  1. hi ben the r33 has H1 bulbs in the low beam. because the r33 has seperate bulbs for low beam and high beam, the hid kit will only go in the low beams. you can get another h1 hid kit for your high beams but almost no one does this as you hardly would use high beam when you have hid in the low beams. only cars with h4 bulbs would need to get the hi/low beam hid kits otherwise they wont have high beam at all. i am currently running a group buy for hid's in another forum, as i dont have any left atm, and it is ending this friday. if you would like a H1 HID kit, let me know what colour you want e.g. 6000K and if you make payment by this firday you will be part of the group buy and i will send you the kit sometime next week when i receive them. the price is $340 delivered through this group buy. PM me if you want to be in along with your address. my account details are below: name: Bos Importing BSB: 062189 a/c: 10139185 Bank: Commonwealth Bank cheers
  2. hi Jim i have one h3 6000K left. i'll pm you for the details. cheers
  3. lol, sorry mate i think you meant $20 all up incl post? if so, i can pay via direct deposit, just pm me your bank details. cheers
  4. thanks for that. what is the total price you were after including post? cheers
  5. hi guys im after a stock r32 BOV, with hose if possible but not necessary. Please post your price including delivery to metro melbourne. cheers, Michael
  6. Hi Guys Theres only a few kits left from a previous group buy from people that didnt end up purchasing them, so first in first served. They were for a group buy for people that own cefiro's and the earlier model R32 Skylines whose low beam bulbs are the H3C type. These H3 HID kits will fit and focus perfectly to your H3C housings, as its only the rear connections that are actually different on H3 and H3C halogen bulbs. Those that own these cars know how bad their current light output is, so it is highly recommended to get one of these kits. The price is at the now reduced $350 delivered. These quality kits are made in Korea and are NOT the cheaper Chinese or Taiwanese HID kits available from other sellers on the net. There is a 1 year warranty on the kit. I have some photos and information on my website www.bosimporting.com.au which should clear up most of the questions you may have about HID. A quick link to the photos is found here: http://home.exetel.com.au/nismo/newhidpicsvid.htm cheers, Michael
  7. thanks for that, very helpful. i was told hills motorsport are pretty good but wasnt sure whether they do the f-con.
  8. anyone know any tuners in sydney that know how to tune the HKS F-CONV computer? its one of the earlier model computers, not sure if they made any other ones anyway?.? i was just thinking about going to unigroup engineering to run it on the dyno to make sure its running ok, not pinging on our fuel here etc, but not sure if they would know how to tune it if its necessary. if any1 knows any tuners for this computer, please post. thanks!
  9. is it H1? im about to get some more H1 6000K kits by the end of this week. if it is H1, you can fit it on, but if it has a capsule that the h1 bulb fits into rather than to be held by metal clips, the only way people have put HID kits on it is by glueing them on since you cannot fit a HID kit into the capsule since it has wiring coming out of the back of the bulb. the R32 GTRs that came with H3C low beam bulbs (usually the earlier model ones, but still check yours) are easy as they have metal clips that hold the bulb in, and the HID kit for these is the H3 kit, which i have also. let me know cheers
  10. if you are talking about r32/r33 gtst dump pipe and front pipes, then i sell them for $395 (mild steel) and $450 (stainless steel). much cheaper than any of the options above. these are the split wastegate systems, not the ones with a single large hole at the dump. it is a dump pipe and a front pipe in one piece, not 2 seperate parts which will require an extra gasket and a possible future exhaust leak at that point on the exhaust. the wastegate pipe on the split dump pipe (2 piece systems) is too short to be effective in reducing turbulence. you need at least 35-40cm seperation before they re-join.
  11. hi the website was made to reflect the prices i have on the forums, so thats why its the same. i will provide free shipping for the $440 cat for SAU members only. cheers
  12. hey i noticed this thread and regarding the power you get, on a r32 gtst the split dump & front pipe made a 16kw @ wheels difference over the stock dump & front pipe. with a 3" hi-flow catm you'll get even more. cheers, Michael
  13. hi birnie i dont have one with me right now, but that does sound about right. any of the 3 cats you can buy bolt on for the r33 are the same length flange to flange and angled correctly, its just the smaller one has 3" piping coming out of it, where as the large body doesnt get to have the 3" piping come out of the cat, but the flanges are welded right at the ends of the cat, where the 3" piping would have started. the bolt on cats i have for r33 are a direct fit from the standard cats, and ive never had a problem with fitment after selling many of them. the same bolt on cat will also fit r32 skyline and pulsar gtir and 180sx/s13 silvia. cheers
  14. Hi guys Theres only a few kits left from the previous group buy from people that didnt end up purchasing them, so first in first served. They were for a group buy for people that own cefiro's and the earlier model R32 Skylines whose low beam bulbs are a H3C type. The H3 HID kits will fit and focus perfectly to your H3C housings, as its only the rear connections that are actually different on H3 and H3C halogen bulbs. There is a small modification that needs to be done to the wiring in your housing, but most people that bought the kits for these cars were able to do it very quickly and without much fuss. Those that own these cars know how bad their current light output is, so it is highly recommended to get one of these kits. The price remains at $390 delivered. These quality kits are made in Korea and are NOT the cheaper Chinese or Taiwanese HID kits available from other sellers on the net. I have some photos and information on my website www.bosimporting.com.au which should clear up most of the questions you may have about HID. I have other HID kits available also, e.g H1, H4 hi/low, H7 & 9006, but these prices are for the H3 kits only, as they were part of the group buy. cheers, Michael
  15. i personally would never stock them, you can ask justjap how many returns they get... the worst cat in the market. the stainless steel will turn purple within the first few hours of driving (meaning the steel cant handle the heat since its really thin, and from this the biscuits will start moving because the steel flexes from the heat and then you get ratling etc...). the cat doesnt flow well at all due to the poor design and cheap biscuits inside. overall, its a cheap china made "cat" which doesnt have any EPA and/or CARBs emission approvals. xforce is all about a low price, but essentially theres no quality.
