If ure running mass super hp it takes the strain off the turbo and prevents blackflow etc. But basically its just wank factor. First thing the trevs do to their skylines is showoff valve, rims and turbotimers basically cause they give that whole image thing, too bad thats all they are good for. rather spend my money elsewhere.

Chicane If its a honking sound when you back off the throttle it could be your blow off valve leaking, if u have 1 that is.

Ahhh, not sure, does it?? There is a little thing on the side of the block near the crank called the CAS (crank angle sensor) u shouldnt really mess with this unless u know what ure doing but basically u turn it one way or another to retard or advance the timing. Should have 3 bolts on it and a little bundle of wires coming out of it.

U could try cleaning out the throttle body with a can of carby cleaner. If its sticking this should sort it out. If ure sitting at the lights and revving its not under load so its not gonna ping.

Is this after sitting at a set of lights? most probably its heat from the engine getting into that silly crossoverpipe and making it all hot and thin (how i like my women but not my air). Its only just started because of summer right? A new intercooler will help but in the mean time i suggest u knock the timing back a little for safetys sake.

We are basically covering our asses as a public forum. If people ask for the name in PM thats not a problem. U can even say the suburb the shop is in but not the name. Basically the rule is "if u cant say something nice, dont say nothing at all" I know how i would feel in the same situation and have in the past but unfortunately its still not allowed. SAU does not want to be caught in between unhappy customers and businesses, dodgy or not. This kind of stuff can really affect small business. If there is a problem i suggest u take it up with the dept of consumer affairs, if u think it worth while.

So true, those things are too much fun. I know a guy that crashed his 6 times in 8 months and his parents fixed it each time. Apparently there was one incident where he decided he had right of way over the oncoming traffic just becasue his car was a silvia. So hes hanging out the window screaming "the silvia has right of way u stupid *****" the woman in the other car was just dumbstruck and let him through. Hes not a bad guy, just a moron.
