  1. Now that we have the correct definition of Slander posted above, I have no issue posting what happened in my case as its true, not an untruthful statement. I have no doubt in my mine Gavin Wood knows more then his fair share when it comes to GTR’s and tuning how ever his poor customer service lack of interest and knowledge with engine conversion cars and his silly price’s makes one wounder. He had nothing but issue’s with trying to tune a 600hp RB converted car, charged a silly amount for a SAFC tune that he didn’t do due to a bad senor - You’d think you would charge for pointing out the problem, not charging to tune a car you didn’t and admitted to not tuning eh. From other peoples comments in person, on this site in the past and on other forums he appears to have no interest in pretty much nothing that’s not a GTR nowadays, yet he calls him self the “Skyline expert”..
  2. You can land and have them complied from $13k, or there about’s. As said above the market is flooded with R33’s. From what I’ve seen the current trend is towards R32 Gtst’s and GTR’s so you will have to compete with R32 gtst price’s to get all the d1 would be’s looking
  3. JUN style over fenders, or a pretty mean lip rolled out would be your best friend in this case
  4. My car is stock, game on
  5. Shame due to “Shannon’s policy” they refuse to insure my R32 for anything more then $16k when the phone operator agreed the value is $25k+, maybe I just got a jack ass on the phone, I duno. Either way I was happy with the insurance I had on my parents Porsche up until then. _8OO5TED_, maybe you can clarify about this said policy? I would like to know how the value system works. For an operator to agree to a higher value then all he can give me, it doesn’t really look to good.
  6. I had a half full beer bottle thrown at my hood while driving. Ever seen what a pretty heavy bottle can do to a GTR hood.. Messy. I’ve had a rear quarter kicked in at a shopping centre as well. Used to get quite a few bogan comments, one of the favourites on my current car is the way it sounds, always get dead shits mimicking the idle at servo’s. For those who have heard fcon equipped cars you’ll no doubt no what I mean with the weird idle they tend to get haha.
  7. Teh F40 can nevah lose
  8. 1) Generally Japanese cages don’t go through the parcel self. They bolt onto the rear wheel arches, as per the pic of my cage. 2) As you can see from the pic the rear bars bolt onto the wheel arch, thus having a rear seat wouldn’t fit unless the seat was re made to fit around the bars, and then you have the issues of getting around the diagonal brace if you wanted one. Why you would I’m not sure as its illegal to carry people in the back with a cage. Hope that helps *Edit* If your running quick times you’ll need an ANDRA approved cage anyway, so I guess the above is really not relevant as you would be getting a custom one made no doubt.
  9. This car won't get through regency the way it is. You would have to take most of the stuff off I'd guess? Pm me your email addy and I'll send some pics.
  10. Thanks for your reply’s lad's. R31Nismoid, I think if I went to a completely new turbo I'd just buy a HKS 3037 or something, I doubt second hand turbos are worth much, almost wouldn't be worth while selling mine. T04GTR, mine is the 25g exhaust housing. mokompri, I'm running an OS Giken flywheel and twin plate clutch so I guess the flywheel should be lighter enough? I'm going to look into cam price's I think, losing top end HP doesn't really faze me much these days, I guess I'm just after an extremely toey street car, with minimal lag with out having to change anything really major. If only we could have it all lol
  11. Typical non-ball bearing turbo eh. I had quote from GCG to convert it to ball bearing, worth the time and money in every ones opinion? Or is my money better spent elsewhere?
  12. My car is boring and has no life off boost. I was hoping maybe a different cam shaft selection or maybe trial and error on the dyno with some tuning would make it more lively in the low rpm range. I know I will never get that “kicking you back in the seat” feel a nicely set up GTR with aftermarket low mounts have off the mark, but a td06-25g really isn't that big of a single to make my car feel like a diesel Pajero until 3800rpm B)
  13. Better then?? a 300zx haha I think we all agree. Better then a VN commo? I duno.. VN's are pretty sweet
  14. Mystical dragon beats your wizard.
  15. kun fu choppa
  16. in?
  17. Can’t really remember 100% as my dyno sheet is in another country (long story don’t ask). Pretty sure it was very high 4000rpm, maybe early 5000rpm, either way it starts to sing at 3800rpm. I have my suspicions my turbo is a freak.. Some form of high flow jobby, not really sure.
