  1. oh and yes that was for one Auction site only - Ben knows and uses a few others but this is the only one I know of that gives good internert access for anyone. The Cars on that site go up for sale every Thursday.
  2. huh - picky a Sun roof is more rare than a nismo rear spoiler! and almost as rare as leather in a manual with Premium options! I was after the blue or black with a rear spoiler and in manual initially but could not resist the blue Premium I bought due to the low Km and it's practically brand new condition. Then shortly after Ben found me a manual Silver one with front lip, Nismo rear spoiler. low km and a Nismo Steering wheel with aftermarket TV/Nav etc with the 18" wheels and brembo's so I thought bugger it! I will get them both and sell one - keep which ever sells slower or which ever I like more. Or maybe sell both and buy a nice black one! or a 2005 Blue one just for the updated grey blue colour... Ben from J-spec said the new blue is very classy. Only problem is that at the moment if I sell both I will be waiting a long time to buy a black one due to the crap exchange rate! Plus with 2 kids I probably should be looking at the 4 door ones - that said they fit fine in the coupe!
  3. Mine sounds like a mini V8 when you give it a bit of a push... (Vrdrdrdrdrdrd) not sure if that is what you mean... my old FTO used to make a nice noise when I fitted a K&N pod filter... But neither make anything like a turbo sound...
  4. My baby - now has Personal plates "GTV-350" Blue with white text.
  5. no way keep the badges - the boot is to boring without them - maybe with a nice lip spoiler it would be ok but otherwise... I would not have taken off the SKYLINE if you are keeping the NISSAN badge - I think all badges or none at all (with a spoiler) are the only options...
  6. I used J-spec for my 2 V35's - Ben is great to deal with and you get lots of photos. Ben is currently working from Japan which always helps. Also Helps to keep an eye on the Auctions: https://bzl.cis6200.jp/e/p5_search_result_p...;cc=&hyoka= Log in "T77043" may need to log in then re-click on the above link. also check this: http://www.cyber-mag.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=944 for all the information you need to calculate costs etc. BTW I bought my car at 103Yen but by the time it got on the ship the Yen was down to 94 and they actually calculate the import duty on what the Yen is when your car gets on the boat!!! So things that suck with exchange: Yen V's Ozzie dollar when you buy Yen V's Ozzie dollar when your car gets on the boat (Import duties) USD V's Ozzie dollar when you pay for the shipping as this is calculated in USD! I would think that it may be cheaper now to buy a car already in Oz than it is to import with the current exchange rates! Example using this calculator: http://www.cyber-mag.com/importcost.htm (banks take an extra 1.5Yen off of the listed exchange rates) 1,430,000 Yen car at 100 Yen = $14,300 buy and $24,100 Landed and registered average personal import cost 1 to 3 months ago! 1,430,000 Yen car at 66.5 Yen = $21,500 buy and $33,100 Landed and registered average personal import cost at current exchange rates!
  7. Ok wow - Business or private insurance? My V35 Premium with 100% stock everything with a value placed against it of only $30,000 is going to cost me $1034 Internet deal or $1084 phone deal, My suburb must suck compared to yours!!! $400 excess $900 theft excess... No free windscreen offer though! I am 33 going on 34 with rating 1. Shannons after 11 years of Insurance refuse to insure this car for me as I do not have a lock up garage As mentioned Just Cars requires an Australian standard Immobilser - My V35 Premium has a little sticker on the drivers side window / triangle showing a key through an engine with "SECURITY" written under it. Question 1: does this equal an immobilser? (definitely not an alarm) Question 2: Does this comply to insurance requirements for Oz standard? Does anyone know if just cars gets cheaper with 2 or more cars insured on the one contract? Shannons did!
  8. Just add another question - Does the sun visor on the non-premium ones have a light when you look at the vanity mirrors? or is this a premium or dealer option only? My observations tend to go with what has already been said: Premium = BOSE + wheel controls + Dual Zone. BTW that MOMO wheel that Ben from J-spec posted - I think that is mine from my Silver V35 Manual... Hey Ben you did not send me the shots with your legs in it when you sent me the inspection pics! I feel ripped off now!
