  1. when my car is cold i have normal free play and pick up point through the clutch pedal... nothing strange, but as the car warms up the pick up point starts to move up, until there is absolutly no free play, the clutch is a 2 month old 7 puck exedy with chrome molly lighted flywheel. the strange thing is that if it starts to rain or i drive over standing water the clutch goes back to normal, free play comes back and the pick up point moves back to normal as if the cooling effect of the water somehow changes something, but once it stops raining problem comes back. i can still drive the car its just a pain in traffic or on up hill starts. ive changed fluid and the clutch is not slipping ive also had numerous clutch specialists look at it but to no avail. any thoughts
  2. hey al... the turbo was 2nd hand off a mate who had it for less then 2 months its an AVO bolt on costing 3100 brand new!!! i didnt pay that much got it for 800 with dump he's main bearing went so he upgraded hens cheap price and i am happy with how the car runs, nice and smooth without much lag would just like a lillte more not too much to ask for is it! might go back in 2 weeks, but got to remember how to drive !!!!!   3. turners not sure but thinks the turbo may be out of flow? not using electronic one just a cheep daul stage one which has been holding nice steady boost for 3 years now....
  4. if i can recall i have around 1.5 to 2 psi pres drop. will try the things you have mentions next week....
  5. not sure if if a lightend flywheel does anything for power??? clutch isnt slipping ill try to find someone to test my cooler, hoping that will be the problem. if not ill might have to look into porting, manifolds and or cams cheers
  6. my aim is 250 so hoping internal will hold plenium is standard and standard clutch fan, i have all standard heat shelds over the turbo and a good cold air intake system, i also have all suporting mods including pump and reg and james i want both power and drivability dont we all!!! thanks for the reply

  8. thanks paulr33 good idea ill have to try that. i was also thinking of doing a flow test on my intercooler, do you know who does them???
  9. exhaust is 3" one piece dump/front high flow cat, 3" rest of the way with an extra muffler the exhuast is quite 91db at 4800 not sure if that makes a difference??
  10. Havent got adj cam gears, wat kind of gains could i expect for them??? we have tried advancing but again the knock levels start to get up there. cheer
  11. hi guy, i currently own a 94 R33 gtst. and am (was) aiming for around 250rwkw. i currently have 225rwkw@ 15psi using a claimed 450hp T04 with PFC, 550cc Z32 ect ect... engine is unopened. now the problem i have is that if i try to run more boost the knock levels start to increase... af/r are perfect 11.9 to 12.1 but is not making much more power on higher boost setting... i still believe the turbo can reach my goals.... but am now starting to wonder what else could be holding me back???? intercooler, exhuast, manifolds ???????? what do you guys think???
  12. hey there different types of flashes mean different thing eg: 2 flashes per second may be knock 3 per sec may be air flow and 4 per sec may be injector max (not 100% sure on the number of flashes for each item) however you can disable this function i think its under the 'warning' section there will be writting(japenese) next to each setting just change it to the other character by pressing up or accross on your hand controller hopefull that helps

  17. hey there guys need some help... i have 3 snapped exhaust mainfold studs and was just wondering if anyone knows of any mobile thread repairs. im in melbourne and have had no luck in finding anyone thanks
  18. i ride it a little. best way to explain would be that i let the clutch go in one fluid motion over a period of about a second or a bit less.
  19. i have 225rwkw and got a 13.5 at 109mph... 60 foot 2.3 on 235/45/17 then the next week went back (same set up) and managed 13.1 at 110mph then went back and got 12.71 at 111mph 60 foot of 1.93 on the same tyres... just go back and practice... by the way i launch at 6 grand hope that helps
  20. i found the problem today.. faulty wiring behind the ignition barrel....
  21. craved i have a fuel press gauge so yes im sure and u can normally hear the pump when key is on acc.... but this is not happening at the moment. the lights on the dash do not come on (key on acc) or while cranking and turbo time doesnt come on when key is in acc possition either... is there any way of checking if power is going into and out of the ecu??? ill be putting my pfc back in later on this week,
  22. hey sumo ill be checking all the conections tomorow. (but the head lights and radio work) why wouldnt the windows work?????? or the turbo timer???? that stuff isnt connected to the ecu is it...??? i have a feeling it could be the ecu or a short somewhere along the power lead (as you stated) or both...
  23. ok guys some background first... i got epa'd.... i have a s1 r33 gtst, before i went to the epa i re-installed the std turbo+ecu+injectors+air flow metre ect ect and started her up. all working fine. took it for a test drive no more then 500 metre and she just died on me(no smoke no sounds). i tried to start her again and nothing... tried again and she started fine so i drove home, kept the car running for about 30 min with no strange signs. next day i drove to epa (about 45min) and passed.... no more then 5 min after i left it happened again but this time she wouldnt start (tow truck home) ok so... -the engine cranks -all fuses are fine -dont get fuel pressure (fuel pump fine) -windows dont work -none of the dash warning light up -turbo timer does no light up -alarm works -radio+lights work any ideas would be great
  24. hey guys we currently play no limit wed nights, we have 7 players at the moment 30 minimum buyin... with no buyin limit we are after 2-3 more poeple to make a full table. last wed the pot got to 1280 1st place gets all the money with 10% to the house for beer and stuff any interest pm me wat a combo fast cars and royal flushs
