  3. Just so you guys know the Blue R34 was sent to us from The Phillipines and his website is www.turboawd.com.ph and RH9 now belongs to a customer from Canberra. We also have a Skyline arriving from India Today which will be converted into a low 8 second car. Lance
  4. That is right but if you use it you need to retune the engine as the 100 uses 2 percent oxygen therefore the engine will run leaner.
  5. Hey Guys, Here is dyno sheet of a R33 GTR with a new engine we built with R34 N1 turbochargers with before and after of 98 and 100 octane shell fuel. Car is used for circuit only. CRD
  6. Im all for freedom of speech and so on.But what peeves me off is when someone gets on a forum flaps their chops off about someone else ,hasnt had the decency to allow the person whom he/she is slagging to inspect or even form an opinion for themselves about a particular subject ie part failure etc. tells us how he/she had the time to show the failed part to 4 different mechanics (whom will probably end up being 2 mates who clean a lawn mower carby as their C/V in the auto world) but couldnt find the time to show the slaggee/slagged to be person what exactly happened. Not necessarily aimed at this thread only but using it as a good example. Jim Souvas CRD Tech Engineer

  8. Running on the rev limiter on a normal power f will cause fuel delivery to cut out!!.Did you mention your fuel system voltage issues previous to the vehicle being tuned. Why dont you mention that i strongly recommended to you that the need to have a nos rpm limit switch so that the nos wouldnt be turned on at very low rpm and cause a backfire and high rpm limit to prevent the nos running incase the vehicle runs on the rpm limit of the ecu. What about the thermostatically controlled nos bottle warmer that you were told you needed to prevent nos pressures varying from 700psi to over 1000psi,a whopping 30 percent variation at the nos nozzle (delivery to the engine). Why dont you add the fact that you picked up the car on friday nightthen on saturday when i saw you againi asked you about the cars performance and you mentioned you had tried it and it was fine.why dont you mention the fact you ran the car without nos on the first pass (low 11 sec run)next run you forget to turn on the awd and ran with nos staying on the rev limiter for sometime before backing off.Its all well and good to point fingers and lay blame to others, but unfortunately you only have yourself to blame. If i recall correctly all you wanted to do was run the car on sunday so you could then sell ti ASAP.(palm it off to some poor unsuspecting person)I also recall you personally bagging the shit out of some of the other shops you have dealt with in the past so i does not suprise me that you started a thread like this and yeah why didnt you/havent you approached us and show us the components you are referring to and tell us what you found. 12. The only negative thing about colder plugs is that they tend to foul up some times when driven around town fairly conservitavely and for most of the time most guys will probably hardly ever use the engines full potential thus the second set of plugs for Andews car after 2000km. But under full power on the track a colder plug is definately more stable than an NGK 6. My understanding is that Andrews vehicle would see a fair bit of track use /club days so hence the decision to run the colder plugs. For daily use and the odd squirt here and there sixes are fine .030 to .035 thou gap i would recommend thou.( less chance of ignition breakdown/spark scatter/pinging ) Hope this helps. 13. Originally i was going to add feed back in regards to various questions regarding Markos GTR, BUT then as i was scrolling through the various responses i noticed a response from A MATE ? who was questioning plug changes/engine oil quality versus tuning a vehicle that will make over 500 hp at the engine or any engine for that matter was validated.??????? Answer to question : Spark plugs are designed with different heat ranges to accomodate for varing cylinder temps so installing for example a plug ( eg NGK platinum/iridium heat range 6) in a Nissan GTR which will make over 550 hp is generally considered to be incorrect.Installing a heat range 8 will be generally a better alternative . Also questioning the validity of the engine oil quality/ oil level especially when the engine is fresh and possibly using thin running in oil should go without saying. An engine tuner is going to spend the next few hours running this thing on the dyno. That in itself should have some logic to it???? As an experienced engine tuner these are the type of questions i need to ask along with others before tuning ANY engine with substance Especially when the engine in question was built/assembled/ installed at other premises. As to my MATE, I was curious to find out who he actually is so i ran through the computer and dug out some invoices which in turn jolted my memory about a particular situation where a " mate " had his engine built somewhere else and brought the car to our shop for running in/tuning the engine. I will say only this . That particular mate that comes to mind had the same questions asked to him , and as was the case , oil /filter was replaced and plugs changed. His oil filter was also cut open to reveal a substancial amount of foreign matter collected in it (metal filings, machine shavings, gasket sealer). As for the costs/ work done , as they say there are always two sides to the story. Difference here is though that i have the complete details of the work performed and correct costing. But as the saying goes THERE ARE ALWAYS TWO SIDES TO A STORY.... As for Markos GTR , his workshop had the experience and foresite to ring me and ask before hand what engine oil and plugs would be best for his engine combo/power output. This is by no means an attack on anybody and not written to be offensive in any way. Just my 2 bobs worth i guess. Jim Souvas Tech Engineer CRD

  15. Hi keith noticed the thread and thought i might be able to help. Looked at the vid .car had major wheelspin on the rear.suspension looked a little stiff at the rear also.looks like you need to apply more drive to the front and dont be affraid to use the clutch a little more off the line.(better to wear a clutch than smash a box ).Tyre pressures sound a little to high though.let the car squat more. I dont know your engine set up ,power output/power band, so im taking a bit of an educated guess from your video. hope to wecome you to the 8 sec club soon GTR R33 8.2 @167mph 1.30 sixty foot best sixty foot 1.28 on shake down pass Jim Souvas Tech Engineer CRD
