  1. I found it hard to locate a local Aussie dealer/workshop/parts store that stocked a Field Torque Split Controller, simple as that. I unfortunatley assumed the instructions would be both in Japanese and English.
  2. Does anyone know absolutley anything about this brand or know of anywhere you can buy a set?? A website, anything!!!
  3. Im starting to think you have to swap the whole front bar/spoiler in order to get a "mesh" front grill??
  4. Nope, im in Sydney. So does anyone know if the R33GTR and R32GTR front grills are inter-changeable???
  5. Ive seen a R32GTR parked out on the street near me, and it seems to have the R33GTR Mesh Grill (the section between the headlights) with a nice GTR badge in the middle. This actually looks really good, and i think more aggressive than the R32GTR "Fins" Grill. Does anyone know if this is a straight swap over? Or do you need to fit R33GTR headlights or some other type of mod? Thanks...
  6. I ordered mine from http://www.greenline.jp/ I think the Australian agent is Jason, fairly easy, no complaints. Just get him to confirm the price, delivery, insurance and fee's first... Ill have to get someone who can read Japanese to translate the instructions for me. The only thing i need translated is the colour of the wire that goes into the attessa loom. Theres about 6 different coloured wires, that need to be spliced into the loom, but i cant read Jap so buggered if i know which colour goes to which point!! LOL!!
  7. Ive just bought a Field Torque Split Controller for my R32 GTR, but the instructions i recieved for installing it is entirely in Japanese!!! Does anyone know of a set of English instructions for this item, or has anyone fitted one of these to thier R32 GTR? I know its a long shot, but i thought id try. Next step is to hang out at my local Sumo Wrestleing club and try and befriend someone Japanese to translate!! lol!!!
  8. What kind of cost is involved generally in serviceing a used twin plate clutch?
  9. Sounds like an air leak to me. Check all your intake hoses and pipes for any sign of a boost leak.
  10. Would this wing fit a R32GTR? Cheers.
  11. Ive got a R32 GTR with either a two or three plate multi-clutch, i dont know the brand as the previous owner fitted it. My GTR has 350KW at 4-wheels, and am now wondering what my options are for clutch replacement. Im not familiar with multi-plate clutches, and am unclear on wether they can simply be serviced when they start to slip, for less outlay than a complete replacement clutch? If a new two or three plate clutch is needed, what kind of price am i looking at to supply, fit and install? And does anyone reccomend a workshop in sydney for clutch replacment on a GTR? Thanks Matt

  13. Add a 3inch exhaust and a set of pod filters to the power fc, and remove the stock boost restricter t-peice, and with about 1Bar-1.2Bar it should be able to generate between 220KW and 240KW at the wheels depending on dyno and wether its RWK or 4WK. But with the stock ceramic R32 GTR turbo's running that boost id suggest they wont last long. To get a solid, consistent and reliable 250KW at the wheels R32 GTR id suggest a turbo upgrade.
  14. Thanks again boys....
  15. Yeah very true. Cheers mate...
  16. Ive got to go overseas for work in the next few weeks several times, and was wondering if anyone could tell me a safe period of time i can leave the car without haveing to get someone to start it and/or drive it? I will disconnect the battery, but was just a little concerned about seels or gaskets drying out / seizeing. So does anyone have an opinion on how long they would leave a car sitting in the garage without turning it over, or am i being a little cautious. Cheers fellas. Not that it will make a difference, but the car is a R32 GTR and the time frames im looking at range from 2-3 weeks to 3-4 months. Cheers
  17. From what i understand the N1 turbo's have a slightley larger turbine blade than stock giveing a small power improvement for the same rough amount of boost. Of course the main bennefit is that the turbo blades are steel, instead of the stock ceramic ones. This means better reliability and the ability to run more boost than the stock turbos. The N1 turbo's were designed by Nismo for competition use, offering the best trade in their opinion between response and power. Their the best option for the price for track GTR's, road/race GTR's and fast street GTR's. The spool up time is almost identical to stock, but you can also run boost levels up to 1.3-1.5 bar without fear, unlike the stock ceramic ones. With the appropriate other mods, Exhaust/IC/Fuel System/ECU and 1.4Bar ive seen a few GTR's make anything between 260KW-330KW at the wheels, depending on tune and dyno. For $1000 id say they were a good buy.
