cheers for your help guys but 'buck' sorted me out. i've got a happy 33 again.

I need a R33 s2 ECU due to short circuiting something while testing meter reading from AFM. Tried 2 AFM and still wont start. There's continuity and power through all 3 connector wires. I'd like to purchase one in known working condition..... or at least borrow one just so I know im on the right track. Cheer guys for helpin out.

tryed yet another AFM and car still didnt work. It must be the ECU?????????? but why did the diagnostice test read no.12 afm errror. is is the processor within the ECU for the AFM thats fried????? anyone got a ECU for sale?

there's continuity from both terminals no.26 & 27 to the AFM connector. so it must be the AFM.... perhaps the AFM I tried form the wrecker was stuffed too. I need to get my hands on a known working r33 s2 AFM.

did the diagnostic test which worked perfrectly.... came upp with no. 12 afm prob. my consult plaug didnt have the black plug connected in it, is just opened.... also are r33 s1 ecu identical with their terminal connector numbers as a r33 s2. I need to check the continuity of terminal no. 26 & 27 which relate to the afm sensor wires.

I done a diagnostic test and it reported but no.12 afm problem. I found power coming from the afm connector. I will test the continuity of the afm signal sensor wire (no.27) and also the earth wire (no.26) Are r33 s1 and s2 ECU identical with terminal pin connector layout????

I did test the signal from the afm loom but meter picked up nothing. this makes me think i've fried the wire.

I was testing the volatge coming from my AFM on my r33 gtst s2 to see if its operating correctly by connecting a multi-meter to 2 of the 3 terminals, negative and positive. I incorrectly tried connecting it another way through the meter which caused the car to have a rough idle and then shutoff. Now it will not start at all. It cranks over and idles for a split second then shuts off. Ive checked all fuses that I know of and none are gone. Ive also reset the computer and this has achieved nothing. The care starts with the AFM disconnected but it has a rough idle. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I unpluged the 02 sensor and the car started, thereofre the 02 sensored is stuffed. Which falcon o2 is best to purchase? cheers.

I had the negative to the black and grey wire on the o2 sensor and the positive to the red wire. This was all fine until I change the connections on the actual meter.

do you have a aftermartket BOV and/or air filter? If so these devices could be causing a few of these problems. replace with standard parts and see what happens. otherwise needs a tune.

what should I use to clean the valve and perhaps inside my throttle body?

I replaced the battery, and what do you know, still have the idle problem! I guess i'll have to find an AAC valve off a wrecked R33 and replace the existing one. Is it a simple bolt off and then on with the new one. Any gasket needed?

with the lights off at idle, power steering and a/c gives the same problem.... im gonna put a 550cca battery (previous was 360cca) in the r33 and hope this fixes the prob.

where exactly is that in bolivar and when do they compete? im interested in joining a kart club.... might be buying a mates KTS-100 (gets up to 100km/h) kart and hoping that I could join a kart class for competition...

The revs drop from 700rpm to 500 rpm continously on idle, but only when the headlights or foglights are on. As soon as I turn them off the R33gtst stays on a nice idle of 700rpm. Im tippin it's either the battery needs replacing or the alernator..... has anyone encountered this problem before?
