hey dude post up a pic when you get them done want to see how good of a job they do beeen thinking about this for my car

yer I have a stud missing from the man when I was changing the turbo back last year, When I removed the heat shield the nut and half the bolt fell off, I was like dam better fix that but doesnt seem to have made a dif so meh. There are a few things this that makes noises that the f**king shitty thing you have to just try and go through the list until its gone at least you know most of the part that where replaced are new lol.

A mate of mine has a 4 door R32 and it made a noise like that turned out to be the Air passing through the Intercooler Pipes LTHLRB: I wouldnt because if the tubo is just hanging off you could make the turbo worse thats what Ive been told by Turbotech. Well GTST25 was correct I looked at the turbo and it was only being held on by two nuts and they where loose also put two more nuts on and made sure they where on tight this time and she is all good PS Does anybody know anything to stop this from happening again? I know its cheap to get more nuts but I dont really want to keep replacing them every 3 or so months

Yer Boost Holds fine only running about 13 PSI

Mine doesnt always happen tho and only when at full boost and when the car is under a lot of strain but yer its a high pitched noise seems like im not the only one with this sort of issue also yes it is imbarrising when you go flying past a car with a screeeeeeeeem comming from the engine

Nasty But what would cause this to happen to a brand new Turbo?

have you tried borrowing a boost controler like that Ebay one, I know you might say WHAT!!!! but I find they hold boost really well worth a try to see if it stops the spike, otherwise for something this extreeme I would be looking at a external wastegate they are heaps better then internal and can give you better control over boost

Its only just started in the last few months and Ive been switching and changing shit, the only thing left to change is the turbo, but before I do this I want to rull something out. It only starts when the engine is under load and doesnt always happen me and my mates have been looking for leaks and we cant seem to find any I have also changed the belts but it seems to be comming from the Turbo side I have pulled all the pipes of and checked the turbo for any play and its still like brand new no movement. Now I put 10w40 Minerial Oil in my car as a test so im hoping this hasnt caused the issue I was a little worried at first. Any Ideas I took it to hyperdrive they said turbo, but they didnt really test anything they just heard the noise, and I took it to another macanic and he said it is possable the turbo, But if thats the case what in the turbo is making the noise? It does sometimes happen when it nutural but not all the time. Also there are two holes on the turbo on the exhaust side, Dont know what they are for but I have put two plugs in one keeps falling out but I think I have this one it tight could this be where the noise it comming from?

What was he smoking at the time and where can I get some?

What you need to consider is what you are setting the car up for, Drift, Drag or Curcit. With that much power I wouldnt go anymore because your car is going to be a bitch to drive on the street, Altho some ppl like that Also have you maxed out the turbo? Maybe you should look at some lumpy cams and do some head work then bump up the boost.

and if you are getting 12psi without the EBC Then thats right, Also really why would you want to drop the PSI its not going to save you any more fuel?

It could be true and if it is he has shit loads of dosh I looked into this for the rb20 and it would cost atm over 20K for the setup through WTF Auto who know loads about this kind of setup just look at there seq TT Supra. Also The Rx7 S7 come out with this sorta setup dont know if they where difrent sized turbo's tho.

Well I need to replace some of the Bushings on the car so I was thinking about going to whole hog... Should I go Nolathans or something else or should I go with stock ones? Want to know the pro's and cons

What ever's cheaper and I mean cheap lol doesnt have to run as long as it will run with a rebuild

I hear ya there is also the RPM issue compaired to the 20/25 or even the 30 I know someone who has a rb30et in a R31 and he said doesnt come close to the rb20det he is even selling the engine and putting a 20 in instead.
