  1. go for it! my disclaimer covers my ass! Oh yeh he knew it was up-to-date, he just had nothing to get me on because my car is factory! and i think i must of out witted him somewhere in the 20mins of being held up. That right HELD UP, he was literally wasting my time. Spot on, virgin! maybe another 99 rego busts and he will be commend for a bravery award or something
  2. Ladies and Gents, It's been awhile since I had any activity here and to tell you the truth, I'm sorta missing the boost! anyways I was booked last night for having an old registration label on my windscreen whilst i am waiting for the new one in the mail. The cop who booked me was a young fella who probably just got out of the acadamy. Anyways, I have done my research and had some advice from QLD Transport and it turns out that I am well in the right. My rego expired 27/08/09 and today is the 11/09/09, therefore that is 15 days. The QLD legislation states that a registration label can be left on up to 21 days after the label expires. That is if you are waiting for yours in the mail to arrive, having the old label on will not render you as performing an infringement. anyways, im taking this up with the boys in blue later and will let you know how it goes. I know you guys like reading about things like this. If you want to read the legislation yourself: Part 3, Section 33, Paragraph 7. http://www.legislation.qld.gov.au/LEGISLTN...ntOpRUVRR99.pdf PS. I take no liability in providing advice in this matter.
  3. lol amen to the above. I know a dude that owns a new MX5 and is a barber! wap wap wap wap wap ftw.
  4. lol... we'll send them your way... but as soon as MRR34 flashes the cash, they gonna be heading back his way, leaving none for you. sorry.
  5. Har har @ the above post. Never would of thought sarcasm was your thing, i was leaning more to insanity. What ever race asian you are, I must be in the wrong one. I don't have money, I don't have power and most of the time I dont have intelligence... must of got on the wrong boat to asia. But hooroo to your credentials! The only thing I do are: - study smart; - spend irresponsibly; and - forget peoples names. har har I am nil sided to this racial agrument. <--- thats not sarcasm.
  6. dude... nice... um i want the ipod/iphone adaptor that integrates with the stereo. got that? =)
  7. No room for a rx-8 lol? I can do the whole suicide doors for you LOL! just kidding I know im way out of your required league. Good luck with your wedding.
  8. wtfbbq? You are the minority, you are a keyboard warrior, you are stupid. You claim "WE", the whole of Australia do not act like convicts anymore. I bet if you go to Wacol Correctional Centre your "WE" will change to "OH?". Then you say "NOT ALL ARE LIKE THAT", which dictates that your like to compare WHOLES and MINORITIES against each other... let me say it in laman terms just for your sake, you like to compare APPLES and ORANAGES. Let me just say, in algebra, adding apples to oranges doesn't usually work, nor does comparing WHOLES and MINORITIES. If supposibly I was making a threat, then you may go ahead and report it to the police and have me serve three years. Learn to read between the lines and comprehend the fact that is stated in front of you. In fact I don't think you have the IQ to argue any further, but I do think you have the IQ to settle down and reflect on what you have said as it is plain offensive to those who are or know people from the Maori background. I will not agree or disagree with your opinion, but saying things like that here does not provide you with any credentials. If you feel you must defend your opinion and you feel strongly about it, then I suggest two things: 1. 1800 55 1800 Kids Help Line - They do wonders! 2. Come to my work and say what you have typed in all of this topic to the Maori and see if they take it as lightly as you think. Asian chics rock man! They have all the guds!
  9. LOL @ your replies.... your supposed to wish me well. But yes there will be a time where I will consider the RB's again. Though when people say reliability of the RB's, I would agree but only to the extent of the engine itself, the remaining car itself can be questionable. Yes I am in an RX-8 and wait for it................................................ warrranty........................................... cheap insurance.................................... and lots of head turns for the possies out there. I will try and head out to events as the rx8 club seems a little "inactive" and the boostcrusing club are a bunch of "[insert imaginative word here]". Look out for me if and when I come back because it will NOT be in a 32 or 33, nor will I be in single turbo set up, as per usual. My departing quote is "With great power comes great brakes" - Superman with boost.
