  1. funny thing is its not sellin well at the moment with all the waranty work (or fixing the cock up from the production line) on the ve it wont sell very well ,why holdens build quallity is shit if only ppl knew the problems these shitters had than u wouldnt touch them with a barge pole
  2. yeah but they must have got a ve that the bugs went on holiday for that day if they had to fix the cock up then it would be a different story note yes some cars have problems but the ve takes the cake
  3. the ve is just like any other commodore a bucket of shit wait till u see what goes on behind closed doors the ve/wm has more problems than u can poke a stick at at least the ve comes with a custom paddleing pool in the passangers footwell they should give away a free rubber duck with every ve/wm sold to keep the passanger amused (as the a/c drain tube doesnt seal propley and leak water on the floor) and when that problem is fixed then the hvac module are prone to failing so u will never use the a/c system propley creaks from the a-piller from bad spot welds the alarm system is a joke (better off buying a super cheap system) it takes about 2 seconds to remove the led indicators from the front guards (and u wont break it and u dont need any tools to remove it) the list goes on ??????

  5. pinout 7 on the ecu is the tacho signal wire for the factory dash tacho
  6. some one is feedin u bullshit the tacho will work but will read wrong u need to put a r32 tacho in the the s13 cluster 4 it to work and read proplery did u do the conversion or did some one do it 4 u
  7. sweet this gives me some good stuff to go by as im putting on a gt3040 with a .63 exhaust housing onto a rb25det powered silvia just got to build the turbo mainfold so the turbo sits in a nice spot
  8. just kills u i dont think so it could also kill anyone else in the car and buystanders commodores suffered from inopperable tail lights for the last 12yrs so thats nothing new to them the ve,s also have a problem with a knockin noise in the front of the vehicle when hitting bumps in the road which ends up being faulty engine mounts which have to be changed
  9. thats why the bolt snapped skylines use torque to yeld head bolts and should only be used once as the bolt streches to the correct setting
  10. that 32,000 recalls are for aussie sold cars not grey imports like 32 (execpt 500 imported r32 gtrs) ,33 ,34 ,stagea,etc well the only site i could find was www.thedogandlemon.com with recalls for japanese cars (such as skylines) and its only got 9 recalls since 1989 and most of the recalls affected r34-35 skyline (1 affected the r32) its just not the ve comodore the the prevous models aswell that have stupid recalls they have been building the ve for 6yrs so its not like havent had time to iron out the bugs can some one post up a good site for recalls on grey imports plz
  11. i will stop bagging it when holden get it right and the new commodore should be screwed together better than a 1989 model skyline as the new commohore was built 15yrs later and i hardly call a seat belt recall a small thing
  12. have a look at the hoist they are using (a old school hydrallic system) that they stop making in the 1970s and the pads look f**ked but in the mechanics defence there not as easy to put up as ppl think that have a full metal pan under neath the vehicle any my workshop was a aurthised lotus dealer and they never put them up on a 2 poist hoist (they always went on the 4 post hoist that had 2 full beam arms the lenght of the 4 post hoist that had pads that slide down the beams so u could pritty much pick the vehicle up in any spot and if it did fall it would only fall 3in on to the beams but when i did a quick stint at jaguar (porshe had just moved workshops)and the mechanics were telling me that the stupid apprentices were working on porshes they would always put the vehicle on the hoist in the wrong spot so when the motors were dropped out the car would be front end heavy and would start to topple nose down off the hoist and ppl would have to hang off the back of the porshe to even the weight so they could drop the car back down on the ground

  14. tango955 u are a utter tosser queensland police cannot over rule a adr rule and that is fact give up while u can ill stop u falling on your ass why your stupid commet about bov venting crankcase gasses bov DONT vent crank case gasses WHY coz they are not hook (nore have any thing to do with oil fumes from the engine) a bov job is to vent FRESH air when the throttle plate has been CLOSED this venting air has only gone through the turbo and cooler and then gets vented to atmo and if u still think atmo bov are still illegal and vent harmfull pollants to atmo i would like to qld police actual testing they have done to prove other wise and u know what they have no proof so how can it be illegal
  15. yep i still own and modd skylines and i own them coz i never had troubles with them so u dont even own the ve u drive well that says alot but u will be kinda out of pocket coz if and when your ve does get a issue u will (or your company) will be with out a car unless u pay for a hire car through your dealership and big deal about it winning some wheels thing they just drove it without something braking

