My front coilovers finally gave up the ghost a couple of weeks ago, so I employed some cheap apprentice mechanics to install the new ones last weekend.

I like the swap meet idea, could be cool for finding random parts and old stuff which I find interesting. But I guess there has to be a balance between commercializing it too much, and keeping it low-key and cheap to be a part of. Some heavily Cefiro biased photos I took...

After booking a time for early the next week, there was some more random driving... Followed by a short hills run to Camelot castle for an engagement photo shoot with our wedding photographer. You can see her blog post with the photos here, she's pretty awesome: http://www.angelsmithphotography.com.au/2012/01/sally-rohan-engagement-story/ My dad was nice enough to drop the Ceffy at Jaustech on his way to work in the morning, so I picked it up later that day with air conditioning that was now cooler than the air outside the car. Still not great, but I don't think Japanese cars designed in the 1980s were made to deal with Australian summer heat. On the way back down Grange Road, there was a drag VL on a trailer in front of a workshop, getting ready for the drag racing event at Adelaide International Raceway that weekend.

Coming into summer the air conditioning badly needed to be re-gassed, so I went into Jaustech to book it in, after looking at a couple of import spares/wreckers for fun. Always a different lineup of interesting cars whenever I go past. After partaking in a fairly violent and highly entertaining drift demo at Gazzanats a few weeks earlier, Anthony's blue Cefiro was looking very secondhand.

Thanks. Only a couple of months until the wedding now. :lol: I'm not surprised, their cake made the example cake I sent her look like it was made by a 5 year old. And yeah I'll keep the current headlights, I think those would look a bit too plain on my car. Haven't updated this thread for a little while so here's some more recent stuff. After the hills run I went down to Port Adelaide to play around with taking some more off camera flash photos. Unfortunately the main camera I used had some weird issue on the day where anything white had a haze and streaks around it, which messed up most of the photos, as well as me playing around with the flash zoom settings too much, but here's a few anyway.

I was mistakenly spotted by what must have been a couple of your friends yesterday afternoon. Was waiting to turn onto Bower Road, when a plumber's van pulls up next to me and the driver yells "Jazza!" then started to turn left, before reversing a few metres, having another look and yelling "You're not Jazza!" and took off again.

Yeah but was going to a mate's house down the end of the street anyway, figured you had to be somewhere in a bit of a hurry. Guess I'll actually meet you at AJD anyways. Your car sounded pretty nice.
