  1. Painted in white primer (two-pack). Holding onto it only until it sells...
  2. Have a drift wing (stealth wing) for sale. Dont have any pics as yet, but it is like the one from carmate. The wing is painted in primer, and ready for you to paint. It is brand new, and has never been fitted before. pickup in melb only, $240 ono EDIT: Located in SE suburbs PM if interested. George
  3. I did ask him, he wasn't sure. He has the equipment to test it, and he just follows instructions, and jots down the readings.... Just checking to see if anyone has had a similar report, as they might have known what it meant.
  4. I recently had some injectors cleaned and they were flow tested at 3 controlled pulse rates (I was expecting to get a static test done). The results were consistant accross all 6 injectors: at 250kPa (~36 psi) -------------------- 40 cc/min @ 2.5 ms 62 cc/min @ 10 ms 155 cc/min @ 1000 ms (how does that work out, as 1000ms = 1 sec??) ------------------------------------ at 350kPa (~50 psi) -------------------- 44 cc/min @ 2.5 ms 68 cc/min @ 10 ms 190 cc/min @ 1000 ms As injectors are rated at a static flow rate (100% duty cycle), is there any way I can convert those figures above into a static flow rate? The last test (@ each pressure) says 1000 m/sec which equals 1 sec. Does this mean it was a static flow test, or are these figures at 50% duty cycle, meaning 1sec on / 1 sec off??? Z
  5. Are the RB25 side feed injectors a direct replacement? Do they need collars, or anything else to get them to fit without leaks, etc??
  6. Sounds like spigot bush (I think it's also know as input bearing - correct me if wrong). I've been told that once it's worn, the input shaft can have too much play, and makes those sorts of noises (mine did it - not as much as that though - just before i last changed my clutch). I don't know if there will be any negative consequences from leaving it, but i do know how annoying it is. The bush itself costs less than $1 from memory, but takes a bit of effort to install.
  7. I'll take one for an R33 Can I get a cat converter (hi-flow, large volume) with that too?
  8. EDIT: Price Drop $200
  9. Item: DGTEC 2000A PLUS SET TOP BOX Location: MELBOURNE, Cheltenham Item Condition: EXCELLENT Reason for Selling: UPGRADED TO A PVR Price and Payment Conditions: $200 Extra Info: Comes with Remote, and instructions Contact Details: George, 0421 345 340 This is as new, had it for about 6 months or so. I had the 2000A before this, and that just caused me grief. The main visual difference is that this box has a VF display, which tells the time on standby, and displays chanel when on. This one has none of the problems associated with the 2000A, it works perfectly every time. It's a HD set top box (1920 x 1080i), with component/RGB/S-video/composite outputs. Reception is not too good in my area, but i get every chanel perfectly when i use good quality RF cables, almost never loose a frame. (When i had cheapo cables, the reception was no so great). Picture quality is excelent. The only thing I would say I dont like about it is that the remote has a bit of lag when you press a button, but almost every other set top box i have seen has this problem. - Displays both 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio's - Stereo / Digital 5.1 output (coax and optical) - output switching from front panel. Postage at buyers expense
  10. From the other thread here, I just noted last week that i covered them with araldite over 17 months ago, and not a single hickup yet. I wouldn't call that temporary. But not everyone's coils are simply cracked. There could be some other issue... It's worth the try, my $5 and 1hours effort has come a long way...
  11. The araldite i used on my coils (the cheapest one) 17 months ago before i even started this thread does not look any different, and the car hasn't misfired due to the cracks in the coils since.... it's not an issue
  12. Thought some of you may be interested: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/12/28/mi...ft_nissan_urge/ Rather than having an Xbox or PSX in your car to play games, when parked your car BECOMES the game console.... quite funny. Z
  13. yeah same prob, it's the sprung centre rattling. The noise only gets worse. I would take it back and tell then you have a faulty clutch plate, and ask for a new one.
  14. does it happen around the 4500 - 6000 rpm range? does it feel better from 6000 - redline? If so most likely it is b/c it runs so rich in that rev range to compensate for the increased airflow. Cheapest options are SAFC or the jaycar kit. I had this issue when i had similar mods at 10psi of boost. SAFC fixed it very nicely for me, also gained me 35rwkw (better A/F ratios made better use of my other mods). This is very common on the RB25DET.
  15. when you get to your hardware store, you will not be faced with that selection... Any of the epoxy's that bonds to plastic should do fine. Make sure it is a 2 part mix.

    Noise

hey mate I had a very similar issue, where it sounded like 100 ducks all got kicked in the balls at once. Once the car was started the noise stopped. Anyhow, it was my starter motor. The bearings on the main shaft (and i think the shaft itself) needed greasing. cheers
  17. Lately there have been many things that have made me more aggressive than usual, but I agree with some of you that I have been far too aggresive, especially considering this is a forum, so.... I apologise to all those I have offended. My ECU is standard, and i have a SAFC (I mentioned that a few posts back) I am not saying ethonal is good or bad, I'm just saying it gave me headaches.... thats it! I know that is used in other applications with great results, but these are applications designed or modified to be used with it. I in no way intend to modify my car to use ethanol blended fuel occasionally, so i have absolutely no use for it. I made all hese points clear in previous posts. I guess i did open up a can of worms in that sense.... Anyhow I had a quick look at that thread and can see others have had great results with it. I'm glad, not peed off. I might be cranky, but I'm not stubborn.
  18. thats a pretty stupid analogy. I never said ethanol was bad, i just said i had problems with it in my car... R33 RB25DET Going from leaded to unleaded is irrelevant to this discussion. What has LPG got to do with this either. I didn't say it was bad, read my posts before you put words in my mouth. Please don't contribute to this discussion with stupid comments, I can't be bothered replying to them (but I guess there is no other way on an internet forum)
  19. Possibly, but very unlikely. The fuel had just been released within that week, as the week before it was definately 98 optimax... And the chances of such a difference between 2 cars within 30 mins is extremely unlikely.
  20. if you read further up (and if u can't be stuffed i don't blame you) I also filled my other car (96 Accord) from the same pump within 30 mins of filling up my car. The Accord experienced no issues at all.
  21. But the whole point (or so the government claims) of Ethanol blends being sold at our pumps is to reduce cost of fuel to the consomer. If most cars need to re-tune their ECU, doesn't it become worthless b/c of the cost involved, or pointless b/c some ECU's cannot be re-tuned? I'm not discussing weather it is a better fuel or not, even if a manufacturer releases a vehicle that is designed to run on 100% ethanol. My point is running it in your car, in it's current state of tune, b/c when it comes down to it, the majority of consumers will want to do just that.
