Hi Guys I cant seem to find a boost controller intallation diagram for r33.I am taliking about the one that can be purchased from SAU for $35.I looked everywhere, it just doesnt come up.Maybe i am missing something as how to navigate this site, who knows.Anyway i am desperate to install it. What do you recknon is the one that stands out appart from apexi.I was having a look at Blitz SBC Spec S which is single solenoid boosting upto 1.2 bars. Seems very good, the down side is being a single solenoid.If you've got any suggestions please advise me of it Thank you

Hey all the GTR'S are really nice.Now i really do have a feeling that many sources tend to undermine r33 tiny bit.Look it is roomier car, to my taste it beats the look of r32 any time. Interior is much better in r33 and overall looks alot better. I m certainly not canning r32 as it is a damn mighty car. Now regarding r33 missing the performance. Here is something interesting if you look at performance stock to stock, R32 comes ahead of r33 and r34 0-100 and 1/4 mile.Ok now you think whay would u pay 10 grands or more for R33 or R34 when i get more with R32. Well if you start modifying you will soon realise that scale quickly turns the other way around and R32 comes last.Remember 33 and 34 are newer, newer and more sophisticated engines, turbos ecu's attessa systems.Who ever tells you that they arer all the same the talk sh......t. At the end of a day as said previously it is a matter of taste and convinience.As mentioned r33 broke Nurburgring record in 1995 and that should be telling you something about this "Unexillerating car"

Hi guys I have just had a 2.5 inch exhaust installed on my r33 gtst.It is straight through to turbo no cat converters.It looks and sounds allright.What i am wondering is how safe and supose is it big enough to up the boost to say 12 psi.Mind you that appart from the exhaust i have a pod, front mount and a boost controller.Any help would be great

dude, i'm quite interested Would it be a straight fit on r33. Would you know what are the gains power wise with the front mount and boost controller. Also is ther any shaft play or any other issues with the turbo? By the way im in melb as well

Hi guys I know this has been covered so many times but i didnt seem to be able to find a thread on how to install a front mount on r33.Any graphs or instructions would be really great.Also when i bought the cooler, dude told me something about needing to bypass my boost solenoid.My car has not been boosted so I am just wondering what he was on about. Hi guys I have just purchased a front mount intercooler and am looking at installing it myself.When i bought it a guy told me something about if having a boost solenoid i would need to bypass it.My r33 is stock standard not running any boost so I am just wondering if ther is anything i need to pay attention to.Also i did not find any instructions as how to instal a front mount.If any of youz could send some info, instructions etc, that would be fantastic. Hi Guys Justa quick one I have got gts-t series two, car is absoulutely mint, having said that my oil pressure gauge does not move at all.When the car is off it stays half way, when the car is running it goes furhter up. I have not noticed any probs as the engine runs really smooth, good on power, boost etc. Just wondering how serious or how hard is it to have it fixed, or what has coused the gauge to trip out. Even though this has been covered so many times I will try to shed some light to you chosen one. Look they are both good cars(daa everybody knows that) I am speaking from experince as i had both series 1 r33 and 94 180sx. Know im expecting a new car in a matter of days and guess what it is: 1997 skyline series 2 with the mods. Nissan 180sx:Good sides: Lighter speed kicks in without smoothness hence you feel the power quite well, very fast even stock, respond great to mods, personally would go for the black top as they are more refined, cost less then r33. Bad sides: Very light, cheap interior, very loud and clicky engine(as in making noise), suspension could be better and not much space. Even though all of the above it is a very good car that i enjoyed having R33. Better build alot more solid car overall. Smooth acceleration of inline six offering more modding potential, yes it is heavier but has also got more power and by the facory stats it is slightly faster then 180. Times: 0-100 nissan 180sx 6.2 sec nIssan skyline 6.18sec. Mods vise six wil always take more then 4 cylinder hence you will better off modifing sky. Interior is alot better, looks more expensive, better suspension, feels better on the road. Conclusion: Sky will cost more to meintain and look after simply due to being six cylinder and overally being more expensive when built. To get 180 close to sky you will need to do a bit of work in suspension department and i supose strenghten the engine unless you do an rb swap. Either way you willnot go wrong, i personally have chosen to go back to sky thanks

Dude, it's pretty simple go skyline r33 series2. Newer. more features, new turbo , good power and yes with a few modes it goes pretty hard. Yes you can not put it next to gtr but by the time you get an r32 running %100 you could have built a gun of an r33. Dont be bothered with the fact that there are many r33 around. That's simply coz they are popular, good quality and pocket rockets plus all the extra space and luxury R32 is lacking. I am really unbias and have had almost every import such as: 300zx tt, r33 series 1, 180sx. Now i got r33 series 2 that cost me about 25gs, have done all the basics such as:suspension, wheels, exaust,body kit filter, cooler, boost Apexi Fc and car is going like a thunder. Have given a few good goes to r32 gtrs belive it or not. Hop-e this helps, anyway this is my 2 cent Cheers

hi guys justa quick one, my mate just bought a series 2 skyline 1996 model.Mods done are POD Filter, catback exaust, suspension and frount mount. He has just bought a n apexi fc and is asking as how many kilowats he can get on a standard turbo. Im assuming about 180 rwkw. Any suggestions or helfull advices would be great. thanks

Huh, it's one of those comparisons. Look it's a little bit ungratefull lcomparing these two cars. Even though skyline is better built car despite 10 year gap it6 still is way better built and overally stronger car. Having said that a lot will depend on the driver, but power to power XR6T will eventually prevail. We also need to look in the price defference, you can get a descent sky for say about 17ks as opposed to 35ks for XR.How bout we use the rest of the money and modd the sky and then compare he, he,he . No seriously it would make more sence comparing r34 gtt to xr6

dude it's one of those topics that can be debated on and on and on.... I've had them both, at the moment i have 95 sx black top. Look comparison wise i reckon that sr has better speed as in stock for stock and it would beat sky, it's lot more lighter, hence you can throw it around alot easier.They look damn fine when done up and are cheaper to maintain. Having said this keep in mind that sky's chassiss is alot stronger, and more bullet proof, sky will never swing as much as sr due to being better build,plus there is the convinience of more space this and that. When sky is done up there isn't many cars that can stay in line with it. Here's my five cents Cheers

Point well made buddy, yes most of the 89 have woudn back kms, however they are still 10 times, sorry 1000000000 times better build and more advanced cars. I had a fomaous "ss vx" and have had skyline r33, 300zx, 180 sx hence i can compare how they drive, quality etc. Either way japs win, not coz im jap bias but simply put if the holden i had was so great why did i convert, hmmmm well i ask myself all the time...........................
