RE KLM Nissan RB series engine would have to be 1 of the most trusted and reliable engines from any manufacturer dont be scared of klm with these just be concerned about condition and if possible service history which is difficult in Japanese market. but your buyer should know where to look for good maintenance as so do good mechanics(if not ask yourself why your using them).

Another Importing Newb Here!
PRIMO replied to ironpaw's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
the Auction sheet says there is no warranty or claim and there is no gureantee its running or working in anyway. bassically as-is buyer must personaly inspect it. as general rule those cars do have major Issues ussuly with engine or transmission. -

Hi Have Customer friend who has asked an question i dont really know so i thought id post it here for peoples ideas or opinions. Story : customer has bought a vehicle Encumbered to Esanda finance knowingly as the seller has told them it will be paid out once funds have been recived for the sale of the car. Now the car is still encumbered 4 weeks later and cannot contact the seller. Question being he asked was what steps could someone do to recover funds or force the finance company to do some checking to release the vehicle as they would know where the seller was as assumption he was still paying the loan as it was attached to his morgage on his house. what other things could you do, are you protected in anyway. I have been aware that if you insure the vehicle also and its crashed or writen off the monies dont come to you either it goes to the encumbered financee, so this is worring also if you crash. your hard ernt money goes to paying off the loan for the person you allready paid. has anybody else been in this position ? and thoughts or help or even experiance would be good to know and help out other people in same position. When buying an encumbered vehicle 1 would call the finance company give details and find out the payout then make a check to the finance for the remainder of loan and any left over would be another check to seller. this is the only way 1 should do it in the private market.

Tokyo Auction Grade 4's
PRIMO replied to Blitz_boy's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
unfortunatly your correct grade 4 now days can be big variance depending on a lot of factors. 1. being who owns the car if its large seller known to auction house the give kinder reports. 2. being inspector is easy or hard or doesnt know really. 3. the auction owns the car meaning instant minimum grade 4 only way to do it now days is to get your man on the ground to check it with his own eyes. -

Ive had the Stagea M35 as a drive car in japan and out of all the cars ive had it was buy far the best wagon or 4 door sedan that is on offer from japan. there are a few good examples getting around just make sure you get a copy of the dereg docs to confirm klm are legit. between the C34 and M35 there is no comparision they are just totally differant cars in all areas, and i would waste your time to much searching for a C34 model, allthough they can be had cheap, id rather spend the little extra. -
Personal Imports
PRIMO replied to ebola's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
you will need to own it for minimum 12 months to Qualify for personal import scheme to bring it back to Australia. -
sounds like they are ussing it as a test car for the 1st inspection ask them that. if so you should be able to get big discount or even free compliance if you want to wait that long. other wise it maybe the case they have used all their compliance plates and will wait for their quota to come back beofre they can plate it. just ask them a few questions you will get he answers . regards, Phil

Discussion Point
PRIMO replied to Mr Eps's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
ITs come over from New Zealand as personal import from a NZ resident who has moved to Australia it was very common place and i have seen a lot of these kind of imports floating around brisbane Queensland areas. Cefiro was very popular in NZ in its day. -

hi Chris Hence the reason ill be moving back to Australia end of may not worth the trouble to live in Japan any more. But fortunatly i have setup enough specialized backup in japan to continue going back to being a broker in Australia this bussiness will continue to some degree and im pretty sure it will become a very specialized industry from the next few years. we know who it is doing the euro and USA stuff and i think good luck to them for having the insight to diversify at the time they did it will have definatly saved there asses.

Importing A R32 Gtr
PRIMO replied to dreGTR's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
If you just want any GTR and dont care about the condition its cheaper from carsales. if you want specific oreder with history of genuine klm and the choice of what you want and to own the car as the 1st owner in Australia its better to import. Current pricing in Australia is getting a lot cheaper for these older inports allready been in australia a long time but its for certain look at the car and its condition never regard the klm as genuine. -
the model i would look for for is either EX type as this has afew extras IE climate AC or ther are some special models like RIDER edition and Agiactive editions like kristian has although i stuck my head in the door of his at the docks and looks like an EX version to me i thought most of the ones ive seen have special trim. + if you want a little more room and 7 seater you best to be looking for the Cubic3 model same applies to Cubic3 EX, rider, agiactive etc all avail in this type also. I have owned a Cubic3 and found it fun for a few months and the novelty wore off soon after and my wife said i look funny driving that small car If you want to buy newer type YZ11 1500cc these engines are much faster and also economical than the BZ11 1400cc type. they have done a lot more to this engine buy just adding 100cc its amazing differance over the previous 1400cc. YZ11 type chassis it not avail yet to import to OZ so this info would only be relivant to people living japan side.
