  2. hehe yeah it was me, on my way to Gosford for some fishing. Sounds like you guys had a great time
  3. Hey Slim, I saw your car parked at Maccas today with a heap of other skylines and Type Rs I remember your plate from this forum, just saying hi. Funnily enough my friend has a type R, we were heading up towards the F3 and had brekky at Maccas
  4. Got mine yesterday and put it together last night Not kidding about needing a fine tip soldering iron, those transistors are tiny Works great
  5. Hey dude Payment sent via Paypal, looking forward to delivery Thanks!
  6. Hi all, If anyone has one lying around in good condition. Must be in Sydney area so I can inspect. I want one in good condition, light scratches OK, I am not looking to respray it so it has to be QM1 white (stock). Please call me on 0410 320 947 or PM any time Thanks !
  7. Hey thanks guys Just checked when i got home, followed the cable all the way and it went to the seat belt clip
  8. Comes out of the floor through the carpet under the middle under the drivers seat Oh ok seatbelt sensor, never thought of that Anything else it could be?
  9. Hi all, Sorry if this is a repost but I couldnt find another thread about it. When I was vacuuming under the seats last weekend I found a black cable sticking out through the floor under the driver's seat and going to somewhere to the centre console near the gearstick. Is this common on all R33s? And anyone know off the top of their head what it is? If noone knows I'll take a photo when I get home Thanks
  10. My Uncle owns a Citroen Xsara, bought new. Its a very luxurious car and mechanically its great but its been back for warranty service four times for electrical issues. During that time they gave him a new Alfa Romeo 156 as a courtesy car lol damn that was a sweet car. And yeah on both cars the indicator stalks were on the left which is weird but it only took a few hours to get used to, but I bet I looked like an L plater at the start when I kept activating the windscreen wipers
  11. My brother bought a 180SX last week, its the later model 96 and the only upgrade I can see is upped boost and an aftermarket turbo, exhaust and filter. I dont think even he knows whats been done to it, he paid 15k for it and its a sweet car indeed. Its hard to admit but I think it goes faster than my car, but mine's pretty stock. Driving it hard I felt genuinely in fear for my life, it goes ballistic at full boost whereas in my car I felt alot more in control if i floored it. That and the 180 had a tendency to steer to the left but thats a small wheel alignment problem I mentioned to him. Overall though I much prefer driving my skyline, it just feels more right and safer at speed. Also I thought skyline interiors were boring, the 180 is actually worse, the centre console in the 180 is much too high so my elbow knocks it when changing gears. It has a nice carbon fibre dash though, not sure if its real or not, but the Skyline interior is much nicer and roomier. Agree too about the build quality theres no comparison, the Skyline seems to be built with alot more care. Still, I think the 180 is a fantastic car
  12. I bought one today, designed for the Ford EL harness - ACA brand Part number ROX207 at Bankstown Repco for $65. It actually has Denso Japan stamped on the actual sensor and looks alot like an oversized spark plug. It has two black and one Blue wire. I took it to my mechanic and he didnt want to install it saying 1 -its not a nissan part and 2 - harness is wrong so looks like I'm doing this myself tomorrow. He also insists that the original o2 sensor is fine and if its broken the check engine light would turn on. But I want better fuel economy than the 350k's I'm getting. I'm going to solder the wires myself as I do some electrical work. I'll take SkylineCouple's advice - Blue goes to Brown and the two Blacks goes to the two whites. I'll post back my results next week after driving it for a bit. FYI my car is very lightly modded only so far, engine wise its just exhaust, filter and boost
  13. Yeah Bank cheque, i second that and cash it asap You need your rego papers. On the back there should be a car disposal notice thing, its a form. Fill it out and sign it and get the buyer to sign it too. If you want to be nice, you can put down a lower sale price on the form so the buyer will pay a lower transfer tax when he transfers the registration to his name (I think its 3% of agreed sale price).
  14. Yeah thats true, could be a monster under the hood in those gemmies. But you get the idea
  15. I dont see it as a waste, until when it comes time to sell it lol Still, by that time it would have given me years of driving pleasure, and I'm much more satisfied driving a car that I actually want to drive. I reckon its fine, as long as you're not struggling to pay for the mortgage or because of the car. I also think you have to put the base car into consideration when spending money on it, like for example I always cringe when I $500 geminis with $2000 rims
  16. Looks very nice, but I think the designers have been watching too much I Robot hehe Kind of dissapointed, its more Ferrari than Japanese
  17. I loved the opening sequence to 2f2f too, its just downright cool. The rest was average. What other movies can inspire quotes like these "Swat came into my house, and kicked my dog" "I give my wife a quarter inch at a time, for those ten seconds or less, I'm free"
  18. I have a similar setup to you black_gtst where the bov is welded to the piping that goes to the intercooler and a blanking plate put in where the stock bov was. I get exhaust pops now like you but the car doesn't stall. You'll need to adjust your bov so the spring inside is tighter. My hks one has an adjustable nut that does it, it might be a similar thing on your Blitz
  19. I wish my m-spec was tuned by Mines I doubt thats what M-Spec stands for though Demon, I'd love to know though, does anyone? I've been told V-Spec stands for Victory Spec (I could be wrong)
  20. hi Dark Mine did not come with ABS, its a series 1 (i think)
  21. I'm with RyanN, when I fill up, the needle stays at past full for ages, maybe like 80-100kms before it decides to drop quickly very suddenly. I avg 350kms cruising the suburbs. On holiday trips I get 400-430Km because of the long hwys (needle being just above Empty) BTW I always reset my trip counter every time I fill up
  22. I'm intrigued too, why do you want to make it run richer? I guess an easy and free way is to junk the O2 sensor. The engine will sense this and run richer by default to protect itself. This will ruin your fuel economy though, as if R33's arent thirsty enough already. I've never tried this so correct me if I'm wrong anyone
  23. This happens to me too, but only seems to be in the evenings. I usually dont bother its not worth the fines and demerits. I got a big scare when a stock looking magna pulled up against me, revved the engine and egged me on. I only beat him by half a car length because I didnt bother to launch. Turns out it was a VRX lol.
  24. My first was a 1.3L '93 Charade, used to cost me $20 for a full tank and took me to uni and back no problems. I used to think it was the bomb too yo, but in a good way hehe. This was when petrol was 67 cents a litre. loved that car Next car was Eunos 30X that was hella fun but I had constant power craving Back to topic, if I wanted a first car now I'd kill for a teg VTiR
  25. Where abouts are you from? If sydney, then Autojoy in Parra 2 red ones, they have AXS branded ones but I got the one with no logos. I think they were $35 each, no logo or $40 with. Mate of mine got personalised ones for his SSS where they sew whatever logo or lettering you want, he got it from carmate on Villawood road. I noticed it was the same material too, pretty high quality and looks hard wearing. Another guy I know got Snap on branded ones, they were $70 each He had to buy it off a snap on techo who travels around in a van
