  1. Man some of those posts are pretty good. Mainly looking for factory performance. Only mods I would do to the R32 GTR would be front mount, exhaust, BOV. I know how well R33 GTSTs goe with the right mods. Have driven one with 207kw ATW, and that keeps me happy. I am not too worried about the actual age of the vehicle just the condition. Bith are in a similar condition. VGC. As for GTRs I would love to get a R32 GTR V spec II.
  2. This my boss's car. Budget $4000. There will be no labour costs we will be doing the rebuild ourselves. Engine's max boost(dual stage) will be 20psi. What I want to find out is... 1)Recommended pistons and rings. 2) " crank big and main bearings. 3) " metal head gaskets. 4) " after market coil packs. In saying recommended, I want to know from those that have tried different brands and how those brands stood up. We are in Sydney and mainly interested in import parts or local as long as we can get them local by end of August at the latest. Again much appreciated.
  3. The title says it all. I am looking at buying either one for very similar pricing. '91 R32 GTR 58000km factory. $29000 ( Black) '96 R33 GTST 89000km; FMIC, 17 in Lensos, exhaust, BOV for $27500 (Silver) Both have NSW rego. This car is to replace my daily and any toy car that I own or wish to own. So it still needs to be special but retain functionality. What would you choose? So in other words a great (stock) car Vs a slightly modded car. Do those twin turbos really make that much of a difference?
  4. On my VS commie amd my S5 t Rx7 I had my pod filters behind the front bar. In the wet I leave the front of it covered by a plastic bag. (sounds dodgy, but if it's your daily there's not much choice.) If only the front is covered then it can still suck air from the sides. Also don't drive too close behind others as you will still suck up all of there spray.
  5. Thank you r33GTS-t-200kw that is very helpful. Just from reading what most people post on this forum I am impressed. Not only with the knowledge but people's attitude as well. So thanks.
  6. I found the manual thread, with all the uploads for nearly all the skylines. Three problems; 1)My printer keeps printing code only 2)My internet speed is down I just finished doing my tax return on line and it sucked up our internet download space. 3)I have tried the links but none of them worked. As both my boss and I are mechanics, (we work in heavy vehicles, so are torque range is usually above 300nm) we need to know just torque specs for the head bolts and fly wheel bolts. Help will be much appreciated.
  7. Putty road > take this at speed and it will certainly show you the benefits of an IRS, low profile and wide tyres. Very windy (pronounced wyndy)... it's alot more than just that. It does have a few nice long straight stretches as well.
  8. Hello everyone, I might be new here but not elsewhere. My Boss's Skyline has died. He's rebuilding the top end himself and paying an engine shop to do the rest. How ever here is where I need some help. We can't find any workshop manuals for R33 Skylines. If we go to Nissan the manual will cost around $360. So I was wondering if anyone knows what the torque specs are for the head and other top end components.