  18. 490rwhp on around 1.5bar with advanced timing and jungle juice.
  19. You know me better then that Brett! All my cars are for sale!
  20. Hey guys and girls, just after some feed back/ideas on things I should look into with getting my rb25 on boost quicker and to make it a lot more power happy down low, current mods as follow below; Rb25det rebuilt with forgies, ported head, HKS 275 camshafts, top mounted trust Td06-25g turbo, trust 50mm waste-gate, trust front mount intercooler, trust Oil cooler, GReddy Type-R BOV plumbed backed, 850cc injectors, 3inch dump pipe, 3inch dump pipe back exhaust and an evil HKS F-con V ecu. I understand it will never be as exciting as it would if it were a smaller turbo, but I'm sure there is something to make it a little less boring until 3800rpm? I assume the tune would be a big factor? Would getting the f-con re tuned or even ditch it altogether help? Thanks.
  21. Did you gap your new plugs?
  22. 300zx < * You suck, please leave.
  23. No he hasn't, I work Monday to Sat. I have zero time to play with cars.
  24. R32 Gtst: Engine: Rb25det conversion (rebuilt, forgies), Flowed head/port polish, HKS 275 camshafts, HKS head gasket, Trust Td06-25g turbo, Trust top mount manifold, Trust 50mm waste-gate, Trust front mount intercooler, Trust Oil cooler and relocation filter kit, GReddy Type-R BOV plumbed backed, 850cc injectors, 3inch dump pipe, 3inch dump pipe back exhaust, custom cold air intake box in standard intercooler position, HKS filter, earth wire kit, huge radiator. HKS F-con V. Suspension And Running Gear: Rebuilt Rb25det gearbox, brand new twin plate OS clutch, Nismo locker diff, Tein adjustable coilovers, 17inch Nismo rims. Exterior: Genuine GTR front bar with N1 air slots, Type-M side skirts and rear pods. Blue pearl white respray, Semi clear factory indicators. Interior: Front and rear GTR seats, Skyline floor mats, custom dash cluster; Auto meter monster tacho, Pivot 350kph digital Speedo, GReddy exhaust temp gauge, GReddy oil temp gauge, GReddy oil presser gauge, Tomei boost gauge, Techtom display unit with shift light, short shifter with Razo gear knob, aircon/heater unit relocated to glove box with HKS F-con, HKS turbo timer and HKS boost controller. ICE: Jap brand head unit with separate equalizer and aftermarket speakers all round. 490rwhp @ 1.5bar and advanced the timing. Plenty more horse power left to be had if you ditch the F-con, or chase up a retune. The car has been built as a weekend slider, and street warrior. I don't have quarter mile times, nor never will due to lack of traction and interest in setting the car up for times. What the car has been BUILT for and gets USED for reflects its condition! People who want a show car need not ring this isn't the car for you. In saying that, the car is clean and only has minor marks and a few pin dents. The trim and inside is generally clean, the drivers seat has a small rip in it from my belt, dash is mint and has all aircon vents. Car is owned by a sales executive, and often sees daily duties, no over heating problems. Been through peak hour morning traffic in Brisbane more then once. I'm asking $23,500ono OR Swap/Trade The car owes a lot more but my loss is some one else's gain. I'm the first Australian owner, and got the car from a broker, genuine reason for sale; lack of interest and would rather the money for invesments and a more suitable car for work. *Note* Car is gutted, only has two seats, cage, door trims and dash. All trim come's with car, but you put it in. Price: $23,500ono OR Swap/Trade. Location: Noosa Heads, Queensland. Contact: Josh Phone: 0407 706 760 Email: [email protected] Don't PM as I won't check it, all general inquiries on cell # during work hours, unless other wise a very serious buyer. RWC and Rego negotiated pending price.
  25. VERY VERY interesting, I wish I had that when I sued Queensland Transport and had the officers in question taken to task, won anyway, but would have made it a lot easier. The powers to search a car will come in handy with my mobile phone court case soon, and how an officer searched my car for a phone he had a "hunch" was in there! Awesome find Jonny.
