heard of the tps playing up on rb25s?

hi i am having troubles with my r33s2 gtst was eratic now getting worse anyways starts fine drives well for a bit, then put my foot down, back firing wont rev, slowly dies, still drives well off boost. now ive tested the fuel pump, good pressure, exchanged afm ok, checked coils ok( cant see being related) by passed boost controler ok i dont no wat to check next do peoples tps play up? i have an altered plenum(throttle) move to the front but has been fine for a long time its all pretty much stock turb back exhuast, pod, fmic, std boost etc any ideas? anyone experienced similar? any help appriciated

i would go with the toyota, it just seems as though they are more proven ie, mining companies use them, fireies etc etc and id be increasing your buget by at least 7-10k you wont get a good hilux 10k, considered landcruisers? you can get a good cond. 80 series (early 90s) for under 20k. for around 10k you get old hacked up 4wd, in general. also if you get a troopie you can convert the back into sleeping quarters there are plenty of troopie campers around. this would save you towing a tralier, and i can tell you getting bogged with a trailer on is noy a good experience.

fair enough, but some of us do get harassed for driving a "performance" example- dropping a female friend of at a club sat nite resulted in being pulled over 3 times in 1hr, 1st policeman -breath test, licence,ok drive off, good guy polite etc 2nd policeman- breath test, check rear tires, check out the girl, ok drive off 3rd policeman-treatens to take my car of me, sees me doing a burn out, no wait heard the tires screech, or sees smoke, this wanker is pullind shit out of his arse, after debating with him for 15mins that i simply drove through a round about(and slowly) he gives me a fine for undue and exesive noise,($100 fine)even though i show him permits for my exhaust??? he simply wanted to target me he goes on to tell me if i want to "hoon" go out of the city a do want you want so i have been told by a policeman to go do burnouts so al it is not how you drive its unbiased harrasment from cops with a night stick up there somewhere and i am sick of it

i got no form of boost control stock boost 7psi/ .5bar if you like

when i accelarate on boost, turbo spools reads 7psi on my gauge but doesnt pull, feels like timing is retard but is not,def not clutch slip i no what that feels like revs good, idles smooth drives good of boost, only notice it when i sink the boot in

yeah my mates a mech, and he is going to be piised off because driving it around to his place just then and its driving fine hehe and i know how mechs like the eratic probs.. cheers

hi guys having some troubles with my 96 gtst, well symptoms are when i give full pedal turbo spins up to full boost, and it seems like its retarding, full boost and goes nowhere. there is no intercooler pipework leaks, bov leaks so there is nowhere for the air to go, maybe fuel issue?? ideas on what to check for/ anyone experienced similar??? any help apprciated cheers

hi guys, im in seach of a place selling cheap turbo timers. i can seem to remember a place selling them for $40 and hooked up to your alarm for$50 i think the shop was called j shop??? and they were in welshpool. ive scrolled the forums cant find nothin ive also tried the search function, cant find nothin, it wasnt that long ago.......... i think?? can anyone help or am i dreaming it all up cheers..

hi guys looking to remove the standard double din cd player on my r33gtst s2 and put a single din in its place. now ive had a look a it seems as i have to pull half the dash off to remove and install the new sterio (not literally) anyways just after some tips, pointers, places of clips etc to help me before i start cheers guys

well well, it varies, hugely a basic tradey in a maintence company is on about $25 hour bout $800 a week after tax.sub contactors (doing own tax bas etc) are earning $45 an hour $1800 a week, work out own tax. compare this to a 1st year apprentice earning $6 an hour on a good union inner city worksite $200 a week $100 site allowence $50 a week travel $50 parking allowence $30 height allowence $430 clear i am in a small company of 3 guys and last year my boss made over 120K and he does f#@! all now, well not tools related.

yeah my 1st car was a vl turbo calais, if your comparing 4 door examples the vl has cleaner lines, eg vl little bob tail boot compared to the box arse end of the 31 the calais has little trick features like half pop up lights etc both 4 door examples handle shit anyways, motors basically the same both interiors are on par, (except calais versions much better) more vls around you will pat more for a vl basically it comes down to what shape you like best 1 vote vl vl calais (T3/4, custom plenum, huge cooler, dump,exhaust hsv17s on it hole sweeeeet) ^my 1st love hehe
