  1. Sold as in car is now no longer in your drive ay or sold as in pending payment?
  2. Fingers X X I should have my R32 by then, and my boss will have his back together. Bring on this cruise. We missed out last year. So I am hoping we will both make it this year.
  3. Okay this is embarressing. I need the torque specs for RB25 DET head bolts. eg: tension torque sequences 1st tension 2nd tension 3rd tension. We've had to pull the head off again. And r33GTS-t-200kw link isn't showing anymore. yeah much appreciated, thanks.
  4. Geordie, don't really want to post as it will bump your add up. But is your car still for sale. I am making progress with my insurance claim. Fingers crossed. I wouldn't mind a trip down to Queanbeyan, yeah might even snow with this current weather.
  5. For those who have recieved the pics via email, could one of them put them up please? Looks like a pretty good buy. Good luck with the sale.
  6. Damned missed this. Any pics? Where did the cops turn up at?
  7. Thanks Mik. We had thought about this, however rather than just going ahead blindly thought it better we ask around. So just get each piston at the top change their valve stem seals? Cool. Will be done this weekend. Thanks for your help.
  8. Yeah maps would have helped us, we ended up getting on the pacific highway as we couldn't find our way back to the F3. Bloody trip took us nearly 2 hours. And if we go to Newcastle again, then no time wasting we go to that big parking lot again above Bar Beach. Very good, 500+ cars can fit.
  9. So I would like to know a couple of things in regards to removing the valve stem seals on a RB25DET engine. 1) Do I have to remove the head off the block? 2) Do I have to remove the valves out of the head? if no to both of these then... How do you remove the valve stem seals? I have used search and had a look at other Skyline websites. So I am hoping someone on here might have done this already. Can anyone help?
  10. Nice car mate, painting is no problems, worth the $6800 your asking for it. Just tell my insurance to hurry the hell up ay? Some nice cheap cars coming up for sale right now. Damn.
  11. Engine is fine, just been rebuilt. However the head service place hasn't done too good a job. Bloody valve stem seals are leaking oil into combustion chamber. Car still goes fine. will be fixed shortly. So what did the highway cops want?
  12. Being a rotary man and this being my first Skyline Cruise, I was impressed with the turn out and the attitude of all members. That many cars of the one make and model, looked pretty special. I liked the cruise, and pretty well organised, no one really got lost. Hey I was in this car here,(baldy head blue jumper wearing person) http://www.hipsi.net/newy/mini-100_1459.JPG We left about 2:45, and the highway patrol turned up at the same time, any problems? Compared to an Ausrotary cruise all the Skylines were very street safe and legit.
  13. Being a rotor enthuisist,, Iwas there mainly for the rotors,I was in the purple RX7 BRP 13B, If the thing had been tuned it would have been on the dyno and would have smashed that piece of crap 808 with the Bridge port. Anyhow, I loved the above pictured R32, what a piece of work, animal. Certainly not a car amny rotors could take on. VL2DY4, what a beast, love the Aero kit, way better than a Walky kit. Used to be a commie nut, but too much money needs to be spent to get any where near you car. The dyno day was pretty damn good for a Sydney tuning house.
  14. Yeah I got my details thank you very much.
  15. Umm can't access details of cruise meetup times and place? anyone want to help me out here please?
  16. 17th of September my boss has been waiting 2 months for this cruise. We have done the rebuild now, put the exhaust back on after the EPA test  Now we're fired up for this one. Look out for White R33 Gtst with C/F bonnet, full body kit(including the little gay roof scoop ), running on 17 ROHs. See you there.
  17. I'll post this up for those who are interested. After stripping down the engine found the following; 1) Pistons 1, 2, 3, 4 all had their middle bridge between the compression rings broken on the turbo side. = sweet stuff all compression. 2) First main end cap bearing on the verge of failing. 3) Turbo tubines/shaft very difficult to turn by hand, like someone had it lubricated with silicone. The last two problems come down to lack of maintenance by my boss's brother. Not regularly checking oil levels. The oil level(when the problems started) was on the bottom line  All is fixed now and the turbo high flowed, car goes like a bullet.
  18. Would like to know the reliability of the factory airflow sensor on a R33 RB25DET. How long do they usually last? What are the symptoms of one failing? How much does a replacement cost? Or is it better just to use aftermarket equipment?
  19. I am a ROTOR NUT. S8s are most rotor nuts' dream cars, so my view is biased. However in an unbiased opinion I would really buy an R34 GTR. They are still fairly rare can be bought at around $65k + . Plus Very very reliable. S8 Rx7 valua will keep dropping particularly when the next generation comes out in late 2006 or early 2007. At the moment they are are good buy at around $40k. Don't buy from an Australian importer, buy direct from Japan. Importers here are whacking on about $10- $15k + upwards
  20. The turbo is based on the factory exhaust housing only. The impeller will be a twin bladed turbine same will be done to the compressor turbine. The compressor turbine will also be 5mm bigger in diameter. The engine is getting a rebuild at 88,000km. Clock was probably wound back. Engine bearings are failing. Engine near impossible to crank by hand. Struggles to run. The oil level had been neglected to the bottom line on the dipstick. How ever after having spoken to Shops in Sydney, they have informed us that the factory sump has no baffle system. When the level is very low, and the car is accelerated hard the oil flows to the back of the sump and away from the pick up. Also my boss wants to start from scratch with this engine. What about injectors? For a high flowed factory turbo, how much cc rate for injectors? Aftermarket computers? Apexi?Microtech?Haltech? What would you choose to use on this system? As for the budget the computer price can go on top of the $4k.
