  1. I own a genuine GTSR with the factory T3/T4 turbo still hanging off it. To be honest I think its not worth a cent below $1500 for the manifold alone. I'd love a spare one and if I got it for $1,000 I think I would have gotten a bargain. They are a factory thick walled stainless item which seem very resilient to cracking. Mines obviously 23 years ol with no sign of any cracking. Thats running 25 psi through it and antilag so shes getting warm.
  2. Can also try dynomotive in Bayswater. Plenty of experience with the Wolf product and also happen to be next door neighbours with Wolf HQ.
  3. NUTR33 was awesome to watch along with the yellow M3. Geez that guy drove the wheels off that thing. 200rwkw NA and running high 12s. Finally got a 12 second time slip for the old 31. It ran low 14s all day @110-11mph then decided to throw the ET streets on. 60 foots came down to 2.1 (from 2.6) and it snuck in a 12.94 @ 108mph still with wheel spin through the 60ft. As the track people arrived a couple hours late they didnt spray any traction compound down and as its rained all week the track was an ice rink. Thanks to the organisers.
  4. Current weather forecast has it as early frost then a sunny day with a balmy maximum temp of 12.
  5. I'm definately in. Wont have an alignment and wont have the straight pipe on but have got hold of some 15 inch ET streets. Ash has me worried about the tramping with more grip in the 31 though. It tramped bad with rubbish tyres and then same thing again with OK tyres. Might shake its windows out with the drag radials.
  6. If my mate with the trailer doesnt have an event that day I am so in for this. Last time at Heathcote I ripped the tailshaft off from the back of the gearbox trying to warm the tyres. Tramped like mofo and before my amateur brain told me to back off it was smashed. Side note: How the hell nismoids R31 gets down the track without tramp nor wheel spin is beyond me to this day. He had $50 tyres on as well!!
  7. ~$1500 for 12 hours, and your in Vegas? How many times you plan on going to Vegas? Pray to the gambling gods and rent them both!!!!!!
  8. http://www.hpheaven.com.au/store.php?gst=0...age=1&no=85 I've also been selling them for a while through the above link. A lot cheaper if bought in bulk as well.
  9. Never done it myself as I've always heard it was very cruel to the engine but why exactly is it worse to rev to say 7,000rpm in neutral as opposed to in gear? I understand when in gear and on the move the engine is under load but why is it worse in neutral when there is minimal load?
  10. Has anyone had issues with 7's fouling for normal street use? I run BKR6E at 1.1mm on street (95%) and 7's at .9mm when it gets the boot in - 250rwkw+. I have remote mounted coils so swapping out plugs is a 5 minute job. Is the OEM plug the same height as the BCP or the BKR? Maybe the BCP are actually too tall and put stress on the coils?
  11. I think you are both correct but in relation to different situations. If the car is at idle i.e not in motion and without load then the mods he has done should not affect the car. From my understanding it could have a T51 on there and a cooler the size of his bonnet and it should idle just like a stocker. The afm will read the air coming in at idle and supply fuel just like normal. Once its on the move though its a different story as AFM maxes, injectors max etc etc. You've done an engine transplant with a custom loom etc so your problem could lie anywhere. Could be a wiring issue with AFM, vacuum hoses, cooler pipes leaking etc etc.
  12. The word of this production is definately spreading. I know at least two copies have gone overseas. One went to Japan and I forgot the other one...
  13. 18psi comes in at over 5500rpm and makes peak power north of 8,000rpm! Holy shit. As a comparison my RB20 (old redtop) makes the same power at about 20psi but its all in before 4,000rpm and hits peak power at 6,000rpm. Its never seen 8,000rpm as the limiter is set at 7,000rpm. Turbo is the factory fitted dinosaur spec T3/T4. At 4500rpm your car makes 60rwkw where mine and other cars with say the TD06 fitted have already hit 200rwkw. I dare say the tuner could of brought your boost in a lot earlier with a .63 hot side but the 30/40 compressor may of gone into surge?.
  14. Well said. Whenever we purchase a new truck isuzu tells us to load the back to maximum weight and flog the shit out of it. Can sit on full boost for a minute straight pulling up big inclines. They never use any oil. We also have another truck of same model year we got as an ex demo and it needs 500ml a week easily as it was pansied around as a demo. Also seen a mates 500rwkw+ motor run in on the dyno for maybe 20 minutes maximum. Drain oil, refill with good stuff and full power tune. If rings are not bed by over 2000km then its basically too late.
  15. Definately a long drive mate. Our truck and trailer is heading up for powercruise at Barbagello and I sure as hell wasn't volunteering for the drive there and back. And thats on an air ride seat. Our economical Japanese truck (Isuzu) with trailer will drink on average 28-30L/100km. Bring on the $3k fuel bill.
