  1. guys, after a cheap s13 (silvia or 180)

    it can be turbo or non turbo, sr or ca and manual or auto. doesnt matter just want one cheap.

    motor can be clagged although i'd prefer not.

    body doesnt have to be showroom although the straighter the more attractive.

    i just need one as a donor. help us out if you can

    i live a bit west of brisbane.

  2. price is $300 for the gtr injectors. condition is fine although i havn't had them flow tested, they came out of a running gtr and were only pulled out as they were replaced by sard 720cc items.

    the microtech came from a running rb20det so is a 6 injector/spark output unit. it includes/sliced into a rb20 wiring lume.

    now that you mention it i am unsure as to whether its a lt8s or ltx8s (as its at a mate house, sorry guys but i will find out for sure)

    i was under the impression the lt8 and older mtx8 were the 4 output units whereas the lt8s was the 6 cylinder unit. but in saying that i've seen a lt8 used on a r32 gtr.

    anyway it works with and came from a rb20

    also included: r32 crossmember, engine mounts, gearbox mount, tailshaft, radiator

    all parts included add up to almost a complete front cut

    prefer to sell it all together or if to different buyers most parts at once

  4. a higher RON is just a higher resistance to preignition (knock).

    tune your car to 98RON (Ultimate, Optimax, Vortex, Synegy) and add a octane booster if you want when you venture to the track or go for a fast cruise with the boys just as an added safety factor. otherwise yeah, "re-evaluate your requirements of your vehicle"

  5. mate uses 2x12in fans on his rb25, works fine. using a thermo switch off the ignition so the fans only come on for bout 8 secs at idle.

    i'm using 1x10in and 1x12in on my rb20 (in a 180sx) running straight off ignition and it stays just under halfway on the dodgy stock temp gauge.

    another mate has 1x16in davies craig fan. it sucks alot of air and at idle only stays on for a few seconds. only thing is it uses so much power the motor struggles to idle. he has it running straight off a thermo switch so it has the added wank factor of staying on after the car is turned off.

    in my opinion twin thermos are more efficient than one due to the greater surface area

    what ppl say bout a standard fan bein better than thermos is in most cases refered to as without a shroud where the heatsoak of the engine negates the effect from the bigger fans

  6. Intalling my cooler on Friday and might need to cut some of my front bar.

    Any1 know any helpful hints for cutting fibreglass. Never done it before.

    Ie what tool should i use, should i sand it after, anything u can add will be helpfull

    i hav done it quite a few times on various cars. i found the best method is to use a jigsaw with a sharp blade. sounds dodgy/hackjob but actually comes up pretty neat with a bit of sanding.

    could also use a stanley knife but harder to get straight cuts etc.

  7. mate jus swapped his riced out lancer for a twin turboed vr commo ute.runs 300zx turbos and haltech and alledged internals.

    supposed to have 340hp at the treads but runs like a dog atm. with a tune and a bit of sorting it may be alright. would have thought the 300zx turbos (t25??) would have been a bit small for a 3.8L. it makes 10psi at like 2000rpm.

    that would be a weapon of a bimmer overev1
