  1. Hi ppls! I live in sydney and i want to know some good mechanics for my GTS4. Thanks!
  2. I'm getting some Pirelli P7000's (4) in a few days. My GTS-4 already grips hard with slick tyres, so im looking forword to some serious g-forces!! Nice price too for Pirellis... $231.50 per tyre fitted and balanced. Bob Jane. See yas
  3. Damn Straight..! Mine Launches hard of the lights ... esp now i have a nice big clutch... beats most cars in 1st... Second isnt as good as fisrt but i still manage 100kms in Second. 0-100 8.3 secs Apexi AFC does great things for my gts4. Nothing better than kicking everyones arse in the wet!! 8-)
  4. Hey Guys, My GTS-4 needs a new timing belt aswell... only 55,000kms on the clock so i kinda smell a rat too. I also have been told i need a water pump aswell so thats handy to both at once. One Question... How much effect would a stuffed timing belt and water pump have on the performance of my car? Thanks
  5. Hey guys, Sorry about the heading, its not that exciting... anyway I just put a new battery in my R33 GTS-4, since then weird shi* has been going on! Like when i turn my blinker on or the lights on the car will rev at 1500rpm instead of its usual 500rpm, Same with the fan and heater ... even if i put the brakes on, the 4 lights goin on is enough to get my car revving by itself. I do have a system in my car which consists of a 12" sub, 2 amps and 8 speakers which my have something to do with it but the little Japanese battery that was in it before never had that problem even when it was real low on power. The battery i bought was an Exide Premium battery from K-mart for 65 bucks or so... It's supposed to be for a Corolla or something but it was the same size as the original Japanese battery that was in there before, even the terminals were the same.. There was one difference... the original japanese battery was hooked up to a tiny thin black hose which looked like it may have pumped water into the battery because it didn't have tops to fill with water.. i just left the hose hanging since the new battery didn't have anywhere for it.... is that ok?? or is water going to piss everywhere?? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks GTS-4-Freak:alien:
  6. i got the exact same prob with mine.....!! i got it checked out by advan and its the clutch bearing. Doesnt affect performance but makes your car sound a bit rough. Mine makes a hissing noise when the clutch is in too. It would cost a a fair bit in labour to fix it cause you gotta get to the clutch so i never get around to doing it..... chow....Simon
  7. Don't know what type of oil it was that was used, whatever Advan use i guess, it came up as high quality diff oil on the reciept. The car took 1.5 litres. The cost of the oil and half an hour labor from Advan was: $68.00. It didn't work straight away, it took a day to get the oil through the diff, but now the traction control feels better than ever. Thanks again for your help everyone. Cheers, Simon
  8. I have heard rumours about Macquarie Center but i wasn't sure how credible the allegations were. Now, after reading this forum the truth has been exposed. I have parked my Skyline there many times before, thankfully nothing has happened, but now after reading this forum I am thankful my $8000 NISMO wheels are still on my car. Thanks for the warning, I'll stick with Chatswood or Hornsby Westfield. Cheers, Simon :burnout: :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:
  9. That sounds alright. I'd be up for that, but what date were you thinking?
  10. Thanks for your help everyone!!!!! I went to Advan and they weren't even sure what it was but i suggested changing the diff oil like everyone here was saying and its now all SWEET!! What would i do without skylinesaustralia or my Skyline for that matter!! Thanks Again.... Simon
  11. Ive Heard Castrol LSD oil is good and Redlione is Shithouse.
  12. No need to upgrade my system. Its the pump. It's just it sounded better in my Hot Hatch than it does in my GTS, I guess thats to be expected though. Ive spent over 4k on it and its all Alpine with a 12" Kiker and 2 x Big Kenwood Amps so i dont think upgrading is the problem.
  13. Hey, Castrol LSD Oil is good for your diff.. Dont forget to bleed the lines, I get a mechanic to do it but I'm sure you can do it yourself if you want. I use it on my GTS-4. Dont use Redline... Ive heard some bad thing about that Brand.
  14. Tell me about it.. $160 was a rip off. I wasnt happy whan i saw the price but im happy with the result.
  15. Another way is to smash up the front real good and get it fixed without the badge out on. A little more expensive though.
