  1. and it doesn't end with GT-R's either TJ. When I went to Bathurst last year, the EVO's absolutely creamed ANYTHING in the production races - Porsches, Lambos, Lotus, HSV. The gap would close on the big straights, but the time the EVO gained up through the top of the mountain (paticularly Skyline) cancelled out any lost advantage in top speed. Was awesome to watch, and the above was often the view every single time they approached my vantage point!
  2. the thing that's always turned me off EVO's is they remind me too much of Lancers (funny that hey!). But with the right amount of tasteful exterior mods, they can look bombed...
  3. will check mah box of old goodies when i get home for ya champ. Pretty sure I still got mine. What is your current ecu doing to make you think it's faulty?

  5. Hahhahhhaa…you’re kidding me right? I don’t even turn a second glance at 90% of Skylines these days, simply due to the amount of sh*tty, flogged out, boong spec versions out there, of which most could be easily had on welfare wages.
  6. yeah it's got the rego [DEATHWSH], Black VZ SS...an animal.
  7. LNG plant Karratha. Very good spot to live, easily the pick of most other remote spots to work. Mint diving and fishing here, decent crumpet, semi decent pubs….and (believe it or not) a few pretty hot cars too. I do 4 on 1 off. Rent is horrendous though, meaning single mans camp or caravan the only viable option for most, unless you’re loaded and can afford 1K per week to rent.
  8. when I had my GT-R, Imports101 rebuilt an OS Giken twin plate for me. No probs with it at all.
  9. LNG 5 ftmfw Been here for 6 months now, best job I’ve been on since I’ve been up this way (4 yrs), good conditions, good pay and Karratha definitely the pick of the mining towns to be in, although that’s if your lucky enough to score a house. With the construction & mining industry, the old cliché “its not what you know…” applies 10 fold, and it becomes a bit of a joke. I’ve seen 18 y.o’s who’ve barely even touched a spanner get on site, simply because their old mans either a supervisor or manager. To me that’s pretty f*cked when there’s a pile of skilled blokes lining up ready to work. I know you’ve gotta start somewhere, but for me, site is not the place.
  10. Where exactly did he 'moan', as you put it?
  11. Uh huh, trust he's looking after it Tom.
  12. Appears I sold my 32 R at the wrong time a few months back. Took a bit less than I should have, plus I still get calls for it now….just the other day a dude actually wanted to track it down through the new owner….ah well, can’t win em all
  13. Opinions sought, fellow Skyliners. Got my eye on buying a 34 GTR just after tax time, but have also been pondering if I should perhaps wait to see what impact the arrival of V35 GT-R has on the 34. Anyone think it’s going to make a big difference to the cost of the outgoing model (the R34) ????. Couple have mates have suggested it won’t make a difference for quite some time, possibly over a year.
  14. Sunway ftw. Beware though, car modification in Malaysia is expensive, therefore don’t expect to get quality bits cheap (as I found out), you will be disappointed. Nengun / Greenline is way cheaper. Went to Brothers also, looks good from the front…lol, inside lots of crap everywhere, mainly just tacky stuff to bolt onto your Proton (of which there are eleventy billion of in KL).
