i used s14 front and rear hubs. s14 front lower control arms, and r33 front and rear rotors and calipers. a few years ago that was around $1500 with brand new brake pads. if u go s14 front and rear rotors and calipers instead of 33. u may be able to get the total cost around $600.

i dont see why. all the mods agree and have taken stabs at the car. would be hypocritical to pin it on one person. and im not attacking the owner either. just giving a general consensus of how people view the car, as im not the only one with those opinions. actually ive never seen anyone with a different opinion.

^^^ agree 100% george. cyclists can go get f**ked thinking they have a say when they dont pay rego or anything to use our roads. cyclists, can u please do at least 30km/h in ur designated bike lane or walk, thanks. seeing us cars dont belong in ur designated bike lane, i still think we should be able to tell u guys how to use it. foot path walkers. can u please skip when walking, it will make transportation much more efficient and entertaining. us road uses dont usually drive on the foot path, but we still like to tell u guys how to use it like the cyclists. thanks.

see heres the difference, no one is telling people HOW TO mods their cars, they are telling people HOW NOT TO modify their cars. i dont think ive ever said for people to copy me, in fact i usually deter people who head down a similar path as my car styling. there are so many tough silvia's world wide that look nothing like my car. the above comment is so crazy my head will implode if i further try to debate it.

see i think most people dont buy into this diversity shit anymore. using that logic, any mod, as distasteful and horrid as it may be, can be classed as a 'different style'. plain and simple, people ruin cars by having no taste. saying its just not to our taste is like saying aids is not to our liking coz we arnt gay. aids is aids, crap mods are crap mods.

i know the pain. happened to my car, but they smashed a window after trying to pick the lock and f**ked up a door handle. DVD head unit and amps gone. then they tried to steal the car and totally f**ked up everything, ignition barrel and steering lock was f**ked, indictor mechanism broken. everything was in pieces and car didnt start. luckily there was one front cut of a legnum in SA. i needed to replace the steering lock, ignition barrel and the whole column indicator/head lights bit as the original one wasnt fixable. then had to get all my locked coded for the new key/barrel. ur situation sounds like a similar instance of my car. a mobile lock smitch can do it. i got Craig down at Glenelg Locksmiths to fix it all. did a top job.

the opinion of anyone with remote taste in modifying cars. white walls and chromies, umm someone tell the dude a skyline isnt a commo.. or is it. u dont have to agree with anything ive said, but the vast majority of the SA car scene does, and hence the success of AJD. the only people kicking up a stink are the ones with distastefully modded cars who dont get accepted.

nothing wrong with aftermarket kit, but the wheels, whitewalls and the standard height (to an extent) would have ruled the car out. and it has nothing to do with show cars. whos to say that car is a show car and a mint condition S1 RX7 isnt. my silvia is a show car i guess and thats been accepted every year. its not so much cars have to be done JDM style, as theres a lot of stock clean jap cars there. they are just against distasteful mods. i actually remember that aqua skyline at the kadina show last year, and i heard someone say hes hoping for the best jap award ppfffftttttt!!!!! haha hes seriously kidding himself and setting him self up for a major reality check. sorry if u guys are mates with him lol. thats the way the show is run, and the main reason its so successful. if u dont like it, take it up with the AJD committee. this is one of the main reasons SCS failed over the years. no screening of cars and a lot of junk getting in.

there isnt really 'suspension installers' around coz its so damn easy to install urself, especially coilovers. get a few mates around and u will have it all switched over in an hour or 2, and saved urself $100 or so.

^^ sorry ur wrong, large CAR wednesday. i dont think boats are included. however the 'leisure and boating show' should be posted up here when its coming up. then FINALLY r33's can enter a show lol. haha and no, my car keys are matte black lol. i was lucky too with the sprinklers, they didnt reach my car.

defiantly wouldnt have seen chrome on anywhere on my car. yeah the sprinkler incident was a disgrace, as well as moving from immanuel. oh well.

welcome to 2009. SCS is no longer a 3 day event (cruise, motorsport, show and shine), as its been getting worst each and every year. ie, too much chrome, fixed/rigged awards, decent cars opting for better events (AJD). so they only did the show and shine last year. wouldnt surprise if they have given the whole event up entirely.
