Yeah....i got about 30rwhp from the tune / plugs / advance. everytime they advanced it a lil more i got a few more horses but they just stopped and that was the end of it. Another thing....when they were dynoing it, there was a guy holding a steel rod which looked to be between the head and the block and was holding this to his ear as the other guy was revving the car...is this done to listen for detonation? i forgot to ask AND....sorry How would i know if there is detonation. What sorta power should i be getting @ the wheels out of my RB20DET ECCS with the following mods : * 3 inch dump pipe into a 3 inch hi-flow cat, 3.5 inch zorst from the cat back * 10 psi of boost * k & n pod type air filter I got it dynoed and wasnt too impressed with the outcome, not that i was expecting big horsepower but this wasnt much of an improvement from the standard power output. I got 160hp @ the wheels. You guys reckon this is a pretty accurate reading or is the something wrong with the car? cheers sLo

Just had a dyno tune on my car with the new plugs i got. The timing was also advance and now the car idles ALL over the place! The car randomly pops on idle...rev range is not consistant, goes up and down and even stalls sometimes Is this normal and can advancing the timing cause any damage? cheers sLo

Red top??? are you sure. I was under the impression that the Silver Top has more power?

Curios as to whether there is a way to tell a silver top rB20det to a red top RB20det other then the colour of the rocker Is there any distinguishing features in the engine bay / or maybe even inside the cabin And wot is the difference between the 2 thats makes the silver top more powerful? sLo

I was just wondering whether the ECU's are the same for a manual and auto r32? I have a R32 that was converted to a manual in japan and it idles all over the place....and has even stalled once or twice just wondering whether the mapping of this is different therefore affecting the way the car should be running? Well i'm still learning about these things so all input would be greatly appreciated! sLo :newbie:
