Ben and Craig at J-Spec really look out for you. I've imported 3 cars now, 2 with J-Spec and I have been thru the process with other companies and haven't found them as "YOU" focussed as J-Spec. I am fussy about ANY surface rust anywhere on the car and Ben simply checked every car that looked good and even if it was a specced up brilliant car, if it had any r-u-s-t he would steer me away from it, even though he could have let me buy and got me outa his hair many times. You'll be happy with what you end up with, with J-Spec... Another well known company was happily dishing up 15 or so Legnums I could buy every day (when I thought that was what I wanted). Ben knew what I wanted, clued me in on Legnums (95% will have some minor rust, somewhere in/on the car - just a well know reality - but said he would hunt for one if I really wanted one!) and faithfully searched for what I wanted in a Stagea (RWD, mods, fruit, km's, etc) and it took 8 weeks to find something we were both happy with. Because of him I will own a more dependable, reliable, modification-friendly, value-packed and, importantly, 'hold it's value' kind of vehicle. If my wife doesn't enjoy the firm ride or the recaros or something, I can make a small profit, move on and get another vehicle from Japan. I'm the type of guy who is very particular about being dealt with kindly and professionally. Couldn't fault J-spec... Even when there's been little on offer in the auctions for a particular day, and I send them a query about 3 or 4 cars, they respond with ALL the relevant details - with a smile! It's all about service... and the car!

Nice S2. Looks great! Plenty of good deals around on S2's if you are patient... Mine took 8 weeks to find (S2 RSV RWD with similar fruit and only 59kms) but is still not home yet. Been in Brissie being complied. Was finished 2 weeks ago but waiting for compl. plate appr. etc. (taps foot...) Have been through this twice before but still hate waiting! Is your car 4WD or RWD?

Is an immobiliser fitment mandatory??? In all states??? Would like to find out b4 my car is ready to come home!!! I asked the shop in Brissie and they said there was no immob fitted and that it would have to be fitted after compliance was approved and car was picked up... know any sites which list what cars, or even S2 Stageas have to have done during compliance. They don't even change the oil anymore!!!

What was your last car??? I've owned 2 RWD R33 Turbos and with less weight, more power and decent sussie and rubber... and a wise ankle angle, I don't see how a far less powerful car could outrun you!

Even a simple front bar swap will do me! I know there's not too many S2's out there yet, especially in Silver, but there has got to be someone who sees the value in this soon! The car is sitting in Brissie awaiting paperwork! BUMP!!!

This thread is hard to follow... but... I'm definitely affter a full S2 Dayz Kit - but before I can commit, I need to find a buyer for my (more valuable and lower!!!) full Dolphin Kit. I've posted a for sale/swap thread in the For Sale section (for Stag's) but haven't had a lot of interest yet! The guys where my car is being complied can't believe I didn't get a taker on the first day! But until I get a buyer ... I can only express interest I'm afraid. The Dayz kit is not my favourite kit,, but it's not as low, which suits my steep driveway... (and my wife's fear of speed hump sparks!) Will hopefully have a surer idea soon...

Astonishing performance numbers, although being benchmarked against the 911T it was always going to rip off the line and handle well! Can't wait to read more about it... But... that face! It honestly ain't that pretty! It's not as jaw-grindingly tough as it could have looked. Was the wind-tunnel to blame, or did an R33 Facial rob us the Nissan faithful of a potentially Aston-like persona and character... It's a bit of a shame considering how I'm sure it will go... It's still going to sound phenomenal and have a menacing presence, but.... yeah... looks count for something don't they!?!

The kit on my stagea is too low for our (country) driveway. Looking to trade for a Dayz full kit. Will consider a swap for a front bar initially if nobidy has a full Dayz in the next couple of wks. Car is being complied in Brisbane. Ready to trade now though as kit will be able to be swapped at the Compliance shop... Car is a Series 2 Stagea RSV and Sonic Silver. If somebody has a car in this colour, it will take precedence... otherwise, first in first served! One slight graze on rear corner and a 6 cm crack inside front right guard/wheelarch (thanks Mr Towey!) which is hard to spot unless looking! Here are some pics... PM Me ... please! iijjee