  10. To the SAU group of members, I would just like to say it has been a fantastic 3-4 years contributing to this excellent site. I have met and made friends with many on the site in and around Brisbane. SAU has got to be the most respectable and largest forum that I know, where there is a large wealth of information ready at your finger tips. It is time for me to depart from the forums for a little while, maybe a couple of years. I recently sold the R32, the second one I owned, and now have moved on into the rotary world. May you all enjoy your rides and keep developing this site more on top of what it already is. Peace and farewell, 00MFG (Arbess)
  11. lol @ the directly above comment. If you going to diss another culture, especially one that has a long heritage, at LEAST be able to spell their name right.... its Maori. I giggled at your comment and at the same time think about how people like yourself are no better. Let me bring you back to reality, I would like to quote you "most r here becoz of this one reason AND if there not, then there parents are here for that reason". I do not know what your heritage is, but if you ever listened in primary school here in Australia, this country was built from convicts. So by you saying the above quote, you have not yet defined the difference between the two countries. If you did not grow up in Australia, then you Sir shall have no say, except when you need to vote in a new Premier for QLD. Quite honestly that was a blatant comment made by you and for your sake I hope no Kiwi-Maori takes great offence to it or it may just be your last with the fingers you have today. btw I'm not Maori or Australian or Lebanese, but I am from the land when Mail-Order-Brides rule, hahaha, so I take no sides.
  12. Ok my car is back on the market, I am looking to have it taken by the end of the month. I suspect that the big end bearing(s) have been spun so it make a knocking noise. It is in its early stages of damage as it occurred not far from home, car is driveable. I am asking for around 9.5 or BEST offer, as I need this taken by the end of the month, urgently. My reason for selling is genuine as time and $$$ does not permit me to continue with it (uni). It has been a good vehicle up until this point and I really wish I could devote more resources into it. What this car has (which has been the same since I purchased it): - White 1989 October make, unverified 170,000km on the clock (35,000km driven by me); - Stock engine, standard boost; - Genuine HKS air filters; - Less than 10,000km old 5-puck extra heavy duty clutch; - Kakimoto full exhaust system from dump pipes; - Aftermarket light weight R32 GTR rear spoiler; - Recaro Driver seat (hole developed in kidney support); - Speedline 17 x 9 white light weight rims, wrapped in 245/45/R17; - Lowered springs on stock shocks. It does need some painting to the bonnet and front bumper, which would be less than $500 to do. Location is in Brisbane Southside. I will get pics as soon as I get new rego plates. Please contact me via SAU or mobile and I will be happy to answer any questions! Cheers. AB 0437 638 842
  13. vehicle is temporarily off the market. it seems as if the bottom end is ok.=)

  15. its like i need a funeral for it for the way I feel now... life goes on.
  16. R32 GT-R for sale It has come to an unfortunate event for my GT-R. From what I can gather it has suffered bottom end damage to the bearings. I have had this vehicle for nearly 3 years and has done well to this day. It is unfortunate I cannot spend any more cash or time on it as my life roads are taking me elsewhere. It is a very sad day for me, as if I have lost something really close to me. As I am aware of what a rebuild would cost I would ideally want to sell the car as it is for $12,500 ONO OBO. As I mentioned above, I no longer have the cash or time to continue with this car which I am willing to negotiate on the price. Pictures will come up later. 20. lol lol lol... Engineering is keeping me busy learning how to fix stuttering. MY BAD!
  21. have you considered a compression test on your engine? Electrical issues, such as coil packs, may occur else where around the engine along the wiring. If you have read any of my post you will see my frustration in trying to find my WRX issue. Good luck

  23. i love it when pictures are used to describe =D The vito i saw was a dark grey/maybe green and it was parked on warrigal rd adjacent the school, shooting towards the city. So i suppose for those who might have a little heavy foot coming down that hill and also a lazy foot going up the hill, beware! pretty much will get you over the top.
  24. Been awhile since I posted anything useful. Below are a couple of links that were made in Jan this year about the new Mercedes Vito mobile speed cameras QPS use. I went pass one today and wasn't sure if they took readings and pictures from the front or back, so i did a little googling to help me out. I found a link to an Aussie forum with some interesting info about how they operate. This one one is the info http://forum.roadsmart.com.au/lofiversion/index.php/t74.html and This one has photos http://forum.roadsmart.com.au/index.php?showtopic=75 Hope that sheds some light on the way we get radared. A.
