From my simple understanding, it sounds like fixed spacers; that is, ones with studs fixed to them; are the way to go. I can see that if you fit spacers larger than 7mm, you put a stress on your STOCK studs because you essentially use 7mm less of the stud which, im no engineer, could potentially cause the wheel to get damaged/out of balance/break/fall off.... something along the lines. I think the reason why there could be confusion in the law, and I HAVEN'T seen the modification sheet made by QLD GOVT, is because, to make it safe they need to make it clear the easy way and say they are illegal. To me the fixed spacer idea, as long as they are of good quality, is great. To a certain size of fixed spacer, i can not see why using it would be bad at all, and of course as long as a mechanic/engineer sees it as safe. =)

Those speed bumps are alright. they are already angled for us HAHAHHAHAHA. but they are pretty big. The only problem i find is those asian drivers who dont think about how freaking small the road is there... im asian myself but im not that bad =P. yeh well im keen on the next one, ill bring my OLD SKOOL r32 along. post it up and make some time for us to plan for it.

For you Suspension Guru's out there. Just a simple question. What is the main difference in the Nismo suspension and the stock gtr suspension?? i drive my car daily, no track, will i see a difference if i switch to nismo suspension? is it worth it? thanks

Just looking at your photos, i didnt pass that part of market square. i drove to the centre on the complex with my white gtr. your 34's look hot. i would feel so out of place hahah. well next time, make it a bigger event and we'll try and fill up the whole Market Square in Skylines with sections of models!!! =) definately go to your next one, i only live down the road.

QLD police must of just purchased new office stationary and need to money to pay for it. OR one of you randomns in your Skyline picked up the Detective's daughter and gave her some super luving. they are the only reason i would call a massive defect hunt. =)

Did you get longer studs?

I might of had a similar problem to you a few months back. anyways heres the story Just did GTR Cruise 2 and coming home fanging it with the other gtr's (Obvioulsy to the speed limit). On the highway i shifted down to 3rd and boosted it, it felt like the car had dick all power and made it sound like it was struggling for air. Initially I thought the Bov's were seized, hence blowing air out on boost. anyway i "baby'ed" my car home. After a few hours stopping at my girls house, i drove it home, nothing was wrong then, so i let it go without another care in the world. A few weeks later i was boosting it hard in 2nd, to the h-way speed limit (hahaha), and poooooof!! car gets farked. anyways to save the rest of the story, my pipe to the INTAKE of the cooler had popped off. seriously. So at the end i think the loss in power was due to the failure of the worm clamp to the INTAKE side of the intercooler. I bought a new one and never had a problem again. So i think on the GTR Cruise is was loose and allowing air to bypass the cooler and hence loose power. You shouldnt need a pipe diagram for your car, its pretty straight forward once you take off the front bar. good luck, pm me if you still have the sh*ts.

I tried some "floaters/slip ons" awhile back and they werent very useful. I think im in preference for the Bolt on ones. They look safer as they have implanted studs and they would give you a more central location to the Hub. The floaters were not very central. And i cant be stuffed spending more $$$ when its really a cosmetic feature im chasing.

N15mo. im no engineer but from a mechanical view i dont think that spacers will do that to your steering. it would seem like something else in your steering line has worn or not in good condition. Of course as i said im no engineer.

Thanks for reading fellow QLD'ers Who has spacers? What size are they? Floaters or actual bolt in ones? What car is it on? What is the law in QLD? I want to buy spacers for my R32 GTR. Obviously they are pretty exy and i want to get the right size ones. Can anyone spare a weekend morning or arvo and let me try the spacer on my car? Im looking to buy the bolt on ones that are around 20mm-25mm. Ill buy you maccas on the way LOL.
