  1. Di says "YES PLEASE" and offers you a drive to or from Schutzenfest 2010 (but not in the skyline if its after the show) Have you read the books Andrew? We have 9. (the sex gets better as it goes along)
  2. Have you got season 2 on DVD? I havent found it yet. Have you read the books andrew?
  3. Another vamp fan? We purchased season 1 on the weekend and started watching it. Have you read the books yet? there could easily be 10 seasons at this rate.
  4. There are so many more, but probably pushing the envelope for a public forum. (well perhaps 1 - the Chaser would run it LOL)
  5. amazing how quickly the level of conversation drops on here LOL
  6. You obviously havent seen my mother in-law but any discount you can give me on the 2 sisters would be great LOL
  7. tight arses, I was told i would have to pay extra for them I thought the 2 for 1 was a winner for sure (except for the mother daughter combination)
  8. so the 2 for 1 tuesdays at the "house of pleasure" still dont pay as much as your weekend regulars? I thought for sure that was a great idea. LOL
  9. LOL Yes Cara, but real NA motors aren't 2.5L 4 or more litres of NA power and then you have a performance engine, otherwise you really do need the turbo or supercharger.
  10. I had a chat with the inspector Newitt (or Nisbit ?) heading taskforce diagonal tonight, and he believes that the crushing legislation is going to be passed soon. He also said that crushing will only be used for repeat offenders of serious HOON behaviour rather than just a one off events. (Not sure that that is enough reassurance for me though) The impression I got was that they are actively targeting individuals that engage in stupid behaviour rather than clubs and associations. That being said he indicated there will be little tolerance given by any police officer for people caught endangering themselves or others on the roads.
  11. If you wernt refering to deaths and injuries on the streets, what did you mean to imply when you said "the devastating consequences have gotten more horrific. ....... When it goes wrong, it goes wrong horrifically more so than previous years." ? I assumed you weren’t referring to scratches in the paintwork. Surely it’s the advances such as disk brakes, air bags, and crumple zones that have reduced the injuries and fatalities when an accident occurs. It’s the improved power to weight ratios of modern cars that allow inexperienced drivers to get into trouble quicker, but this is also offset to some extent by the improved safety features and better suspension of modern cars. To date there is no statistical evidence that hoon behaviour is any worse or more frequent than it was with/for previous generations. Have a chat with your olds or grandparents generations and see what some of them got up to. I am certainly unaware of anyone hoons today lobbing sticks of dynamite out of car windows, yet Gelignite Jack was famous for this stunt on the old Redex trials.
  12. Here are some stats pulled from the ABS website, deaths by Motor Vehicle Accident in 2007 account for 1% of the total Deaths in Australia. What would be more interesting would be to see the spending on Roads/Safety Campaigns compared to Hospital Funding and Disease Research.
  13. Not sure what world you live in, but in mine the stats dont back this up. Last year had the LOWEST recorded death toll ever recorded in SA, and although they are not widly published the casualty rates fron MVA's has also fallen considerably. This is a politically driven beast, so it is designed to help Mikes popularity and chances at another term in office rather than addressing a serious social issue.
  14. I dont believe you need to have it on, but be warry of the dust and dirt getting in and reducing the life of your belt.
  15. I have series I and would like series II tail lights for an R33 sedan if anyone else reads this thread.
  16. Yes the do look at the forums (from time to time) but do you really think they will now ring regency to advise them that if someone called Panda200 (peter) drops in with a defected car at some time (don’t know when) then have a check for these additional items??? Regency is not attached to SAPOL, and it’s no skin of SAPOLS nose if they miss something. At the end of the day it was all about an officer meeting his quota of TINs. Regency are responsible for finding any additional items and it is up to them if they add it to the list (occasionally they are lenient - very occasionally) No, the first thing they check for is a visual on ground clearance.
  17. Sorry to disapoint, but backpressure is never your friend - this logic is so 1930's I agree that a large system may cause you car to run poorly down low, but this is a tuning issue rateher than a volumetric issue. On an NA, the science is to get all of the harmoniocs of the exhaust right. When correct and you can scavenge extra exhaust gasses out (due to a low pressure region forming at in the exhaust near the open valve) and hence draw in more clean air/fuel mix. (mor clean mix in means more bang) It was this technology that made Yamaha so succesful with their bikes after WW2. This was the result of a merger between a german motorbike firm (that shot through after the war) and Yamaha (who specialised in musical instruments and hence harmonics.) They succesfully cracked the technology. This is also where terms like "tuned length headers" comes from. For another example, consider drag cars, they have large, short exhausts to minimise back pressure. Whist I agree they run much of the time at close to full throttle, they still cant afford to have a sluggish bottom end as the race is over too quickly for any part of the engine not to pull its own weight (if you will excuse the punn) So, to answer your original question, the cannon is only for asthetics, so it wont matter what you put on so long as it wont restrict the rest of the system. I would go for a nice 3" (again asthetics) but you may want to have them tack it first so you can give it a short drive and see if you like the sound (differens 3" cannons will sound different and be quieter or louder depending upon the internals,) so just because 1 is too loud, wont neceseraly mean they all will be.
  18. why would you buy your own wreck back ??????? (its already his) As I said earlier in my PM to you, its comments like these and the "why dont you have insurance" that have driven many of the original SAU members off the forums. HINT - use you brains before you type. LOL
