbosource.com have them advertised and priced on their page in the US. They have said to me that the turbos are currently getting assembled and should be ready to ship end of February. The guys seemed relatively good to deal with and have some interesting stuff in the works for the RB and efr. Ill reserve the rest of my judgement until the turbo turns up. Maybe worth a look. anyway.

Iron bearing housing Bit of info i found for everyone. Seems as though they will be available with aluminium or iron bearing housings. Statement from BW:[Note that we are still going through the final phases of the release process. When these new models are available to order, I will distribute a Product Release Bulletin, as well as the appropriate pricing. This should take place in December 2018. The first deliveries should start in Q1-2019].
  7. Hmm thats a shame. I have a damaged 9180 sitting here at the moment that i might use to fab everything up then make a decision on whether to go a 83 or 84 if the 84 is available. Any one got any opinions on when the 8474 would be in at say 25psi on a built 26 with tomei 260 9.15 cams.
  8. Hi all, Ive been reading through quite a bit of this and various other turbo side threads. Ive got a 32 GTR currently with -5s and e85 and all the other support mods. Making ~370kw. But im looking for more so ive been tossing up between the 8374 and the 9180 until reading about the 8474. Who would be a good person to speak to about sourcing 1? As im quite close to pulling th trigger and ordering 6boost manifold etc.
