yeah it was time to move on... a year in rocky will give me a chance to put my feet up, get my bearings on where to go next. Either i try get a government job, or look at working overseas, or go back to uni and do something different...

medical scientist - basically i test blood (and sometimes other gross stuff) for diseases - infections, anaemias, leukaemia etc... also do blood transfusions, drug screens, all sorts of stuff really. For the last 2 years i have been a 'relief' scientist meaning i have worked up and down the coast in most of my companys labs over qld from cairns to tweed heads, inland to emerald, stanthorpe etc.. its been fun but i need to unpack my suitcases and settle down for a while. Sick of living out of motel rooms and its hard to have a life on the road

meh the odd drinkie is ok, so long as you're capable of driving etc its fine theres no rule against it. I dont really drink that much these days so doesn't bother me much anyway..

oh and incase anyones interested... to move basic shit - a bed, mountain bike, bookshelf, small bar fridge and 5 boxes of misc crap is going to cost me some $800 AND will take 8 freakin days to move, they charge me $50 to put it into storage, 17$ per week in storage, another $50 out of storage plus $300 'delivery' to final address in rocky i want to buy a removals business. Damn, imagine how much it would be if i actually owned STUFF!

hahah appreciate the sentiment bryn....just dont get TOO close eh? i'll probably be offline for a while, i have to find a place get phone and stuff hooked up. I can predict i will be whoring on a whole new level, living by ones self (when g/f not in town) plus copious amounts of on call work for rockhampton hospitals = lots of nights stuck at home waiting for phone to ring.

yes and no. Will be good to have my own place with my own things - up till now i've lived with other ppl. I must admit i will miss everyone ive known over the years at different places working/travelling - i've covered most of qld, most of them i will never see again. I fear i will get bored in one place but at least i'm there for only 12 months.

not much....still sorting out stuff for my big move this weekend. Got the next 2 days off at least

well if shanes 17s were 150 i can expect mine would be approx 180ish? by the time i drive out there pick them up, then take them to someone to get fitted and balanced i probably would just rather go to tyrepower here at slacks creek for 230ea fitted, already in stock. that way i have a warranty too.

tyrepower just gave me the cheapest quote for new hankook k104s - 230ea fitted. If i haven't found anything better by this arvo i'll go with them i guess..

subzero33 put me onto a place in waterford - they have 245/18's for 145ea, or 225/45/18's for 85ea fitted. secondhand of course ,and actually are located just down the road...Hmm... will wait and see what shanes contact can do as i'd prefer newies if i can. Shane where is he located? can he fit and supply on short notice? (remember i'm moving friday).
