Its friday ppls, long weekend here infront of us!! lets enjoy the fact that we are alive on such a great day - dont let it get to ya's! I mean it could be worse; could be aids-ridden, could have cancer, could be paraplegic. Maybe you all need one of my nice relaxing knee pain killers (joke)? on topic: ebay rocks, just know what value RRP the product you are buying is.
-
LOL or buy my insane Fireblade see thread below
-
Did someone forget to mention its Friday? dont worry - be happy (the thread shouldnt have been deleted, moved yes, but not deleted, thats wrong. sorry, but mods delete too much I feel) on topic: ebay rocks, just know what you are buying and realize if its too good to be true, then it is. if you've been scammed on ebay, make a claim direct to ebay, they'll give you most of your money back

Good luck with the move.... I get 380-410kms before the orange fuel light comes up, and can go further still, say to 450kms with confidence. Thats with peak-hour city driving.

Stagea Group Buy Whiteline & Bilstein
Tangles replied to Sydneykid's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hi Gary, Id like to order a set of the following suspension components, including SAU discount and freight discount, if that is still possible? * Stabiliser bar, front, 24mm adjustable, BNF27Z $219 * Stabiliser bar, rear, 24mm adjustable, BNR11XXZ $219 * Caster, front, KCA331 $110 = total of $548 including freight, delivered to Adelaide? Cheers, Brendan -
Stags come with 15's, 16's and in the case of RS260's 17's, so...... not sure about all this. Mine had 16's as standard. Either way I'll make sure when driving that I'll work to roughly a 4% margin for error

Who Is Selling Thier Stag In Cairns
Tangles replied to xr8eater's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
True When I bought my Stagea last year, I saw it thru Carsales (was searching carpoint, drive, all those sites).. but yet it was advertised right here in this section - but I hadnt seen it there, handnt looked. If I did look here on the forums, I reckon I could have got a better deal outa CoolPC! LOL Like hks lowered springs & full stereo thrown in for nothing!! LOL (Hope you're not reading this Rob!!) Anyways, grab a Stagea; you wont be disapointed. -
Hows this then; The only crash & subsequent insurance claim Ive had was dropping my ZX7R Kawasaki Ninja at 5kmph on black-ice (was coldest Aug morning on state records).... was $3500 damage. True - handlebar, lever, fairings, exhaust - bike was completely stock ................... and out of the claim, I was given a Roo racing carbon fibre exhaust muffler on a reworked exhaust system, rather than a standard system! Insurance provided me with a performance exhaust system, LOL (gained a whole 5bhp from it too!!)

I know, thought that as I wrote.... but if youve borrowed from friend/family then you owe it to them to be able to cover the debt, again comp insurance is the go in that situation.

But arn't there heaps of Stags for sale throughout Qld? Just travel to the big smoke to pick one up - hell I flew from Adelaide to Brisbane to buy mine! Anyway, isnt that ebay Stag unregistered, therefore fresh from compliance? The shop most likely owns it. -
If you've borrowed money from a Lending Institution, then it is generally stipulated within the policy that if you've borrowed the money from said L.I. to puchase a vehilce or property then comprehensive insurance is a must.

Warning: Ebay Performance Products
Tangles replied to doritoboy's topic in General Automotive Discussion
OK, Ive only had 1 trade out of 180 go bad, the fella was a convicted thief (I googled him) & after making my claim I got all my money back (over $200US) from ebay less a $20 claim fee. But I had to file a claim to Utah, seeing it was an item from USA. Now, as for perfromance products, I must have bought over 8grand of performance gear for my motorbike off ebay and have had nothing but success. ie, Yoshimura exhaust retail $1400 I got fur under $700, then grabbed a Akrapovic exhaust $2400 retail I got for under $1000, got Keihin flatslide carbs $2000 retail I got for $1400, Wave rotors $800 retail I got for under $600, etc etc etc, honestly the list goes on. Do your homework & know what you are buying and how much it is actually worth. Ive saved thousands of dollars thru ebay rather than buying via a retail shop door, with ~95% of goods being new. Yes, thats a top point about bias, WD. Got some info from SK on the matter, I hope you dont mind me posting this info for all Stagea members: "As you probably already know, the rear rotors have provision for the hand brake drum brakes. I think that will stop you using the front brake callipers on the rear as the pads (and the calliper itself) would hit the drum in the centre of the rotor. Plus I don't think the calliper mounts are the same front and rear, so some adaptor would be needed."
-
Query; It looks like I might be getting a larger set of front brakes (calipers & rotors) in the future. Has anyone replaced the rear Stagea brakes (calipers & rotors) with those from the front of the Stagea? Does this sound feasible? Tangles

Thanks heaps Luke appreciated - thats a huge help.... so at 60kms on the speedo, I'll be going 1.88% faster than shown, ie 61kmsph going from 225/50/16 to 235/45/17
-
OK. Got the wheels on the way... yay! BUT - how will the 17's go in terms of the speedo & gearbox? To those that upgraded from 16's to 17's, is there a noticable change to your speedo calibration? Ta, Brendan

They make for some great Beery Pub stories, but! Fact is this - Every driver out there on the road is unsafe at some point in time whilst driving and 'in control' of their vehicle,

Also, I gather a RB20 turbo thats been hiflowed bny GCG would bolt on to a RB25 all ok?
-
Gotta luv the ol' Datto. Q:Why not RB20 or SR20 engine tho? For me (on topic now), a keeper car will be a Skyline with Rb engine, of some sorts. I know my Stagea isnt a 'real' skyline, but it really is kinda from the same family. I reckon in the long term we'll still have the Stagea as a family wagon, and a R34 of some sort (if 2 door it'd have to be GTR RB26, if 4 door then a GTT tiptronic).

No, there is an E in the name..... so Stay-J-e-a or Stay-jeah if thats the way you like it! which comes back to Staayy Geee A in my eyes well, thats how I'll always say it doesnt it?
