  1. Prestige is offering the entire kit fitted for 2400
  2. Resurrecting an old thread here but - any other good places to check if you want to import directly? I notice that motorworld have 1 price for retail customers and another for dealers - so in the end you may not save to much money when compared to going through j-spec and prestige...? And if the retail price is that much more expensive - why bother doing all the paper work yourself!?
  3. I have imported 3 cars from prestige - My dad 1, My Oldest Bro - 1 and my youngest 1, - We should get a family discount!! He is a nice bloke to deal with, and really the condition of the car is not up to him - he just handles the paper work - the risk is always on the buyers shoulders... So far the estimates have been fine on his part - it has been the compliance and the repairs due to shipping etc that have bloated prices. And one time I also had a car stuck in customs in SA and that cost me huge $$ based on A/C as well - was mostly the Jap suppliers fault so he paid 70% of the cost... but still the remaining 30% was painful!!
  4. Hmmm Got my Metallic Red R33 GTS-T through them over a year and a half ago - There was a dent on the rear left panel just below the wing. Cost me $600 to repair - and being a red car with some minor paint fade - the repair matched the top of the cars colour but not the bumper so now I have a slighlty silver pink look in that area next to a solid red bumper - looks crap... Also the side mirrors looked like they had been swapped with a very crapped out car - paint worn off completely - not matching the fade of my car at all... got these re-sprayed as well... I did not bother with chasing Kiwi up at all as I thought it would be to hard to prove when the damage had occured - to many people handle your car between buying it and receiving it... (Trucking, warfies, shipping, warfies, trucking, compliance, trucking) So I just paid the bills and left it at that Might go with the alternative shippers this time though after reading this... as I thought it was just a bit of bad luck... My next car will be my 5th import...
  5. Ok - I also was under the impression that J-Spec and Prestige get a lot of their cars from JAD - so thought I might cut out the middle man and save some $$. That being said though - their list price on cars equals or is sometimes greater than that of J-spec and prestige (??) so cutting out the middle man does not seem to gain much... ?? Maybe They have an agreement with these companies to keep the prices higher on their website than what the cars are actually supplied for to various partners. Either way it may only be worth while using them for Auctions - but that will cost you $100,000 YEN anyway - but will save you the $1100 service fee of J-spec and prestige. But then keep in mind all the Australian contacts and paperwork handling that Prestige etc have and make sure that you really think / know you could handle that side of things yourself. May just be easier to stick with an Oz based importer. Either way - please PM me with feed back on JAD as well - good or Bad as I am hunting a V35 Skyline 350GT-8 2003 model and know they can be had far cheaper than the typical list prices... "Kleenbeats" black one is a perfect example - lucky bugger!
  6. j-spec and prestige both offered the car back in June I think - Prestige's pictures from the Auction looked crap so I ignored it - plus back then I was not really looking at one of these seriously... j-spec listed it for $22,400 + tyres - Prestige $23,300 + tyres. Strange because there is a red 2002 model going at the moment but in that case Prestige is offering it for a $1000 less this time... to bad I don't like red and am now more partial to the 2003 model. And that the red one is going for about $4000 to 5000 more
  7. Anyidea if the front bar will fit on a V35 4 door? I am looking at importing one and love that kit - do you have side skirts as well by chance? Actually ignore that even if you did the coupe skirts would not fit on a 4 door... If it fits a 4 door - and I am forced to buy a 2002 model instead of a 2003 then I might be very interested!
  8. Hello all, I am glad I found this thread before buying... I was about to buy a 2002 V35 GT8 in silver but they are ugly as hell! I so prefer the clean smooth boot on the 2003 with the large SKYLINE written across the back. Instead of that stupid week looking square thing on the 2002 models - ugh! yours http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=60737 I also prefer the clear side indicator lights on the front fenders!! I did not think they made the 8 speed after 2002, so the 2003 model with 8 CVT must be pretty damn rare and to score it at 25G is amazing!! especially in that condition!! I have only seen 1 cheaper and that is a stock (apart from a momo wood grain wheel) 2002 Silver with sun roof for $22,500 + Tyres. Was going to put the WALD side skirts and boot lip on it and paint the cheep two tone dark grey front and back to be body colour instead of bothering with the rest of the kit - the WALD kit is pretty damn boring - would rather the Giallo one that you guys hate! That being said - Kleenbeats you interested in selling your Black 2003 V35 yet? I will pay cost price + a grand - not bad for 6 months down the track!
  9. I forgot about this listing. Reason for selling is we have to many cars - and I need to free up cash to move house - family is expanding - I now have 2 kids! Any offers around $13,550 will be considered [email protected]
  10. 20x17x17 is rather wide the Original Yuasa type (YT-LB20L Super Sealed 12V 28AH 10.5kg) in mine is (in mm) 197x120x192 (LxWxH) If you go wider then the normal side clamps wont fit in their holes... I have the GTS-T HR33 Problem is the only place that sells these Yuasa are in Japan local Yuasa dealers don't sell car versions... just SLA versions. Mine also seems to no longer hold charge though after being garaged for a long time...
  11. Price crash to sell faster $13,550 ONO will be accepted, first to see will buy!
