I went to summernats with a few mates yesterday..apart from thinking it was pretty tame as a whole we were one of the people pulled into the rta checking/defect station at marulan at about 7:45 am. I was in an old school cressida, apart from sitting low it is bog stock..While we were in there was also a full VIP Celsior (import Lexus LS400) complete with hydraulics, R33 4dr, gtir, vn commodore, vh commodore. The gtir was going through a pretty full on EPA check, exhaust level, emissions etc.. The celsior was getting reemed for everything! Seatbelt tensioners not tensioning, wheels stick out from the guards while the hydraulics are on there lowest oh and btw the wheels were massive dish and stretched on tyres..looked hot! But it wasnt the time or place or complement the owner while 20 coppers and rta officers are going through the whooole car. Anyways, the cressida we were in got a total fine of $420 plus 3 points. Biggest thing was that the front number plate was not displayed correctly..which is just crap, its in the standard position, just slightly bent. Also no horn, one rear number plate light not working, exhaust leak and too low to ground at one point and an apparent oil leak. I did not see what fines and defects the other cars but we were lucky in a way we didn't have to get the EPA check done.. It was just a total revenue raising operation! Also had the sniffer dogs go through us and the car! grrrrr Only highlight of the day was seeing the R32 GTR 'TUFGTR' manage 679hp at the wheels!

I got an article on this in a R32 GTR book I got while in japan.. 220ps/6800rpm Automatic Gearbox E-HNR32 Engine bay looks the same as a RB26DETT but on the turbo side..there ain't no turbo hehe just some big 'tuned length' extractors..

IM pretty sure if it has the E before the BNR32... etc it's a Vspec.

Saw MAD GTR this afternoon turning off the M2 at Windsor Rd. Earlier at that Shell servo, Ruchcutters bay where that GTP 350Z always is, there was a silver coupe V35! Definitely had an 'infiniti' badge on the back of it..No number plates either

You can get pulled over for no reason. They'll breathe test you straight up most times and depending on how you act they could ask you to pop the bonnet etc etc. But thats normally hightway patrol only.

Anyone have any idea what the S/P means on the box? Not sure what forum this would be best in but I thought i'd start here.. Cheers

Hey all, I Just thought i'd add my 2cents. Just about 2 years ago I started going out with a girl who lives in Newcastle. For the first few months that I was heading up there I hardly EVER saw a GTR let alone even a GTST. But lately there's definitely been a big increase which is good to see..cos there's still plenty of bogan commo's up there etc (no offence intended). I was at the meet up in April, but not in my car cos it was off the road. I met a few of you guys and without saying too much as to what car I had everyone was very willing to have a chat abut their cars and what not So basically giving you guys a good rap and if im up that way when this meet up is on i'll come and say g'day..
