  1. Just got back to the workshop now. HAd a good nite, 3 passes in all. First was a 12.90 @ 111mph. (15psi, bogged launch from hell), Second pass was a 12.0 @ 116 - More boost and too many revs so up in wheelspin. Last run was an 11.75 @ 121mph. Still has a bit in the 60'. Well done Mona on the 12.60 and Abo on the BIG SMOKEY BURNOUTS!!! Yes Paul, now you do the gheyest burnout in SAU! Adrian/Daniel/Stuart
  2. Going to the WSID, Adrian will be driving a customers car for me on wednesday night, ill bring up a set of street radials for you to try, will be interesting to compare sixty foot times, see if we can get you down into the 12.20s
  3. You have to run boost pressure to the top & your regulated boost pressure to the bottom. seems like you have spent some money, why would you risk it with a $22 boost controller?
  4. Hi, we make custom surge tanks & breather cans. Can must be baffled so oil runs down to bottom of can & not straight out filter. if you email me at [email protected] i will send you some photos.
  5. good reason to go too custom plenum. Shorter pipes etc, are people really persisting with standard turbo?
  6. Methanol does allow you to run more ignition or boost. we ran 35psi on methanol. Intake air temperatures are very low. Dont have to run intercooler. Fuel is good for racing only. Too fidly for the street, plus it is allegal. Fuel is very corrosive. It attacks everything. have to run serious filter system. Most people will argue that running electric pumps is trouble. i tend to agree, we had trouble with pumps. Mechanical fuel pump is way too go. Make sure your tune is good as methanol is not as forgiving, serious melt downs occur. But if your setup & tune is good, you will see the benefits. Its just a bit of trial & error.
  7. coolers do not cause lag, i dont know where this idea comes from. as for pressure drop, this is needed as the inteference in air flow thruogh the core is what dissipates the heat out of your air charge. if your cooler flows with no pressure drop, its not efficient. you should defenetly feel performance increase with a good quality cooler fitted because your air charge is denser. this is what coolers are for. if yor not feeling it, your coolers not efficient. you have just extended your cooler piping. factory cooler probably more efficient at lower boost levels. you will definately sort the good from the rubbish when you start pushing some boost. 10psi isnt worth the effort. you will notice the difference at around 15-18psi
  8. If you get stuck for manifold contact me at workshop, and we will make one for you. I can also get housing if you need it. www.bezerkly.com
  9. at what rev range is the miss happening you said 15psi coil packs miss under load
  10. GCG Hi mount manifold has T3 Flange. We have fitted 30/40bb turbos on these manifolds. You can get exhaust housing in T4 flange if you need it.
  11. Wondering if anybody was once running a bleed valve & changed to an EBC type controller. What did they think after changing.
  12. if these controlers have adjustable knobs, they are not an electronic controler, you cant control gate pressures.
  13. dont compare a hybrid core to a Hyperflow core. You get what you pay for.
  14. why do you want one?
  15. email me at [email protected] i will email you back some photos.
  16. you have heaps of room then, as far as defect, yes you can but out of sight out of mind. They are well hidden. If you paint pipework in engine bay black, you cant tell.
  17. running excessive ignition timing combined with boost spike will definately cause detonation. missfire due to overboost can be caused by incorrect plug heat range and or plug gap. usually coil pack failure will produce missfire even at idle.
  18. performance was increased due too turbo upgrade. we used this manifold as we new turbo & manifold combo was good.
  19. your mechanic should know the difference detonation and a missfire.
  20. If it works its all good, but you have too compare apples with apples. Boost spike & creep are most evident when you revue a dyno run or drag run through a data logger. you would probably be suprised with the results.
  21. Sounds like the go. How controllable is the wastegate, do you controll it with Ecu?
  22. Was car pinging before you changed air cleaner? Pod filters are not always what they are cracked up to be. Standard fuel system can handle your boost upgrade, engine management may not. How are u increasing fuel to meet boost increase? Where you add boost you must add fuel or lean mixture results in engine detonation.
  23. If you can adjust fuel pressure back down to pressure that car was tuned on, in theory it should be ok. If not, all your fuel maps will be fat, including idle & start maps. Could make it a pig. Really should re-tune.
  24. Hyperflow do the best cooler core on the market. They now do a kit to suit R33. Pricing is around $1990. This includes all pipework (polished) Clamps, Silicone hose, B.O.V. Mounts Etc.
