  1. Trying to talk to him on MSN but hes not at his computer :-P
  2. Sure its on my VIN plate :-P Its dark out, but I'm sure I can manage to locate it for you if you like? May I ask why?
  3. NATRA? Nelson, New Zealand (top of South Island). I said to the radiator dude that i'm sure a MR one would fit and he didnt have a clue what i was talking about. ..I was thinking maybe a Pintara one would fit? But as its a r31 i guess its a long shot. Its weird that in the catalouges he had it only showed 87-91 Skylines and then it just said Skyline GTR too (theres soo many GTRs so wtf....?) I'm going to another place tomorrow which apparently may be able to help me.
  4. My radiator finally has a crack in it. No Radiator Shop in Nelson has anything that is compatable. Aparently the radiator in my car is a real oddball....and has a weird mounting setup. What will fit into the hr30 with a l20et? Anyone know, i'm in serious need of advice here. Regards, George
  5. the photo on this page is pretty good. look at the random Nissan Prince or is it a Paul Newman sticker at the bottom right of my car. It has some funky japanese writing on it too. Ill post a close up pic soon... Rear Shot with NP stickerhttp://community.webshots.com/photo/412793839rFvpXB
  6. Hey all. Weird question I have. But i need some help. I have a 83 Skyline with a L20et in it currently and a Auto Gearbox. I always have overdrive on as it feels smoother. But over drive doesnt seem to be activated the engine reaches a certain operating temperature (the overdrive button is always on). It used to be ok because my temp would get up to about half on the gauge and jsut under half was when the overdrive kicked in and did its thing. But now i'm using WaterWetter in my radiator (after lots of overheating problems using Glycon) and my Temperature is nice and low sitting just over 1/4 on the gauge. But therefore my overdrive doesnt seem to be working. Anyone seen this problem before? Can I adjust the overdrives activation somehow so it comes on at lower a lower engine temp? Regards, George
  7. Nick, you thought your L20et was bad. Well I lost to a Civic yesterday. Like the model before a EF3 but saying that my motor blew up 45 mins later....*sad*
  8. I know what your're getting at. But that website is Japanese, and I hate to say it but alot of cars that are still modern to us are old news to the Japs.
  9. I've got heaps of Pics up of my car now at a online webshots album Enjoy! Regards, George
  10. I found this before Nissan Museum Its not that informative unless you can read japanese (it may not display if you dont have Japanese Encoding) I thought it was pretty cool. Photos that are in car makers brouchers and on websites always look so mint :-) Regards, George
  11. What can everyone tell me about the S20??
  12. I had to use L28 gaskets on my L20et when it blew. they were made by AGL i think the company is, aussie company so should be pretty easy to find. Or like the guys said L20A but I couldnt find that set where i live in NZ
  13. I can get you one for like $30 nick. Let me know on MSN
  14. I've got about 4 of these carbs in my shed, let me know what bits you need. THey're all off 2L cortina motors, its not difficult to convert manual choke to auto choke; vice versa. Like I said, let me know what bits your after and ill have a rummage through some old carbs. Or you could buy the couple of Twin Solex 42mm Sidedrafts that I have sitting next to me:P At the moment its got a manifold for a 2L Pinto SOHC (Cortina Motor) Just read how u said you dont feel like hunting downs parts for a 30 year old carb. On ebay australia there is a store called MLP Carburettors also just so your know carby bits are EASY to get. Just look under your loacal yellow pages and find a Carb Specialist
  15. Nick my r31 used to haul ass and i had done was put on a podfilter, remapped ecu, extractors and a more free flowing exhaust. WHen dynoed It was putting out 75kw at the rear wheels with 500Nm Torque which isnt much kw but alot of torque and it was extremely loud! Keep in mind what other people have said about the mods, for all you know that R31 Could've had a Rb30 Block with a DOHC head and a huge turbo....so yeah. I know what u mean tho its kinda gutting when you find out your L20et isnt that fast. My mates twin 45mm sidedrafted 2l cortina is even with my car...
  16. Yeah theres too many threads on it, can you please try to find the one your're referring to for me and give me a link? Cheers
  17. i might go get myself some gtst front brakes then :-) what coil overs did you use?
  18. shit they're worth a bit in aussie....i saw a sillhoute here for sale the other day for $300 with no reg or wof. I laughed....was expensive if you ask me. Are they really worth that much!? Whats a factroy standard HR-30 Paul Newman Version Coupe worth in Aussie?
  19. Ummm it might not be the pump guys (but i dunno if its carbed or efi), this happend to my car and was off the road for 3 months while i was diagnosing the problem and trying to get it started. The problem was the Fuel Pump Computer under the rear parcel tray. Try replacing that and see if you have any luck. Started first time for me after i replaced that.
  20. i always thought i needed the dump pipe off the RB Turbo for the RB Turbo upgrade on the L20et....*sigh* skylinesdowunder informed me incorrect again....
  21. Indeed there was. There was a Paul Newman Version HR-30 Skyline, it featured a nicer looking interior than most r30s, including a embroided Paul Newman Signature on the seats, also on the steering wheel. The P.N.V. also has a R200 LSD, and theres rumours it has a worked head. My one also has a factory turbo timer, electronicly adjustable dampers and a seat with ari bags in it for adjusting Lumber, Lower Back and Thighs Anyway, there is a badge that is the Paul Newman signature and under it says Version in very small letters. Heres a Picture of it Thats the badge im after. I know its a long shot but worth a try. Heres a pic of the rear of hr-30 p.n.v. , it doesnt do it any justice as i took a PXT with my phone but it looks pretty nice when you see it in person. Regards, George
