  1. Dunno, I'm gonna install the bolt next to the speaker, without using that stupid metal bracket. I've seen it done in other r33's.
  2. You shouldn't need the converter, as when you buy a Pioneer head unit in Australia, it accomodates for the Aussie frequencies. You might need the adaptor for the aerial, as I think they're different in Japan.
  3. My r33 had the same restraint system on it, and i removed it straight away i got it complianced. That bracket can be removed with a little mucking around. You'll have to remove the rear seats and you will be able to remove the bracket with ease. Shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes. Cheers
  4. No not from hockey player, just a nick name in high school (jagga) with 33 added, as per my email address ([email protected]) Was also thinking of personalised plates JAGR33 for my car at the time of subscribing to these forums. Cheers
  5. When your switch is in the 'half way' postion, your antenna should be at half mast. When it's in the 'full extended' position the antenna should be fully extended, regardless of whether playing cd's or listening to radio. I say since you've got your aerial going up everytime you switch on stereo, don't worry about whether it sits at half or full. Cheers
  6. I have an r33 GTR and i also have a double din head unit in it. The previous owner in Japan had relocated the climate control in the glove box, hence leaving the three gauge din and double din head unit. Looks great but is a bit of pain sometimes having to open your glovebox everytime you need air con....
  7. Its the green/red one. Check car audio forum for wiring diagram!!
  8. I'm in inner east too, Abbotsford to be exact. U take $30 for it?
  9. Try JSV in Thomastown 94664499, they most likely have them, got r33 ones from there a while ago.
  10. There are quite a few cosmetic differences between the two: - Different headlights (much better!) - front bar with round indicator and spotlight (series 2) - Dash fascia has rough finish rather than smooth for series 1 - Rear 'SKYLINE' lettering on bootlid is in same colour as car for series 2, as opposed to in clear plastic for series 1 - Higher boot spoiler on series 2, although did come out on '95 model series 1. - Interior cloth trim different on series 2 Also you'll get twin airbags as standard in series 2, '93-'94 driver's airbag option, '95 driver's air bag standard. Not sure about ABS, I think it's an option on series 1, standard on series 2 (Don't quote me on that one!!) Also some electrical components on engine are different, eg. coil packs There might be more but that's what I have discovered anyway.... Hope it is of some help, Cheers
  11. You should try Technik Tuning in Thornbury, ask for Dean. His done heaps of super afc installations and has on site dyno facilities. Ive had mods done there b4 and he's reasonably priced aswell. Phone no. is 94951683 or mob. 0421069883. May even b able to give u quote today!!
  12. My previous car had the timer mounted on top of the steering column, so you could easily see it while looking at the instrument cluster, looked quite good actually.