  17. doesnt affect irs diff set up only affects 1 tonner and crewman (solid rear end) vy and some vz get affected with diff noise which is tooo much movement between the splines/trunnions and diff flanges and they have a very crude fix for it which id put new trunnion flanges in but coat the new trunnion splines in lock tight (which i feel is a bit rough)
  18. get f**k u f**kin top bloke how about u stop postin utter f**kin crap when u don know who i am and what i do i dont oten come on this site as ppl like u make this site f**kin crap if u think im talkin shit how about u ask your holden dealership the problems ive posted about diff noise i posted up for the vy-vz one tonner and crewman ,what about the vz fuel guage droppin to empty how u have to update the softwere in the vz using the standard sps and tech 2 and the tis 2000 to retifity the problem, or diff noise in irs vy from the trunnion/differential flanges or how about i tell u how how your piece of shit ve communicates in the electrical system between the hs-gmlan and ls-gmlan and can system to the ecc/bcm pim,mdf,tpm,ebcm,sim,etc how about your interior lamp setup (as its ambient light dependant) or how your hvac and a/c system work through the 3 different levels but then again im just a internet clown who doesnt know what he is talkin about :sorcerer:

  22. id rather a thrashed 10-15yr old import than a 2000+ model commodore with more problems than u can poke a stick at at least a 15yr old thrashed import can go more than 20,000km with out havin the diff replaced 3 times and i will be the first to jump on the lets bash aussie car shit because u cant hide the facts that the commodore is a cheap crap overpriced poor quallity built car with a shit load of problems that they dont iron out between each series and models this is fact even the vz with 1000km on the clock has a power steering leak (this to me is very poor quallity )only to get it fixed and have to come back in another 2000km to get the dash cluster recallabrated (as the fuel guage drops out when driving ) and other stupid things like having to fit a revised rear main seal to the v8s as that piss oil with very low milage, not to mention noisey diffs,,faulty door lock actuators ,faulty remotes ,thermo fans not switchin on ,bad earth connection for srs air bag (bad earth can induce a voltage setting the air bag off),noisey power steer pumps , the list goes on who also designs a cooling system for the thermo fans to switch on at 105.c so yes i have a reason to bag the commodore so shall i start on the other models ie jackeroo,barina,vectra,rodeo god its good to own a skyline/silvia compaired to this crap above
  23. it new ve commodore is a piece of crap just like its prevous models its only been out from august and already it got problems a/c drain hole leaks water on to the front foot wells f**ks the carpet and the carpet has to be replaced water also leaks through the door seals mainly on front doors water also leaks under rh and lh front wheel wells and through rh+lh kick pannels on to the floor there is also a softwere problem with the bluetooth conectivity so this is only the start for the ve i just cant believe ppl by this type of vehicle with soo many problems and they say its a great car and i the car wont be any better when they release the series-2-3-4 it will just be the same car with more problems they couldnt fix common problems that were commom in the vt-vz so do u think they will get it sorted in the series 2 ve i dont think so this car will still probly leak oil just like earlier model commodores
  24. sorry u gettin confused the trimatic is found in the vb-vk commodore geminis etc but u can buy a bellhousing to suit the rb range go full manual valve body etc vl box has a ecu
  25. if this car is for drag use forget moddin the skyline auto box just go ti the wreakers and buy a trimatic and get it built up (as u can get bellhousings to suit rb engines ) than u can run what ever ecu u like and i hope u got deep pockets to do this type of conversion as i do rb conversions into silvias i know what u have to do to get the motor in but as its only goin to be a drag car u dont have to worry about transport rules just andra rules
