I think the problem is with age, these car are getting close to 10 years old and they are just giving up,to old, left the building, bit the farm,etc etc. I have one in my car and it has not worked for a while and i tried alot of thing and no one will touch them. It is old technolgy and these cars arent made that well, I know we all love our skylines but they are old cars that were mas produced and nissan has never being the good at things on the inside of cars. I am thinking of getting the pop up flap to work with a switch and turning it into a storage place for a gps or a mobile phone. Cheers Andrew.

I drove from Nowra on the NSW south coast to the north coast the other day and first the hicas light came on then the abs and then all the orange lights came on and then the speedo got stuck on 90 kmh and the tacho got stuk also and the the odometer disapeared and stayed like that even after the car was turned off and the speedo and tachco did not go down straight away but was down a cupple of hours later when i came back to the car but the hicas came back on when i started the car but it went away after being left for the night and drove it for a hour and nothing came up today .

I am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to have the seat foam re done as the cover is ok but the foam on the bottom part is not crash hot and looks a bit average. They are the red series 3 seats and look nice apart from the drivers side bottom part. I have got a price from nissan for a whole new bottom but it was well over $600 and i dont want to spend that kind of money. Cheers for any help Andrew.

The guards will fit a four door, as for needing them the GTR front bar wont line up exactly with your normal guards but it will still go on.

As for the inspection i think you are right about the id check and as for time i did mine as the first one for the day at 6 in the morning and i had to drive for an hour to get there.

I think it is just a 3rd party inspection and identification i hope for your sake it is farly standard. I had lowered springs on mine and they said nothing but so you can get away with a bit but that was my car not yours, but i dont think they look at much as it only took a couple of 10 minutes or less. all the best.

You will have to get a blue slip then your green slip and take that to the rta with all your import papers and lots of money, then they will stuff around for ages as they will not know what they are doing ( so make sure you have plenty of time and dont go in there at 5 to 5 or they wont do it for you). They will then tell you that you have to go and get it inspected at a rta inspection center and that takes up to a mounth to get in, but what you need to do is tell them that this is the only car you have use of at the moment and they have to give you a interim redgo till the inspection gets done. Now through all this you need to be really nice to all these people as if you are not they can be a real pain in the butt. That is all the stuff i had to go through. Cheers Andrew.

I have the same issue with my car and if it is alright i might make a time to swing past and and see you Chris and get you to do it for me when i will be up there on holidays in October. Do you need a special head unit to work this as a dvd or will any brand that has a dvd player work with this system. Cheers Andrew.

I think all seats fit all cars except the r34 gtt they have a different bolt pattern on the rails to the floor pan

make shore the stock intake pipe is not being sucked closed i have heard of this happening before.
