  1. Wanting to replace my stock front bar from my R33 GTS-T series one with a new 400R bar - prefer non painted and in A1 condition, trying to get out of this as cheaply as possible so just over $400 bucks, maybe $450 but no higher. Hit a shredded truck tyre on the way home the other night and did some considerable damage to passanger side of my bar... so instead of forking out money to get this fixed i might as well start over with a newie bar!!! Prefer Melbourne area as it's only 3 hour drive, not like Sydney which is 6 hours. If anyone can help send me a pm, preferably with pic, Cheers!!
  2. what are u wanting it to do.... just drive your car speakers, just drive a sub or a combination of both, do u want 1,2,3,4 or five channels??? I'm going for a alpine v12 700w digital amp - don't know the model no. it's two channels but that's all i need to run the 12" alpine sub that going with it - sorry i couldn't be more help by the way... the amp retails for $399 from autobarn not to bad for a alpine amp, + u should be able to haggle a bit more of that as well, add a $200+ sub to it and u'll be kicking it up :-)
  3. yeah i've got one of those as well - awersome head unit, pretty much the same complaints as the other guys though, couldn't be happier with it and i can justify spending the money that i did cause it really is worth it!!! paid $1050 from autobarn at one of their sales a few months ago... i was pretty happy with that price then as it was something like $500 bucks off rrp. In relation to why it takes so long to load mp3's, i'm pretty sure it's got something to do with the fact that it - the headunit - rebuilds the mp3 or more the wave of the song to give a clearer song - was told this by the rep from autobarn when i enquired about the new alpine 2003 headunits and he said that they do the same thing which is why they also take a fair while to load a mp3 song. I final thing... i wish it had some more screensavers though... they are so cool :-)
  4. yeah i've got the exact thing on my R33, there is one under both the passanger and driver's seats, so seeing that they are useless as seatbelt warnings, can they be hooked up to something that needs 12V, eg. neons or a sub - just curious??
  5. the seven point car alarm that KamikazeR33 is refering to is really a six point, i don't think he can count??? (it's cool i work with him), it's the Brant Nemesis model car alarm, it's worth $1098 installed or so i hope on Monday when it get's installed on my monster :-) It features: Remote codehopping operation + BRANTS famous PIN code entry system Six (6) engine immobilisers Dual siren system (one self powered siren outside – one inside) Ultrasonic movement detectors + 2 stage impact shock sensors Keyless entry Electric window operation (option) Remote panic Passive immobilisation Auto rearm in case of accidental switch off False alarm lockout Detects intrusion via doors, boot/hatch, bonnet, windows, sunroof + immobilises the engine in 6 places. And much more… then there's all the options u can put on if u got the $$$, pager system etc.... http://www.brant.com.au/html/nemesis.htm hope this helps

  7. didya get my last PM? and yep i probably will go for a safc before a b/c but i'm just trying to get some idea of places to look at whilst i'm down there - i'm going to mainly concentrate on my sound setup after my alarm is fitted on monday, once i get that good then it'll a safc and b/c
  8. hey everyone, Just a quick question, can anyone tell me some good places to find some parts for skylines in melbourne preferably eastern suburbs or city but doesn't have to be - looking for A'Pexi safc or boost controller, or even shops who sell cheap Pioneer subs and good quality Amps (Alpine, Pioneer, Fusion etc.). Cheap is what i'm looking for - so anything cheaper then places such as Autobarn, Strathfield etc would be fantastic as i already know what their prices are. Cheers :uh-huh:
  9. i'm totally with KamikazeR33 there esp. because u are 18 and have no insurance, i'd spend or are spending $1k+ on security because i can't afford reduclious insurance and premiums, i'm pretty much in the same boat as u 19 stock R33, no insurance. I reckon get the car secure and then worry about everything else!
  10. Anything that u can send at the moment would be fantastic!!!! [email protected] or [email protected] Cheers!!!!
  11. Hey Guys. Just a quick question, i took possession of a new HKS turbo timer today (type 1), but unknowningly when i get it home to read the instructions on how to install it on Sunday, there all in Japanese - i think??? anywayz just wondering if there is anyone out there that can tell me where to get the english instructions for it so i can fit it to my R33 gtst. I found the instructions of the HKSUSA site, and they are great except for the fact they tell u how to fit it to almost every other model of car except a skyline!!! Any help on this subject would be fantastic.......
