  1. Clark Rubber also have some nice rubber edging that has thin metal in it, you can press it over the edges and it won't budge.
  2. I’d rather see SAU members competing in Dutton, Classic Rally, MC Motorsport, Max Action, Sprints. Drifts etc. If the motorplex worked with Jap car clubs they might get a better showing.
  3. Nope, stock standard. The SE MX-5 has 121kW at 6000rpm and 206Nm at 4500rpm. (uprated from the 107kW Nat Asp model)
  4. Sorry mate it was bog stock, ownage to you. Don't get too upset, a time slips is the only true test of "magilla gorilla" straight line performance but any knuckle dragger can drive in a straight line.
  5. Only place I know that sells official JUN products in Perth is Speedworks. At least then you'll know you're getting what you paid for instead of "Jap brands are restamped". JUN Japan - http://www.junauto.co.jp/index-e.html
  6. Great day guys, congratulations to Ken! You certainly proved your knowledge jumping into seemingly "undriftable" cars and getting them sideways. Good luck to the guys heading over east, stick it to the JMS boys. It was good to see low speed drift is all about car control and not big bucks. The event gave a few new guys a (legal) chance to show off their skills, hopefully this will encourage more guys to attend a few track days and maybe step it up a notch. I shot some footage, i'll try and get it captured and online soon. Advanced apology to anyone i didn't get on film. Ken, next you'll have to get the Zig Zag turned into sealed road so we can have Jap style downhill battles ! On a serious note, keep plugging for "potential drift demo series next year", if you need a pile of signatures to prove there's public support let us know. I'm sure there's many on this list and others who could fill a page with signatures.

Black MX-5 sounds like Chris's Mazda Factory Turbo "SP" but they don't have a huge IC. Perhaps it was Leslie's MX52NV, he also owns a go fast bits shop called Wheelspin. I'm always keen to see more turbo/supercharged MX-5's around Perth so hopefully there's a new one in town. I think that yellow skyline is one of my neighbours, don't bag someone because they didn't try and run you at the lights. Not everyone is a highway hero. I beat GTRs all the time when they're not trying or they're parked.
  8. "Then there was the item that by late 1986 was creating considerable conflict between GM-H and the HDT, namely the 'energy polariser'. ... The HDT press release described the 'polariser' briefly as "a new development, which improves overall vehicle efficiency, ride comfort and stability." Among the claims made by Peter Brock for his invention were that it enabled a car tuned for super petrol to run ULP with no ill effects whatsoever. Such a claim is in defiance of all normal logic, but Brock insisted on the truth of it. He admitted that this was "way out thinking" but it was clear that his faith was beyond question or challenge. On the other hand, GM-H dismissed it in these terms; "as far as the energy polariser is concerned GM-H can see no technical merit in it and cannot endorse its use". Peter Brock's clash with GM-H peaked in February '87, with the announcement that the long-standing relationship with HDT and GM-H was over. " And then from www.skeptics.com.au "In 1982, Australian Skeptics instituted an award to be presented annually at the National Convention to individuals or organisations who made the most outrageous claim of a paranormal or pseudoscientific nature in the preceding year. ... The next award went to an Australian sporting icon. In 1986, Peter Brock, Australia's premier touring car driver, became involved in promoting an "energy polariser" which, he alleged, when attached to the firewall of a car, improved its performance in all fields. The device was not connected to any of the vehicle systems and supposedly worked by application of mysterious "energies unknown to science". Along with motoring journals, the Skeptics conducted an investigation of the device and found that there was no basis to the claims made. The fallout from this affair saw Brock severing his relationship with General Motors, his long time sponsors and with a number of his colleagues. The publicity associated with the case saw the device withdrawn from sale." It sounds like the fuel didn't even run through this device at all.
  9. "THEORY OF MAGNETIC POWER POWER NEO uses a strong magnetic field from the neodymum magnets to re-arrange the gasoline molecules to be in a more structured which provides a more complete combustion. This improves the combustion efficiency, and in turn reduces the amount of unburnt gasoline and corbon monoxide in the hydrocarbon infested exhaust gas. Carbon monoxide is the main component in exhaust gas pollution. POWER NEO is able to contribute to the global warming reduction which is the biggest environmental problem today. ... With POWER NEO, the driver will see a dramatic improvement in torque at low RPM levels. This improved torque is a result of a more explosive combustion due to a more complete fuel burn (as close as 100%). Power is improved through out the RPM range without pressing the accelerator too much. This will also improve mileage as a result of lesser fuel consumption." http://shorterlink.com/?LJ0R0S
  10. For performance parts no one has mentioned Go Gear or Revolution both in Ozzy Park.
