Uhm.. :Paranoid: The diff broke :innocent: HOPEFULLY after this it won't demand any more attention! It's costing me quite a bit to get it fixed cause its a rare car/diff. I can't just walk into any wreckers and say "gimme a diff"

It didn't take long. But I normally take the whole day off work and go down and leave it with them the whole day. But I'm sure if you ring him and work something out with him, he'd be able to give you a better idea. I can't comment on the price because it depends on how much work is involved with doing your car.

Everytime I seem to come onto this forum I get that message. And it's really very annoying! 9 times out of 10 I get this message.

But he does good honest work that doesn't cost the earth. Yes he is at Labrador, but it only takes 30 minutes to get there. I've suggested many skyline owners take their cars to him and all have had nothing but praise for him. Mario, Maybe you could get the throttle body and odometer looked at at the same time?

uhm. Ok. But all your problems indicates to me its the same thing I had. I'd get the throttle body checked out before fiddling with fuel. But thats just me.

Mario, If its the same problem mine had, it would cut out at sets of lights, turning into a carpark, or just .. stop when it felt like. I thought it was after I had just run it hard, but after a few experiments it just did it when it felt like. I also noted that everytime I would go down Marshall Road towards the freeway (the set of lights that actually sits under the freeway) it would cut out. I took it to my trusty old mechanic [plug] GAVIN WOODS [/plug] and said "Gav.. car broken, fix." He said "Ok" Ended up being that the throttle body gets clogged. And what would you know, he fixed it and it doesn't cut out anymore! He was right! As usual Soo this maybe your problem. It may not be. Apparently they are rumoured to have this problem. Might be an idea to ring Gav and get him to check it out! *********************************************** Just a question (after reading the rest of the posts) Did you buy your car from Streetmachines per chance Uhm, my odometer stops when it turns over to the next 10,000k's. This is a sign of wear in the odometer gears (usually meaning the car's odo has been wound back quite a bit). Gav fixed mine too. Although, cause its worn, it stops every 10,000k's and clicks over when it feels like it. It eventually moves....

Bel, Make sure you go left at the cemetary.. OR via off left at that intersection. We made that mistake and had to turn around 20 cars on a little dirt road. To me alarm bells would have gone off when the remote was in a funny area and the doors open. I would have called the cops then and got the house dusted for prints. And got the car dusted to see if they had touched the car. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing this was happening. I'd do everything possible to stop them. Change the frequency of the door. All they'd have to say is they lost the remote and need another like this. Put an alarm on the garage door. I'd even set up the cameras filming the front of the garage door. This gave me the shivers when I read it thinking that people could go to so much effort just to steal a car!

Well.. my diff is officially and utter fubared So if anyone knows of anyone that is selling a diff or wrecking a car could you please let me know? I have the 1993 R33 M-Spec Hydrolic diff (apparently ) which is kinda like the GTR diff but with different gear ratios (apparently) I am just looking at options at the moment. So if you know anyone that has a diff for sale (the same as the one above) please let me know I can't really drive my car till i fix this problem! And I don't want anyone saying stupid comments like "How the **** did you break a diff.. there unbreakable. I don't ****en know so don't ask!"

What about your diff? Still got it. What kind is it?

How is your aircon compressor? I think we may be up for a new one. Is it still in one piece? and guaranteed to work?

There is a cruise today for anyone that wants to come. I know its a bit late notice but they didn't tell me till today that I could invite people. If you would like to come, we are meeting at the Springwood Crazy Clarks carpark near springwood maccas... (Just look for all the cars) around 1:30 - 2:00... leaving at 2:30 The cruise goes through all the mountains and then down to advance town. We are expecting quite a few cars to come. depending on which way you enter the park If you go in through the top side (Spring Hill) then yes.. the speed bumps are nasty.. especially the one in the middle of the two enterances... If you come in from the city (near the new magistrates courts building area off roma street) you should be ok... Theres only like 2 ... maybe three at the most speed bumps that you have to go over. So mabye it might be an idea to leave the first few carparks free for the really low cars so they don't have to go all the way through the carpark.

Guys... and girls. My aircon is making funny noises. It seems to be squeeling when its sucking the air in. And cause its climate control its continually sucking the air in and starting and stopping.. Anyone got any ideas? My b/f knows a little about car aircondition and thinks it may be the clutch.. (he's not sure if the compressor has a clutch or not... ) Does anyone have any ideas... Or any estimated prices on how much a new compressor will be? Thanks I CANT LIVE WITHOUT MY AIRCON!
