If you are travelling at 5am id me mildly concerned of not finding an open petrol station. Are you aware of the amount of traffic that uses great southern? Getting 98 octane the whole way down is not a problem. I drove through remote central Australia 5 years ago and could still find it most places and Esperance, as stated before, is hardly remote.

Yer i find this happens if you leave the car parked for a long time and it gets sun. The tyres get funny shaped. The only choice is replacing them. If its minor it goes away after a few 100ks on hot road.

Yer there are actually more of them in perth than anywhere ive been in japan by a long shot. And the Japanese only drive em on weekends and they are mostly gtr's. study by observation only.
