  1. The R31 would probably be really bad to tow with in opinion. You've gotta remember that not only are you towing the weight of the R33 (around 1200-1300kg if I'm not mistaken), but you've also got the weight of the trailer to add to that as well. Whilst the trailer might not look like much, most will still be around 200kg, and then you've got the physics of the whole thing, which would just make it near impossible to get a smooth ride once hitched to the R31. Whilst the idea of a 4x4 might seem like a good one too, you've gotta remember that the majority of those around for a half decent price (around $3000 compared with the R31), are in quite bad disrepair, and may end up costing you more than it would really be worth. Especially if it's an older diesel engine. Your best bet unfortunetly is probably a ute, or maybe even an early model Hilux van. Van's are actually fairly good for towing, as they ahve a much lower center of gravity. That and you've got a mile of space for parts, tyres and tools!
  2. Can I get an amen? Preach it brother! :werd:
  3. since 1997 when I got my licence XD Falcon Sedan XE Falcon Sedan XF Series II Falcon Sedan 1980ish Toyota Hilux w/ column shift!!! 2003 Mitsubishi Triton 4x2 and now the 'line.... and I spose, since I own half of it, you could prob count my wife's 2003 Lancer GLi. Everything I've had down to the line has been stock as. We got the Lancer with 16" Chromies, Exhaust, Suspension, and we put a stezza in it :matrix:
  4. hahaha can't say I've ever had a nightmare about my car, I've certainly had dreams where it featured though. My first car was an XD Falcon, then I had the XE, and guess what.... after that an XF The XF was the sweet one though. Ex-Taxi, had been around the clock once, then rebuilt, and still ran like a dream. Plus it was dual fuel, an this was somewhere around 98-99 so it was when gas was no more then 30c a litre! Oh, and it had the full vinyl seats and rubber flooring still in it too! Great for when you spill something in the car!
  5. Ahhh yes it is..... right under the 2 doors it has 4 doors. Jesus bloody christ! That list is huge..... but some insane things that are on the list are Landcruisers...... simply because they're V8's. My god! I'd like to see any kid try and kill him/herself in a ****ing cruiser!! It's a boat dammit! No mention of sprinters or MR2's with a supercharged engine though. So this means all you good little P platers can now buy big on hachis and do engine conversions. Hell, it's not that hard, I've done it
  6. Need one. Have seen a few of you guys offering them for $100 or so. Can anyone help?
  7. yeah, no..... not me thanks. 1) I haven't got a front bar 2) the car has terradactal shit covering it and I don't have time to wash it yet 3) I may be taking a trip to Sydney on Monday to (hopefully) pick up my NEW front bar
  8. have any of you actually boxed the pod and provided an inlet for cold air coming into the box from somewhere like the front bar? Or are you just not getting difference because you haven't done either?
  9. You can never be 100% sure because the written law can be interpretted in whatever way the indiviual likes. To a certain extent of course. But in all honesty, from everything I've read and heard, living in Sydney you're going to be way more likely to get pulled over, and the police there seem to defect you guys for everything. In other areas, you will usually not get pulled over unless you flaunt the laws time and again. I'll see what documents I can find online though and see if we can get a proper reading of the rules. Will that put your mind at ease Moanie?
  10. Holy Sh1t dude! It looks almost identical to mine which I bought at the start fo the year, except mine has no real mods, and I bought the bastard for 18g! I can't believe you have had hardly any interest in it. What is wrong with people? Anyway, whats the reason your selling it?
  11. As far as I understand, a pod is legal if you have it boxed. Something to do with the pod taking in air from engine makes it illegal, or something along those lines. Mybe somebody can correct me if I'm wrong.
  12. I need a new front bar, and am wondering what are the differences between the two different series as far as fitting a front bar goes?
  13. any idea on what postage would cost to newcastle on the front bar?
  14. Haha.... I drove around for two days like that too! Luckily its only 5 mins to work though. Got the rim fixed, and it looks ****ing sweet! I love not having chromies! Fixed the control arm today too, now I just gotta get a re-alignment, and get out the fiberglass repair kit and she'll be sweet :headspin:
