Oh, and I couldnt help thinking the helmet the guy wears while "grinding the crack" seemed a bit redundant. Not sure how much it would help if it all went wrong.... -

Hahahha. Good times. In car never seems to do those moments justice, but the first one expecially looks pretty exciting. -

Ditto. They are some mint lines you painted on launch. Just watched 09. The GTSt painted some nice lines out of corners as well. Looked to becomeing a handful towards the end. -

^^^ Cheers Woo. Have looked into buying something even part done, but havent found something on the same path as what I want to do so end up paying for stuff I am just going to redo or do differently anyway. Figure I may as well build from scratch and have something I have a full mechanical history of. Glutton for punishment. Gotta say though, Mazda is MUCH cheaper than evo stuff....at leats to buy....keeping it running might be a different story. -

Yeah, all this discussion isnt helping me stay away. Time to fast track the new build. I like the look of the opposite lock slides in the GTST. You definately had to drive that car. And agreed on some of the calls really needing to get your attention. Oh, and can ou answer me the "ron jeremy" call you put in YT's notes for TWP on Pelverata? On stages, with my limited experience, Mt Roland was one of my faves. Was one I finished completely peaking and babbling absolute rubbish.lol Was my first proper long stage. Probabaly my other was Strahan. Start of the final day and I said to Krause, "hang on tight, we are giving this one an RHG" after giving time away on the way in the day before. Had a proper crack on wet roads and gambled on what i had learnt about where there was and wasnt grip and didnt crash. Once you had your shit together, the blind flowing stuff was ace where you are commited over the blind crests and flowing it from bend to bend with the car really dancing, although I do need to review some video as we almost came to grief when our rythym was a bit too good and the car unweighted over a cresting corner I didnt expect and just about finished off the road. hard to pick that stuff up at Recci speed. -

^^ Yep, picked up on that call. I like having those little tid bits of info in the notes. Really help when you decide to give a stage a red hot go. -

^^^ Inspired driving Woo. Seemed to really drive yourself into the groove....although did I notice the intensity lift when the GTR was in sight? Noticed he deployed the James Bond smoke screen as things got close.... lol Cracking stage. -

13" wheels may be a problem as that is about the only rule in classic. (limited to 9" wide.) But all the rest of the stuff sounds ace!! Maybe some wheelie bars to help it on launch??? Some good time to be made in the first 400m. I like to think of it as classic time attack class. -

This might have cleared the path.... http://www.caradvice.com.au/137632/lamborghini-gallardo-super-trofeo-stradale-unveiled-at-frankfurt-motor-show/ Prior to that i think it was a track only car. Nice lookin bit of kit in red/carbon. http://www.lamborghini.com/en/models/gallardo/lp-570-4-super-trofeo-stradale/overview/ -

Cheers for that. The Group B do seem to fetch pretty big bucks. Even some of the group C replicas locally seem pretty silly money. Definately some ideas to be stolen from them though. I am sure I am on a hiding to nothing with the rotor, but am looking forward to the project none the less. A wedding to get sorted March next year first, and then I can get started. -

^^^ Was just chatting to Snowy. We figured it might have been around the RX7's as the twin sequentials on them are a bit ghey apparently.. ie unreliable. Could make an FD a pretty good thing for EM I reckon. Who do we know who has an FD?? An bris, thats twice this morning I have been bashed by a big brown monster with a stick... I'll try it neat next time chased with an invalid. -

Snowy, what cars can run singles? Still excludes the SS cars? ie GTR in modern? Are we just talking about GTRs and RX7's in EM and the other nissans? The RX8SP already runs a single yeah? Who was pushing for the change? In EMO news, already had an email back coming halfway to my offer, but had a long chat with the missus last night and came to my senses. (kind of although you will all doubt it when you read the next sentence. ) Am going to press on with the hiding to nothing path and build my Moffat replica RX7. So thanks fellas, been great being a part of this forum, but will now have to sign up to www.chookcookers.com and the support group www.apexseal-of-fail.org I have a really neat rolling shell lined up for $1500, an FC with all the parts I need to scrounge for $300, and a mazda MX5 for $1200. 3 cars for 3k. Trying to tun them into one decent one, priceless!! lol -

Yeah Timmy, its gotta be a car someone wants and the price has to be sensible. Both Snowy and I sold our cars pretty quickly, but I think both were reasonably sensible prices and decent cars. Was chatting to Snowy about it today. We agreed that people dont seem to do themselves any favours pricing their cars high trying to cherry pick and then dropping the price later. eg Newton putting his on at 65k and within weeks its at 55k. People start asking all sorts of questions.... -

^^^ Yeah he did, we soo milked all the good luck out of that car at targa tas. :)At Targa West the clutch gave out (I had told him it was due but the one he ordered didnt arrive in time) and also he buggered the front struts. (Leaks etc) Although if you see the pics of the car in prologue massively airborne of a speedbump (what sort of prologue has speedbumps I ask ya??? lol) its no wonder they let go. Apparently they were leaking onto the front brakes and making them hit and miss as well. I did chat with him and he kind of agrees it was a good thing the clutch let go as the braking thing was getting dangerous but he was keen to keep pressing on. Could easily have ended in tears. -

^^^^ Yeah, I am hearing you. He may decide to keep it and persevere with it in the club motorsport scene here in wa..... or I might get a phone call in a month or so when he has suffered enough dreamers/tyrekickers. Cant imagie there are too many people out there buying at the moment. -

^^^^ or not as he didnt accept the offer I just made. Gotta be fatalistc about these things. Selling the car for more than you paid for it cause you spent heaps on it to maintain it as basically the same car, doesnt justify a higher selling price in my books. -

^^^^ have rung him and had a chat, and he basically has suffered a wake up call to the financial reality of tarmac rallying. After having a 15k weekend at Targa West, while he really enjoyed it, to live the dream and go east he has realised might be a bit beyond his budget. So plan is to down size and go back to his old STI which he has kept and carry on with the club level stuff here in the west. Am serisouly thinking about getting it back, just to blast around in here and maybe take it ina bit more of a time attack direction (aero and more HP) as originally planned.......... -
