  1. yeah for a main shaft to twist like that is had to selected 2 gears at once. iether that happens or the gears break and the casing blows apart (ppg style) its a shame. it may be woth while contacting modena or par to reproduce a new shaft.... anyone can do it, but for reasonable money is another story
  2. yes, wich is 98ron premium unleaded (pump fuel). not a race unleaded, is this so? ps. lois, where did you get the borg warner?
  3. ps. linky on said comparisons? i havent orderd mine yet.. damn 0.65c/usd...
  4. lol. i was wondering when you would comment
  5. if you get the 500-1000hp one (recomended) the ac is 25% overdriven. and it says do not use ac belt if racing. the ac compressor doesnt like spinning at 10000rpm.....
  6. sounds good! i just made one of this style for anna (msnismo) ps check this out..gt4088r vs s374
  7. yeah i will overlay it when its tuned. just search "msnismo" in rb25 turbo upgrades....
  8. not if you want aircon
  9. bit of an update for you guys. just put a t04z .84a/r split rear on annas 33. was a gt35 with .63a/r it is a good 500rpm laggier. (on hard at 4500. builds boost from 3k but ramps up hard from 4300. where as before it was very smooth. tune not changed and a quick mock up steam pipe manifold. (did have a 6 boost on the gt35) has a 3.5" dump going sharply down to 3" at the cat entry and has not been tuned up yet. (waiting for new 6 boost and proper 3.5" zorst) on 5 pound less its much more angry. she loves it. but once its tuned up it will be a tru back to back except for a 3.5" exhaust. so stay tuned but from what i can say, it is significantly laggier on this particular engine thus far. but will have to wait and see. (refer above)
  10. umm 34gtt uses a 10" clutch. 250mm the flywheels are all the same vl rb30 up to your car. (240 and 250mm clutches can be interchanged on the said flywheels.
  11. we are sponserd by penrite.. ive had nothing but reliability from all there "sin" products. sin auto in transfer and power steer. sin 140 in the diffs sin 80 in the dogbox.
  12. the bearing carrier height is measured from the surface of the bearing seat(bottom of where the bearing sits) and where the fork rubs on the 2 tangs.
  13. cool. you need to use a small throwout bearing on a 12-14mm carrier. same as os giken. ottomotto have them in stock. the standard bearing and carrier is wrong. i got quoted $700 a plate from sbc.... a few years ago. i still have it rusting away in the shed as its just not worth fixing.
  14. the reason why, is that they use fibre synchros not brass. so it needs a atf type oil for them to work properly. same as a tremmec.
  15. so the race car this came out of... do you know if the shifter and forks are ok? just saying that it may have selected 2 gears at once.. i find it hard to believe that they have splines running into a bearing as well. where it is broken are the edges of the break shiny? or is there any colored stains at the break? or is it a uniform matt finish where its broken.. a close up of the snapped bit would be helpfull. for parts you need to contact quaife in the uk.
  16. looks like a gtr pump, but they are usually gold.
  17. so no ones broke an oil pump revving a 30 to 8000+ rpm????
  18. and another thing. why do people run a "oil restrictor" in the oil line for a gt35 (or any other garrett bb) when the restrictor is in the oil fitting in the turbo.......
  19. ok, when i put my t04z on my car. (bog stock except ecu etc etc and a 3.5" exhaust) it made 315awkw on 1.4 bar. i replaced that motor with one that had mild headwork and 260 poncams. it made 375 awkw on 1.6 bar. annas car has little 252 poncams and only a mild exhaust port clean up. she made 345 rwkw on 1.5bar. (320rwkw on every dyno but the one it was tuned....) so from what i can gather cams and headwork are paramount to making good power.. except for the odd car that makes retarded power compared to everyone else lol.. so if you are not planing to do headwork or atlest cams and still want good power id get the t04z. you wont be dissapointed. if you get a 35 you will get tired of it. just like anna did. (only took a few months ) so.
  20. interesting info but im sure the sound makes up for the response
  21. yes. think it best if you just give them a box of bits and say, make it work save you the dramas...
  22. here you go. DIRTY 74mm borg warner bush bearing cat diesel turbo vs GT4088R same boost as you can see "GT" isnt the be all end all of turbos..... AND A SIZE COMPARISON for these two turbos. "GT" vs shwitzer borg warner. AND THE BORG WARNER IS A SOLIT 10MM BIGGER IN WHEELS ON BOTH SIDES, jet still has the same responce. not having a go at you, just saying old, tried and poven wins every time.
  23. exactly my thoughts AMEN. missuss car has gt35 mine has t04z. and how you described it is spot on. it was the boring surge of power and the lag between gears that shitted me with the 35. (345kw vs 376kw) but the t04z just felt so much stronger. each to there own.
  24. fkn lol. very pawn. you wish you looked that good hehe
