475 I *think* Gary meant worth in the way of an aluminium plate being not that good, but still having a high price asked for them..... Told you polycarb was ftw
-
Hey Karl I got my letter today, have you got one yet?? If not you should very soon Picking them up tomorrow after work, just in time for Sunday
-
As they have all said as long as it's secure it would be fine. The only problem you could have is if it's a mushroom style pod as they can be overly noisy (for no reason), but that's down to the inspector plus you might not know what it sounds like until you get the car haha.... But if you think you're better off changing it you've got a few people here willing to help you out

That's what I was thinking but I'd hate to be waiting there tomorrow & get told I can't have them over a little thing like a piece of paper Yeah just a technicality but hopefully I get someone similar...laziness ftw!!!11! Sweet as, thanks for the replies!

Potential problem.... I've got some custom plates ready to be picked up that I ordered a couple of weeks ago, and it says in the letter to bring in the existing plates & current rego papers. Now I can't find my last registration papers... I thought it was still in my glove box where I usually keep it after paying it, but I can't find it in my car or anywhere else I would normally keep something like that. I got home literally 5mins too late to call the DPI & ask them if it's going to be a problem, but has anyone ever had any problems when they needed their papers & didn't have them? (like selling a car for example) I'd think that it would be easy for them to check up on their system when I go in to the licensing centre to see that the car is registered, & maybe with id that it's registered to me....but I'm just trying to find out now because if it's no problem because with work tomorrow I might not even have a chance to call them to find out! Can anyone help? Searching has given me nothing

Hey everyone Now the fine weather is returning it's well & truly time for a cruise Brian from Silvia WA has approached us regarding a combined cruise & we are just finalising the details for it now, but it will be run in just under 2 weeks time & it's likely to end somewhere for a bbq for those interested, which would be a good end to the day. Please note this is a members only cruise so will only be posted in this section. As a members only cruise, friends are welcome in your car but not in their own. Standard cruise rules will apply of course, but hope to a good members turnout for this Cheers! Nathan & teh sauwa committah

Doubt you would have a problem with that... I went with polycarb because it would look better with the kit I have, (going slimline on the front), but aluminium suits any skyline fine.

Plus an address of which street to turn off into the carpark could help if whereis doesn't work
-
Hopefully when it comes on over here he gets away this time.

Back with v2.... Same deal, leaving work tunnel-bound on the Farmer Fwy about an hour ago.... Not many cars on the road, & just after the exit to East Perth it becomes 2 lanes. Nothing behind me, in the left lane with 2 cars in front of me. These cars are going about 70, so naturally I decide to overtake them. Just as I checked the blind spot & I'd noticed a blue shirt running next to the wall separating directions on the freeway but on the other side, and thought it must have been a cop. Did the check, indicated & began moving over. At the point where I'm half in each lane I notice an olive-skinned man has jumped the barrier & already started running across the freeway. No-one was in the right lane so it made sense (in a weird sort of way ), but I was changing lanes so I'm met with a guy standing in the middle of the lane with his arms out hoping like f**k I wasn't going to mow him down. I was straight onto the brakes, slowed down to about 40/50 I imagine in a very short time & distance, and managed to get between him & the wall. Now if this cop was right behind him it would have been him being hit, but he was just jumping the wall at this time. In my rear view he kept chasing him & I seen a cop car had a car pulled over on the down ramp towards the tunnel, I'd guess it started from there but must have been a good chase, the cop was quite tall & strong looking but not a quick runner, plus the guy running was carrying a couple of things while he was being chased haha, a big & some sort of stick/piece of wood. Rarely a boring drive home for me these days

Looked but can't find it but I think the original thread has been taken down. I only remember the story vaguely but it went along the lines of: Dude in 32 gets to intercom of paid car park, said he paid for his ticket & put it in, but the gate won't go up. Searcher dude knows he has a history of doing this & tells him he's not able to (due to the time or something) 32 dude gets pissed off, opens gate by hand, damaging it & it won't go back down. 120 cars or so who may or may not have paid for their parking leave the car park through the broken boom gate. Just because he knows the thread author it doesn't make it ok. It's ok due to the thread having a legitimate purpose, to find someone who has caused property damage. It doesn't have to be a police matter & just leave it with them, because in all likelihood nothing will happen from it, and if it does it could take a fair bit of time. Now posting it on SAU, when it is in regards to that type of car, could find the driver a whole lot quicker. Fair enough if anyone knows them & doesn't want to dob them in as that's a personal choice. I'm almost completely certain that this issue won't affect your life in any regard so no need to get worked up about it.

Do you really need one that urgently?? If you can't find what you're looking for in Perth you could just order one from an Australian store & get it posted express, would only take a few days.
-
Might come by for a look-see if I'm not too tired...got work the next morning though
-
There is a manufacturer called East Bear, maybe the south pole part means like a polar bear
-
To be fair while it was ok I seen pretty much the same thing posted on here a couple of years ago that was better written than that, but it was an oil leak on a GTR instead

Mine comes on at some magical minute mark of driving (between 10-15mins I suppose), but never feel any difference in anything..... It never does it from start up though