  16. we did some independant testing on 3 cats last week and here are the results. FLOW RATES IN CFM: 3" CATCO CAT (has 5" body, 200csi steel inside) = 706CFM 3" METAL CAT (has 4" body, 200csi steel inside)=629CFM 3" MAGIC CAT, we welded cone reducers and 3" piping (has 4" body, 300csi steel inisde)=540CFM The flow test on the 3.5" piping CATCO CAT showed a flow of 885CFM & for the 4" piping CATCO CAT it was 1015CFM! as you can see, the catco cat has the most flow and cannot be compared. one thing we didnt test was the CFM of a straight through 3" pipe, but from memory its about 1000CFM(??) cheers, Michael
  17. Hi guys, This 1992 R32 GTR is one of the first to be complied under the new RAWS scheme! It has a FULL 12 month rego. It's done a measly 74,875km. The car runs really well and has ALWAYS BEEN COMPLETELY STANDARD (even in Japan, down to the stock airbox) with the only "modifications" being aftermarket 16" Japanese lightweight wheels & a CD deck. You can easily tell this by the condition of the engine, as theres no paint chipping on the motor from high temperatures when the car is modified and also thrashed over a period of time. The paint on the body of the vehicle is in excellent condition throughout and the engine looks & runs like new. The colour is the RARE factory "Midnight Blue", which makes this GTR quite unique from the rest, as only a fraction of GTRs were sprayed this colour by Nissan. The interior is very clean with no cigarette burns or stains. It is a very well kept vehicle. This car has been regularly serviced in Japan and is a must see for someone in the market to buy an excellent example of a well kept and serviced R32 GTR. So, dont waste your time looking at other possibly dodgy &/or rusty clocked back GTRs imported under the now finished "over 15 year old scheme". Those GTRs haven't been examined for major accident damage, rust & overall reliability like cars which go through the new strict RAWS compliance centres. This car will definately NOT dissapoint! Its immaculate condition will make the first serious buyer who see's it, buy it! The price is $26,500 ono. My contact number is 0414 838 528. cheers, Michael
  18. BOOSTD, the 'metal cats' are good cats. we've tested those and they came up with good results on emissions, just like they clearly state. the difference between the metal cat and this new catco cat is the body. the metal cat is quite small, i think its the same body size as the magic cat (4"), whereas the catco one is larger (5") and can pass through more exhaust gas than those. both have 200 cell pr sq inch catalysts, whereas magic cat has 300 cell per sq inch. this just means that the metal cat and catco cat have larger holes, thus being able to let through more exhuast gas than the magic cat. either way though, the metal cat doesnt need cone reducers, as it already has them, like the catco cat, with 3" piping at the ends. the magic cat however needs all those extra bits (cone reducers, 3" piping) welded on, as its just a 4" pipe, this adds up, and because its not done by a machine, it would probably be quite rough in the end, depending on the skills of the person doing it for you at the exhaust shop... keep a look out in the next issues in different magazines (e.g fast fours, HPI etc), you will notice hi-tech mufflers, liverpool exhaust and a few other well known exhaust shops advertise the new catco cats. i know hi-tech have been doing some dyno tests on the WRX with some very interesting dyno results.
  19. thats because they arent, notice how he avoids it all along. also, the stamping he is talking about is for the body of the CAT (which is not what the discussion is on this thread), not the 'stamping' on the substrate itself. it seems as though he mentions his substrate is "300 cell per sq inch metallic substrate", whereas the catco is 200 cell. this means the catco cat's substrate is even better for flow! also he is saying that "Magic Performance is the only supplier of Metallic Substrate Catalytic Converters in Australia with inlet and outlet of four inches". ...that is obvisouly wrong too, as the catco cat can be cut to look just like the Magic cat, or should i say Magic 'pipe' if you want 4" inlet/outlet, as its made for up to 4" if you have piping that large...
  20. Hi KICKIN With regards to your 'fading' question, the quick and simple answer is no, they dont fade. Im not sure if there are any xenon bulbs that 'fade' actually. i think you have been mis-informed by someone that doesnt know much about HID technology, let alone the Kaixen brand! All xenon bulbs are ultimately made in the same way and have the certain gas mixtures inside the xenon bulb which when fused with electricity, it ignites and it causes light to emit. The bottom line with xenon bulbs is you either have the light emitted or you dont, theres no 'fading' over time. is the pic you are after something close to the attachment below? cheers
