  1. Is that because the Z32 will be supplying a lower signal to the ECU for a similar amount of airflow that would be measured by the standard meter?
  2. Thanks guys, guess I will need to search through my wheeties packets for my grannies licence though... hehehe
  3. Thanks Red Drifter. I did some more inspection and reading of the manual over the weekend, and found that practically all Nissan cars have the same Air Flow Type dip switch settings, which must correlate to MAF. http://www.apexi-usa.com/productdocumentat...cs_afc_gen1.pdf refer to page 6 Then on further inspection of my unit, I found that it's dip switches were all set as per the Nissan spec (Same for the Z32 and S14a) and the car type was set to the Z32 car... when most likely it came from an SR20 powered machine (I'm guessing here...) This leaves me with the conundrum as to what car type I should use...
  4. Hey, Would anyone know a good set of initial settings for connecting up a Z32 MAF with an S14a SR20DET using the 5 dial Super AFC (Gen 1) prior to a limp down to the dyno for a proper tune? Also, my assumption from the manual, is that I set up the Air Flow Type as the Fairlady Z32 with the Car Type as Sylvia S14. If anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated
  5. Hey Gizmo, Thanks for this info, really helpful
  6. Hey Gizmo, Do you know if there is any difference between the green and the yellow one? The yellow one looks like a big sponge, with what seems to be a good capacity airflow through the matrix of fibres, quite a bit different from my panel K&N with it's cotton insert.
  7. Hi, Does anyone know the correct procedure for cleaning an HKS pod filter, the yellow one that looks like a big mushroom? I have cleaned it out using the solvent part of the K&N kit, but I am wondering if it requires an oiling??? I don't think it does but if anyone knows please let me know. Thanks in advance. Sam.
  8. Nice piccies! They came out sweet
  9. Talk to Simon, he is da man 03 9761 1522. And the address is 6/46 Barry Street Bayswater. Cruzed last Friday, and was lotsa fun :-)
  10. I don't know much about AVO. I looked at them when shopping, however the bang for buck stacked up well with the boys from Bayswater + they sure know their way around a Nissan
  11. King hate that when they got that frigging spray sealer
  12. Mmm, that air will be getting hot, especially at 20psi. Nizpro in Bayswater did a great job on mine (custom fit). But one thing to think of is how much room there is under the front bumper. Don't want it close to the radiator, cos it will heat the air instead.
  13. R U planning to increase boost?
  14. I guess he had some stickers to show or something?
  15. Yep its a mirage... and like a rice boy car couldn't hack it as something must have broken during chicken twisties after Arthur's seat, cos it caused a real traffic jam!
  16. This one's in SA, and has lots of interesting performance parts, many used. http://www.japanesemotorsport.com.au/
  17. Bloody unbelievable! ...the driver probably just turned the radio up!
  18. I got a nice 3"" turbo back mandrel bent system with Hi-Flow cat and muffler with a twin 2 1/2"" anti cop-bait outlet for $1400 fitted by Nizpro in Vic. They may be able to freight one up to you for less? It has a nice deep growl, great power and I have lotsa fun setting off alarms in car parks he he
  19. For the streeter, i've found Falken Azenis to be real grippy. Nice soft compund moulded into a street legal tyre - and right on the money.
