  1. yeah doxx its me. so you finally got the turbo! awesome! hows the car run now?...
  2. if the tyre gets punctured that's not good not only for urself but can be for others... bikes rev higher (13K rpm) - engines are more exposed - less mufflers - safety wise too it's good to be loud (but not too loud!) to let others know... cops don't only defect imports - they DO defect unroadworthy cars - well the good cops do - and dont get me wrong - they are at a higher risk than us import boys... (and girls) - cant you dob in people with smoke out their exhaust?? the laws can be quite a-n-a-l but that's the way it is. if you don't agree with them or cant face the consequences if you get caught then dont get an import - get a commonwhore.
  3. joined here early 2002. found the nz site researching my skyline just before i purchased it 3.5 yrs ago. went for 1 cruise with a few people - funkymonkey, doxximus, meggala, lux, a cool vintage 300zx i think it was, and a few other ppl in the city somewhere near flemington. then went to maccas hahaha that was cool. shan how u doin? still keep in touch with chuck? been pretty quiet on the forum front in the uk right now. coming back soon though next month. can't drive the line as it's not registered. spewin. probably won't get to drive for another year if it things work out over here i hope my car still starts!
  4. big rims might rub against the arches if done incorrectly. being too low might scrape over a hump and rupture an exhaust or worse, etc.. exhaust noise - well noise pollution. just because the harleys do it doesn't mean it's legal. boost controller i dunno. maybe the ones you can change from the inside are not such a good idea. i mean if your friend is looking at the controller and presses a button and it increases the boost or something that could be dangerous. granted they cant police everything (eg. making sure no loose objects exist in the car) - they can minimise the risk. unfortunately they have to consider the lowest common denominator and factor them into it as well. i mean - how many cars have you seen are driven by the younger gen are actually roadworthy. one only has to see chapel st to see the epa and other defecting cars. i guess it hurts the people that mod cars responsibly but that's the price we pay for some lunatics out there...
  5. 2 questions... 1) What is the shelf life of toulene? ie) if I get 200L from shell or bp can I use 10L a week with every tank for 20 weeks - will the last 10L be just as good as the 1st 10L batch? 2) Do you have to shake it vigorously with petrol before hand to properly mix it? or can you just add it straight then add the petrol and will driving and cornering mix it up enough? sorry for the questions - didn't do chem in school!
  6. you're gonna have to spend heaps to make a gts r33 run 10's. even gtr's have trouble doing that. if you want a 10 sec car buy a holden vl 3lt turbo and mod that. you can buy a 9 sec vl for about 15K.
  7. i do about 400-420 before the low fuel light comes on. mines a 2.5L n/a auto. It's got extractors and i use synthetic oil 5w-50.
  8. try looking for the black pouch on the left hand side behind the carpet backing - near the antenna. Undo the few plastic clips and the carpet cover should come off. You should see a metal holding bracket for the pouch. Id take a pic but im a lazy bastard.
  9. 3 yr warranty against peeling??? so it's stuck on - can't you buy the ones coated in whatever finish you want? (is it call Modicoat or something) - buy a hot4's mag - theres a few ppl doing the resurfacing. i wouldn't bother with the stuck on stuff. Sure the coating will cost more - but as least itll look original - and hair and dust won't stick to the carbon-fibre
  10. i emailed steve the guy with the rb30de - and the conversion is apparently "quite simple"
  11. meggala - i was under the impression us rb25de boys wont need the oil feed as we already have it?? or is it that the rb30 block does not have the line where as the rb25 block does? i gotta pm rb30-zed and ask him more...engine management looks tricky too. he's using a delco ecu (from holdens, etc...) don't know how this would affect abs/4wd/auto ect... sounds interesting.
  12. as an example of a membership application/type I found the maserati one on the net... http://www.maserati.org.au/download/pdf-fi...hip/Mem2002.pdf this looks pretty good. Im sure we can have a similar one... underage ppl get classified as a "non-voting" member. Sounds good to me. I don't want voting rights for underage ppl for the same reason as why underage ppl can't go to the polls during election time. Im all for them as a "non-voting" member though!! oh - and I believe you don't [b:8e377ffbd5]*HAVE* [/b:8e377ffbd5] to own a skyline to be a member of the club. I mean - who would join a club if they didn't have an interest in it? I'd get pretty pissed if I wanted to join the "snowboarding club" at uni but wasn't allowed b/c I didn't own a snowboard. I think having the [b:8e377ffbd5]interest[/b:8e377ffbd5] and [b:8e377ffbd5]$$[/b:8e377ffbd5] is all you need to join a club (and being overage for voting "member").
  13. that web site is mad.... dunno about the babe of the month section....i mean the site isn't ralph.com.au and why does it say south australia? shouldn't it be Australia? :?
  14. I don't know if it's just me or are the images ppl put in their signature ANNOYING? Im not having a go at ppl with 2048x1024 images of their car in their signatures but it's really hard to read the forum. Not to mention the extra scrolling, processing on old cpu's for image layout, difficulty to focus on text, etc... I mean isn't the avatar picture enough? The NZ forums are definetly easier to read (in that they don't have images in signatures).... I don't mind the bright background.... What are other ppl's thoughts on this - is it a feature the moderators can turn off? Can I turn it off on my side?