  9. My V35 Premium has a little sticker on the drivers side window / triangle showing a key through an engine with "SECURITY" written under it. I also got a spare 3rd key that has no remote opening buttons and is a redish colour - not sure what thios key is for? I am assuming my car has an immobiliser but no Alarm? I have the RED LED on the dash that flashes when the car is locked and unlocked - but I just sat in the car and locked it with the remote and jumped about - no alarm - then opened the door - no alarm then locked the car with the remote and opened the door with the key... no alarm... Insurance requires an Australian standard Imob - does anyone know if the stock one is up to spec?
  10. Hey just noticed you guys drove down past the wait institute / Urrbrae! I could have ducked out and joined you all for that part of the cruise - just live up the road!
  11. I have a guy who wants the car but is a week to 2 weeks off with the finance, he is offering $15,500 to $16G's depending on what the bank offers him - so if anyone else can come in that range in the next few days or a week the car is yours! My V35 is here now! - AWESOME DRIVE! SO MUCH POWER!!! DROOOOOL
  12. Thanks guys. BTW - new photos are up showing the stock wheels: http://www.cyber-mag.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=6372#6372
  13. Sounds promising - although surprisingly - or not surprisingly (as this car caught my eye as well so it can't be all that bad! even if it is a wagon! ) I have already had 1 query from Carsales - and my add has only been live for a few hours now! So it may sell quickly. I hope so as I need the driveway space - the neighbours are already complaining (my wife has a car to get rid of as well) and they don't even know about the V35 yet!
  14. Just to clarify once more - the gold mags are not available for sale with this car.
  15. Ok - My V35 is about to arrive - around a week to get it back from compliance in QLD - so I need the driveway space. Please make an offer if you are interested.
  16. will be listing the car with carsales and in the paper soon so last chance for forum members to get first dibs.

  18. hahaha - small world! Yes that was me - and yes I saw you both times! 1st was near my house end of Fullurton RD and the second was near the shell end.
  19. No I have had her for around 12 months now! Yeah as to the Matt thing - I think it is a novelty that looks ok now because it is different. But after a while - well it is matt - it is never going to look as good as a high gloss paint job! Possibly easier to touch up paint though?
  20. Decided that whilst my kit is awesome (I think so anyway) it is not practical for a family car (I have 2 kids) and I was not expecting the car to be so low when I bought it (even when I adjust the TEIN suspension to full height... and added spacers...). I used to own a FTO GPX that was fully lowered and eventually you get sick of driving up driveways at 45 degrees to avoid scraping your kit. And with side skirts never quite knowing if a speed hump is going to be to high... I am getting to old for that sort of stress! Love the car though. I Drove my wife's 2003 Vectra CDXi over the last few days (I just bought it for her) - which is the top of the range vectra for that year, and I must say - when I got back into my stagea - I so liked it more! The only thing the Vectra won out with was it has heated seats! Either way - as mentioned I have a couple of V35 skylines landing soon - and although they are not entirely what my wife had in mind for a family car (as in they are coupes) and not entirely practical.... they are at least 100% stock so have none of the clearance issues, and as I mostly just drive to and from work... there really is no need for me to be lugging an almost 1.7 tonne car back and forwards... Must say though I have seen a few of these V35 in the flesh since I commited to importing mine - and I am not 100% impressed - stubby chunky things... in real life... Not sure which I will keep, if either - may just let fate decide - put them both up for sale and keep which ever does not sell first (the wife thinks I am planning to sell both! kind of why I bought her the vectra (to shut her up)). That said I am pineing for another black car so may end up selling them both and going for something in black (bitch to keep clean but they looks so sweet when they have had a shine!). Anyway enough dribble - Did you guys see that Matt black R34 facelifted Stagea at the AutoSalon?? F'n awesome! Did you invite the owner to the cruise?
