  2. I bought some wheels and tyres that have been repaired.. the tyres still have sidewall buldges. I'm not happy about it but i'm in the situation where i have tyres that I paid for and I'd like to use them. I contacted the seller and he gave the details of the tyre repairer. After a quick discussion with the repairer, he tells me the repairs are 100% legit <_< and he has no problems giving me a waranty, which he promptly faxed me. If these tyres blow out and its due to his repairs does this mean he is liable for the damage the tyres caused? and therefore responsible to pay to have the damages repaird? Any lawyers out there!?   3. smoove, you'll notice those wheels pictured have 6 spokes where as TUF31 has stated the ones he is selling have 5.
  4. How long is a piece of string? you ask the question "...how much damage a FMIC take.." which is an imposible question to answer. Intercoolers these days as Nathan has implied are so cheap these days that repairing them is really nonsensical. Because they are so intricately constructed with thin walls and fine louvres for better heat transfer they are hard to repair properly. I'd say if the cooler is leaking obviously it needs to be replaced. If its bent then thats really only cosmetic and therefor it'd be your call. If it has a large area of damage where the fins have been folded over and no longer flows air then the intercooler isn't doing its job and obviously due for replacement. It's a tedious job but you can straighten each individual fin/folded louvre with a fine tip like a seal pick or flat blade screwdriver. Just use your common sense.
  5. Where's the filler bung located on an R32? I've got a GTR i put it up on the hoist and went to change the dif oil and couldnt find it!! I got over it as I was in a hurry and neglected to change my oil during my 100k service recently.
  6. These ones actually do something. If your driving sedately they close some what, and blink. Then when your fanging it, they squint and give your car a more concentrated or focused look.. Then if they see other R32s particularly the GTR model or if they detect hot bitches near by... they wink! I've got a set. MAD

  8. I'm chasing wheels for my R32.. preferably forged R34 gtr wheels.. If not somthing similiar like buddy clubs, or anything reasonable or cheap.. CR KAIs, TCMs, TE37s, volk, work, rays, etc etc. What have you got? Anyone know where to get second hand wheels cheap? i'm after somthing decent.. i can get brand new volk look alike advantis for around $1600 with tyres but i'm after somthing of reasonably good quality and light weight too. Please let me know if you have rims or a place to search!!!!!!!!!! Cheers. Robbo.

  11. I'm after an R32 GTS-4 clutch slave. I'm undergoing a transmission conversion from auto to manual.. And the gearbox i got didn't come with a clutch slave.. So I'm chasing one.. I looked at an R33 GTS-t and it looked the same as the one missing from my manual gts-4 gearbox, i.e. 2 bolts on the bottom of the slave. So i'm hoping they're interchangable.. Anyone know forsure that they are the same? If you have one laying around please contact me. If anyone has ever done this conversion I'd love it if you could contact me and share any info/experience. A mate of mine is getting an R32 GTS-4 and its auto (no offence to auto owners ) With the car he's getting a complete manual gearbox, pedals, plastic trims, etc. How much of a mission is this going to be? Will the Engine ECU flip out with a manual? What about the attessa system? Do nissan have different transmission computers for auto and for manual? Anyone embarked on this conversion before? How much of a mission is it going to be? Any info would be muchly appreciated. Cheers Thanks Robbo.

  15. I've recently found one of my rims has a crack in it! I'm looking for a replacement.. anyone got any idea where I should start looking? or even better still anyone got one spare Because they are 3 piece, how easy are they to disasemble, one of my other rims has a bit of a buckle so it'd be great to be able to buy one spare then replace the center on one and the outer rim on another!   17. I've got these marks on my dash that looks like somthing has been sitting or mounted on my dash for some period of time. I've only seen them in my GTR, but apparantly they are common and are from a TV screen that was mounted from the factory. I'm too lazy to take decent pics of these marks to upload and show you so i've got a rough picture drawn. Now, i've browsed countless of pictures of GTRs when I was looking at importing one, and I've never seen anything mounted there, so if they are standard (which I dont beleive) they mustnt have been very popular. Anyone know what that shape is? I'm assuming its from some sort of gauge or controller, maybe an AVCR, SAFC or EBC. If need be i'll take some pictures of the actual mark. Anyone got any ideas what that mark would be from?! Cheers. Robbo

  19. As a bit of a side question.. Anyone know where to get a 2into1 airflow meter adapter for putting a big single onto a gtr? I've seen them before, I think GReddy make them? Where can I get one and what are they worth? Cheers.
  20. Sorry to hijack your thread mate . But I'm contemplating which turbo to get aswell. And I've got a GTR too, and I was told by a reputable turbo supplier who really seems to know what he's talking about, that a GT3040 would be better suited to my 26 than a GT35R. He suggested this after I told him that I'd be taking it in the bitumen sprints next season so I'm not after anything too laggy, not a big number chasing dyno/drag setup. But I've got a mate who's got a 35R on an RB25 he's running a .6 exaust housing and it snaps on boost really hard. I was thinking it would probably be the better choice, seeing as how wheel spin isnt as much of a concern. But I was going to get the .8 exaust housing instead, to slow down the spool a bit and also to give it a little more up top seeing as how they love to rev out. My plan was to get a manifold and gate off 6Boost Kyle, and then convert to a big single. It's not a dedicated circuit car though, and I love the lag->spool kick in the pants as much as the next bloke. Anyone got opinions? Cubes? R31Nismoid? Cheers.
  21. I had the exact same problem and it was a faulty PTU, which is the little box on the back of the coil covers. That said it could also be a coil pack though.
  22. SlimVL: Increasing a stroke increases displacement, regardless of deck height. B0oStEr: "Poor torque and high piston speed" If an RB30DET is proclaimed as a torque monster, and its torque is due to it's stroke, then why would you consider the exact same bore and stroke to have poor torque? And do shorter rods really give a greater piston speed? Sydneykid thanks very much.. I knew there was a reason why people didnt do it.. just couldn't think of what it would be. I had the idea in my head and I could only see positives! All the benefits of the 25, all the power and torque of a 30, only even more revs due to lighter/smaller rods. Ohwell, scratch that idea... 30 block it is then. Robbo.
  23. I've got a 2 mates who are both building RB30DET hybrids. I've been wondering, if its possible to put an RB30 crank into an RB25DET block, with the appropriate rods. RB30E - 86mm bore and 85mm stroke. RB25DET - 86.0mm bore and 71.7mm stroke. The reasons I'd like to use the crank rather than the whole RB30 block are that; - I'd like to retain the oil squirters from the 25 block. - Also because the engine is destined for an R33, if we use the RB25 block we won't have to worry about slotting engine mounts, or cutting bonnets. - No dramas about VCT oil galleries - And finally it will be easier to organize the timing belt. So why don't people do this method more often? Is it because finding rods to suit will be hard and/or expensive? Thanks Robbo.

  25. Anyone know roughly what standard GTRs put out at the wheels? BNR32s for instance? What do most stock 15 year old GTRs ramp up these days?
