  1. Im with HBF miles cheaper in every aspect! Havent claimed yet and hopefully will never.
  2. Buy jap Rims! Some guys on nissan silvia forums import alot of new and used rims from japan almost all are 5 stud. There are some VERY nice rims there to be purchased! Or if you know someone get someone in Japan to get them off yahoo auctions
  3. Most times it will boil to you pay for what you get. Buying a China set of golf clubs is no match for the original. Its much cheaper and it may look the same but inside theres a vast difference. For something as cheap as a oil filter why would you bother. On a POS car go for it. on a skyline your mad, keep telling yourself how many 7 dollar filters it costs to replace your engine and its likely not worth it even if it lasts for a couple of years. Its been said above no need to go over it again. If you really want to save a buck switch from ultimate to premium unleaded and dont thrash your car. It will likely do less damage and you save about 5 bucks a tank.
  4. Firstly multinovas are dangerous. I spend all my time driving looking for them.. even when im not speeding its just habid. This means im paying less attention to the road... and more attention to the side of the road. I had a Radar detector.. My car was broken into and everything was stolen im fairly sure because they could see where the suction cup marks on the windscreen.. Down goes about 2-3k of gear. I just live with the fact the government is not so interested in road safety but is more dependant on the bottom line and the amount of funding the government can raise. Banning radar detectors is just the next step.
  5. As said above you can put grommets in. Also the gaffa tape option is popular and cheap cheap. Lastly get it done proper at a panel beaters your looking at 100 - 400 to get it blocked up and sprayed.
  6. You will negate your no claim bonus for $100 dollar scratch Enjoy paying a extra 800 bucks a year premium and paying 400 plus for the claim... Only claim when its really worth it. insurance is a bitch
  7. I have been to Warwick pits. Inspector was really cool. Got my permits and all, nice guy. Didnt seem to care i had a performance car and what I wanted permits for. Didnt thrash the car, nice ppl. Long Queue though
  8. Dont expect to see change from $500 for custom rails. But Any good welder can make them Or you can try your hand and making them yourself. Steel or similar metal (rigid and strong) Appropriate welder and a drill. Best of luck!
  9. Brake Master Cylinder available by any chance?
  10. Im not saying where I work. But I dont work at Amnet. Seriously why would you need a faster speed than 8MBps? What will allow you to use up your connection? Almost any FTP, download source, etc will normally cap out around 50k. Thats 512k speeds. Theres so little incentive to increase your speeds beyond 1.5MB unless you share your connection with others in the house. Even most torrents at the best of times I get 50k /sec as your waiting in queues and I refuse to use open ones like kazaa instead sticking to secure ones, because you always end up getting the wrong thins (tards rename it), the companies whos material it is trace it, quality sucks so many bad reasons not to use it.
  11. If you dont want service dont go iinet go Amnet much better not as fast but you dont have to get iiphone (Phone makes ALOT more money than broadband hence they bundle). Amnet is really good for the price and quick. Also with iinet you need to consider the speeds offer are a MAXIMUM.This is dependant on factors such as SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio), Attenuation, Cable distane (which really influences the other two), Modem brand, model and make (Different chipsets work better and worse than others) and your in house cabling / devices (that may or may not worsen the quality). Anyways. Service - Westnet Speed - IInet Speed / Price - Amnet Hope it helps! *P.S. im sure most companies will be offering VOIP very soon, I wouldnt let this influence your decision. VOIP will be common very soon, in the end I prefer home phone and my mobile cap plan. I use home phone for when people call me and mobile to call people. Works the easiest as I dont need to be at home and on the internet to make a call!
  12. This is why we dont go to Automasters because they would think a turbo is used to power neons. You go to a performance workshop because they know what the hell is going on. As for them f**king up peoples cars im sure any decent perth Workshop (theres only about 5 or 6 in metro perth). Would happily sort you out if they broke something, in most cases im sure they would fix their mistake and avoid telling you, or do it and tell you after they did it and they replaced it for you with no charge. All the shops arnt shit, some take more care, some take less, some charge more, some charge less and some just rip you the bork off. Take the time to look around and what workshops are around, get prices, get advice and get your shit fixed! No excuses for lazyness. P.S. its Right not write Now this thread is useless! Everyone knows the workshops everyones got their preferences and alot of people have close ties with one or the other. Find a workshop, dont just drop your shit in and leave, take a moment to have a chat to them, if they do you a favor buy them a 6 pack they will remember you and take care of you! Its the little shit.
  13. Im after a brake upgrade for my S13. Looking for anyone with some R33 GTS25t callipers for sale. With or without pads. Preferably local so I can inspect the callipers. PM me / Email me at [email protected] Thanks!
  14. 30ish dollars and it will cover up to 4 - 5 mods. More mods you need to pay the $30 fee over and over. If a cop ever ripped my permits up I would complain so loud and I wouldnt stop till he is suspended / fired. No way a cop can get away with doing that unless you have blatently forged or made *additions* to it

    Bovs?

Plumb-back BOV's are legal and require no permits as they meet ADR's and are supplied stock on most turbo model cars. Atmospheric BOV's apparently dont meet ADR's I hear they fail because they fall under being a nuisence and distraction to other drivers.. Not really sure on how truthful it is but even with permits you can still be slapped with a yellow for atmo BOV's

    Crash

Assuming the chasis isnt damaged or bent. Its repairable and wouldnt cost too much as long as u get the panels and do the work yourself. If it has then you may be better off selling it off as parts and buying a new car.