  18. Just a couple of quick questions. What kind of quartermile time is possible with a R32 GTR fitted with these turbo's? Does anyone know of a HKS 2540 equipped GTR running a 10sec pass? Id guess it would need to hit at least 125MPH by the end of the pass to make it? I cant remember but someone said a Croydon built R34 GTR with the plates RH9 might of run a 10sec pass with these turbo's? Also when calculating power at the wheels versus a rough engine figure what kind of power % loss does a R32 GTR see? If a GTR makes 330KW @ all 4wheels on a dyno dynamics dyno in shoot out mode, what kind of engine figure does that point to? Does anyone know what kind of time a R32 GTR with about 330KW at the wheels is capable of? With something like a WRX, i always thought a power figure loss of about 35% was correct for power at the wheels versus the engine. But a GTR isnt a constant 4 wheel drive, so is it wrong when someone states their GTR makes 300KW at all 4wheels, isnt that figure always going to be a rear wheel figure? Or does some power transmit through the fronts, even when the rears havent broken traction? Sorry for all the questions, just curious. Cheers Matt
  19. Thanks fellas, much appreciated... I think ill leave it to the mechanic to fit, next time the cars in for something else. Once again cheers.
  20. I bought a R32 GTR a few months ago, and the car came without the stock cam cover fitted. The car has aftermarket adjustable cam gears, so im guessing the previous owner wanted to be able to admire these, so removed the cover and tossed it in the bin. Id personally prefer to refit the cover and reduce the odds of dirt/grit/stones from damageing the belt/engine. Ive just today been able to buy a 2nd hand stock alloy cam cover for my RB26DETT, and was just hopeing anyone could give me any advise or pointers on fitting it. The reason i ask is that im not very mechanically minded, and it seems theres a plug and a metal looking bracket that might need removeing before i can fit it, i think these are part of the Crank Angle Sensor. But i just wanted to be 100% before i try and refit my cam cover. Any advise or help, however simple sounding would be appreciated. Cheers. Matt
  21. Just another quick motorsport/performance related post. My R32 GTR has been fitted with R33 GTR Brembo calipers and the larger 324mm disks front and rear by the cars previous owner (lucky me). With a set of pads and some good fluid, will these brakes be up to track days? Ive seen a lot of GTR's with what seem like very expensive V8 Supercar brake kits fitted to them, these kits must be very expensive, are they really necessary, or can my setup be made to work well enough? Thanks.
  22. Im looking at entering a few track days soon, and have heard from a few workshops and a couple of owners, conflicting comments concerning the ability of the stock R32 GTR Radiator to prevent the car from overheating when punted around a race track. I was just wondering if anyone here has any advice or an opinion on the subject, wether you do track days with the stock radiator without any problems, or if you've been forced to fit an aftermarket replacement Radiator. My R32 GTR car has 2 x HKS 2540's and makes 330KW @ the wheels. Thanks.
  23. Thanks so much guys, much appreciated. I was thinking of useing the Redline Lightweight (Blue) rather than the Heavy Weight (Red), apparentley the Heavyweight is quite notchy and stiff when cold?? Also, can somone please try and confirm how much oil the gearbox in a R32 GTR actually takes? I read and heard a lot o different amounts, is 4.1Litres correct? Thanks again guys,
  24. Im a new owner of a R32 GTR, and would like to change the gearbox oil for some nice new Redline Shockproof. I only have a very basic knowledge of car maintanance, but am willing to do what i can to service my car. But i jacked up my car the other day, and for the life of me i couldnt 100% be sure of the drain plug and fill plug!! I understand the drain plug will be at the gearboxes lowest point, and that from what i understand the fill point is on the drivers side halfway along and halfway up the box? The only 2 points that seemd to be in these places, there wasnt a regular nut, but a nut with a large square recess in it, that looks as though it requires a special tool. Is this the drain and fill bolts? Or am i looking in the wrong place? What size are the nuts supposed to be? Any help or advice would be greatley appreciated guys, Cheers.
